Ever seen Star Trek? In it is a race of beings called the Borg that are half computer and half alien. They act like computers insomuch as they won't attack an actual invader on their own ship unless they calculate them to be a threat, they'll literally let trespassers walk around among them and prefer to spend time by paying attention only to relevent matters at hand, not seeing the potential problem it might cause in the future having intruders there. But as soon as they change their minds and see you as a threat, you will be rapidly assimilated or destroyed, but often it's too late. And they pretty well assimilate all technology around them and make it into super Borg tech. No one debates they don't do it as well or better than anyone else in the universe though.

In a way, Minelab reminds me of the Borg. It seems like there are a number of very obvious things they simply choose to ignore because they simply aren't viewed as causing problems...yet. But when it's finally made obvious to them a problem exists, then they dedicate all sorts of resources to fixing it, but often much too late. They sure do like some good ole assimilation via patents from what I can tell too.

Alright alright I might have to increase the sensitivity on my Legend. Been keeping it at 26-27 and it's been doing alright for me. No chains yet though, so hopefully this change will make a difference!
The legend has been quite an amazing beginners first detector for me. It's simple enough to learn and operate and the finds have been incredible! It's an adventure every time I'm out there detecting, as you never know what you might find!

Ok, ok---don't keep us in suspense!----What are these "incredible finds" you have been making with it??----Pics would be nice to!

Now that I have studied the new equinox units a bit more....it does have the expanded id numbering system.

With that being said.....I did like the original equinox units.

I have watched a few separation videos between the deus 2 vs eq900.

I think in similar situations and similar settings the 2 units could go head to head with similar performance.

I am thinking I may try out an eq900 and trade in my deus 2.....I am very tempted

Tim----That last sentence would be a mistake.-----Get 'em both!

Just curious about how it will handle high ground minerals and how it will compare to some of my classic detector's such as my IDX Pro with Mr. Bill's mods. I also want to compare it to my Quest Q 30+.

    Go get 'em George!-----Give us a full report---don't hold anything back---good, bad & ugly (warts & all)!👍

I think all the coils available have their strengths & place.  A couple of Concentrics would be nice.

My last three Seated coins were all Dimes.  1876 was in the best condition. I would like to find a Half Dime too.

I found one SL half dime in my whole life (so far).---An 1854-O & it was found on 6/15/'19.----Found with the ORX & 9" h.f. coil---read like a zinc penny.-----I want to find a Bust (anything) coin---have never found one of them.

Thanks for being patient with some of these posts Daniel since I didn’t read anywhere in your posts where you asked for Legend help, advice, tips or even said anything about not knowing what you were doing besides the discrepancy in the printed manual.

Anyway, when is the last time anyone not named Daniel that has posted, found an 1885 Seated dime. It has been three years since I found a seated dime but it was an 1887.

    I found a 1850-O SL dime 4 1/2 yrs. ago--CTX w/6" coil--would that do? 🙂

Sometimes. I just do a frequency shift on my detector. I also keep the coil of my detector well away from my pinpointer.

Ok--thanks-----I have been interested in and considered purchase of that pinpointer for some time but the thing that has stopped me from purchasing them for my wife & I is the fact I had heard cross talk was a problem (when used with the D2 & Legend).----That was the reason I was asking--you have rekindled my interest in it.-----Enjoy your posts Jeff.

I have found the Fisher/Teknetics Pulse Induction pinpointers to definitely have more depth in moderate to high iron mineralization than my Garrett Carrot or my former XP Mi-6. Set on full sensitivity my Tek-Point will hit coin sized targets in the really bad dirt out here at 4" deep or more which is why I use them. My Garrett Carrot will do about 2.5" max.

In milder soil conditions, I don't know if that extra depth really matters.

Jeff----Do you experience any "cross talk" when using the Tek-point pinpointer with your Deus 2 & Legend?

Well, I'm not confident my wife is on the same side as you on that one.  When I told her I got a new detector she said "what, another one?!"  Then continued "how many do you have??"  When I stammered and said I wasn't sure she said "See what I mean!!"

Ask her how many shoes she has! 😉

My english to but i will try to explain

I degrease silencer , ground balance -5 points, reactivity

I go very slowly and in the sound of the headphone there was a Little good sound in the middle of the noise.

A lot of time there was a coin or a good target.

Obviously I use this settings in small zone.

    The coil Is very heavy

This is my experience with Deus 1 and the 11*13 coil.

    Thank you Sir.
