Nice one Coiltek! That's the coil of my dreams.. On my beaches I reckon a bigger coil can hit targets just out of reach of the 15''.. I'm thinking deep silver coins which I normally have to wait for huge tides to move layers of sand before I can get to them.. Also at low tides at the back of some bays it could be good for deep coins and silver jewellery.. When it gets released I'll definitely buy one.. I'm not going to crow on about game-changer or anything like that but I've got a feeling that I've been missing out on deep silver which I can probably get to with this 18'' coil..

Also the Coiltek 15'' is already a deep monster on my beaches.. and their little wading coil (14''x9'') is also a ripper.. Coiltek look after beach hunters.. 😁

We want 'em to look after land lubbers! 🙂

I was reading through the video comments on Youtube today and noticed that Gary asked, "Who was the mystery detectorist, Post below". Someone replied, "Monsieur Alain Loubet" and Gary replied, "Bingo!", so it was a friend of his. Very clever, Mr. B! 😎

Tell Monsieur Loubet that "we" want a 6"--or-- (5X10") coil for the Deus 2!!!!!!!! 🙂

Love my 9" coil too. For the type of hunting I do, it's the perfect size. It's sort of spoiled me a little. Now when I go back to any other detector with a standard 11" coil, it just feels nose heavy by comparison.

This is "off topic" a little---but---I LOVE your Silver Slayer program Don.----I use it very effectively with both the 9" & 11" D2 coils.-------Del

I have seen that for a short time last year the SunRay NX-1 inline probe pinpointer system was for sale online and from a few suppliers.  This was short lived and soon became virtually impossible as is the case today.  I was just wondering if any of the Equinox users on here were lucky enough to purchase one, and if so how did it work for you?  I'm hoping that in the not so distant future, the SunRay company will begin production again for all of the Equinox metal detector options that have become available.  ✌️

Doubt that is likely to happen.----Ralph (Sunray) was in semi-retirement & is probably fully retired by this time.

    Hi,

I'm looking for an Equinox 700/900 collapsable shaft, but don't know where to find it. I'm in Europe, Spain.

I use one similar from aftermarket, but the quality of the Minelab's is better.

    Any help, please? 🙏

    Thanks in advance!

I'm surprised the Chinese Cloners never made them, they've duplicated many Whites models before and especially after their demise and the Tesoro's would be such an easy clone for them even with schematics floating around for models to make it even easier yet they never bothered.  I guess they just figured they're too outdated to make it worthwhile.    I expected when they went bust the cloners would go nuts making them but it never took place.  I guess they'll only clone what they think will sell well enough to make it viable and if they can't sell lots of them with their very cheap prices Tesoro had little hope in todays market.

Part of that problem being the lifetime warranty, why buy new when a decade old second hand one is still under warranty forever so just as good as new.  Great for the customer, terrible for the business unless they're a very innovative business and new models obsolete old models so people want to upgrade, in their case little changed with models so they killed their own business.

FYI-----Tesoros lifetime warranty wasn't transferable to subsequent buyers.

The advantage is universal with any coil. It's extremely rigid, even more comfortable than the XP shaft (if that is possible), it's a bit longer for us taller folks, and it has by far the best retaining rig for the remote I've seen. The cuff is beyond good as well.

That sounds like the whole shaft/unit.----I thought we were talking about just the lower shaft---guess I mis-understood.

Without question, it was Steve Goss’ carbon fiber detector rod for the D2.  Light years better than the stock rod in every way.

Is there an advantage over with Steves carbon fiber shaft (over the stock shaft) when using the D2 with 9" & 11" coils (land hunting)?----Or is Steves shaft mainly for use with the big coil?

That you can't save custom discrimination patterns just irritates me.  The interface is all there.  It's a deliberate hold back of a feature.  And it irritates me.

Get to save one, by tying up a search mode as a favorite.  Lame.

Yes----It DEFINITELY is an irritation.----I hope they can (or will) change that.

Hopefully they will see your post Chuck and write some new music and change their tune. They have covered the bases for what will most likely be largely a European market with the two box.Now it's time to take care of us Yanks with some ridiculously long overdue coil options. They are running out of excuses at this point in time although they have offered none....Nuff said.

Amen & Amen brotha!!!!!------All I want is a 5X10" (or there bouts)-----for my EXCELLENT Deus 2 and I will be happy as a kid with a sweet tooth in a candy store!
