Sorry the pic is bad, just got in, and too dark to take in natural light. Here's another bad pic...bobcat I saw today, to far for my phone camera

Been beating this hilltop for 2 years now. Targets where getting slim...last time out, had to break out with the Deus and elliptical coil, cranked up to 74k, just to avoid the skunk. Hit it with the good Ole GP Extreme/ minelab 11dd today, and damn! Was digging signals , where there was none all summer, ha. Thought I would finally post something, since I've become more of a lurk n give an attaboy type member.
-
Me n Dan Miller started that. Cut out a square flap, pull all targets. There's a small tree out there too. Me n Dan plowed up the dirt around it, pulled every target ,kept a 5 gallon bucket next to us for trash, ended up with 40 plus old coins. Was nuts. Taught me a lesson about masking, lol.

Good business decisions??? That’s debatable. 😎
I'm Mopar, not Chevy, and did I say anywhere about good business practices. I kept it simple. Businesses are there to make money. I have a roofing g company. I'm not doing it for a hobby.

Man...I used to park hunt Stockton all the time, but your photo...and the fact I don't want to be murdered, I think I will stick to hiking the hills. Except Wino, haha. Will have to take the Manicure for a spin there.
-
Businesses are there to make profit. No matter how much people want to change that fact nowadays.

Wino park is infamous.
Yeah. Was my home turf. Probably spent hundreds of hours there. Your buddy Tom didn't like it, ha

Not that it matters that much, but I must not have perfect pitch because I am struggling to hear the difference between clad and silver in the video. I've always wanted to test the people who claim to be able to hear the difference on buried clad and silver with the screen taped off. Maybe ten of each. Even with their chosen detector be it Explorer, Etrac, CTX. I don't think they could tell. Then you throw in worn silver in the mix. Personally I don't think it's possible. Again not that it really matters because your going to be digging any tone like that anyway. Nice little video though.
Ummm...I could often do it, back in the day, with the Sovereign. And with 3 digit difference on clad dime vs silver dime, I bet many young ears could. Probably not me anymore though...56 , and ALOT of metal concerts, haha

When the small coils come out, we need to hit Wino park in Stockton. If ya never been before, the coins come out unbelievable. Au barbers
-
I should realize, without a smaller coil, probably won't be same
-
Right on. Have you played with gold mode yet? Can it hit same fly poop pieces as well as the nox?

Quick vid of tones/ vdi. Phrunt should be happy, real short! 😄 jk

Who said it was a "no"? I thought it was quite informative and I think he reloaded it after removing that long black screen section at the end. It is only 46 min. long now.
Ok...guess I misinterpreted.

The FCC application says they used Bluetooth LE so it makes no sense and for some reason nobody with one will answer the question.
@deathrayI'm just a bit overdone with videos now when it comes to the Manticore and when I saw that one goes for 1 hour 20 minutes for an unboxing video I wasn't all that interested in watching it, nothing against the guy who did it of course, a lot of people are likely hanging out for such a video and will enjoy it, I'm more of a short and sweet person with videos, ones that get to the point with just information not unwrapping something. I was just hoping they revealed if the older Bluetooth headphones work on it, they won't work with atpx LL as its not incorporated into Bluetooth LE but if they just connect to it with Bluetooth that's all I want to know as that would confirm they haven't done the crazy act of moving off standard.
It's cool brother...Mark is a good friend, but I pretty much don't watch ANY unboxing vids. I saw it.pop up, and shared. If it got good feedback, I would watch when I got home, but sounds like that's a no?

If anyone watches a 1 hour and 20 minute video unboxing a detector can they please let me know if the guy mentions if the thing can use standard Bluetooth devices. I can't bring myself to watch it and to even flick though it to find the spot he mentions something about audio would just take too much effort.
I just want my own Manticore, not to watch others fiddling with theirs 🙂 unfortunately they are just taking too long to get the things out in the wild.
Ha. Just got home. So not a good vid? Still haven't seen

Ooops...sorry Steve, didn't mean to post twice

My buddy Mark, just posted this. I haven't seen it yet, but he is usually pretty thorough

I'm mostly a relic hunter, and though I've had the gp extreme for about 8 years, only started really using it 2 years ago...when I got Docs screamer batteries. I HATED carrying that brick. So, I don't know a PI machine well enough , to give advice.
But, I do know that wet ground can be kind of a curse, when in the real irony gold rush camps I hunt. All that iron hides the good stuff, and then wet ground amplifies it..halo effect I guess. Regardless, I detect when I can, which is mostly during the wet times...often in pouring rain.
