This reminds me so much of off seasons in professional sports.  For example, when football ends, all we get is a bunch of opinion driven b.s. from talking heads who are filling air time.

Same thing with detecting.  Like you guys, I concur that the speculation and opinion blathering is worthless nonsense.  But it will never go away I'm afraid.  The Pandora's Box of unlimited media access has been opened and its effect will be all around us forever.

What I have noticed is the disappearance of the posting of hunt results from detectorists.  Not these mind numbing thirty minute videos of coils swinging over grass or sand but just simple pictures of cool stuff found.  Years ago on the Findmall forum there was a guy named Mike Moutray who was a master of the Minelab Explorer.  He would post his finds via pictures and a written description and they were really fun to follow.  No discussions of settings or testing or anything.  Just hunting.  I still believe that those posts have value.  I just don't know if the world we live in now feels the same way.

    I remember Mike (and Bryce)----good/no b.s. guys!

No, but rumour is floating around it's going to be priced along side the Simplex somewhere, and it will hurt Simplex sales significantly if this is the case, I'd much rather it than a Simplex.

"If" it's in that price range I would certainly agree with you on that.

haha, they've genuinely called it the "tormentor" metal detector on the test reports, as no doubt they're tormenting Nokta

Also they went Bluetooth LE, gone is atpX Low latency.   Sucks to own a GPX 6000 with LL when all the cheaper newer detectors have superior wireless audio.

Whatd'ya mean "tormenting Nokta???-----I don't see it making a pimple on the Legends backside! lol

I agree with the others on the 24K, I actually have 2 of the 6 inch coils and the 10x6 as well as the 14x8 the 14x8 I use in more open areas because you sure are not getting it under rocks and stuff

been giving some thoughts to parting with one of the 6 inch coils, but not sure yet because just as sure as I sell it or give it to someone the one I keep will quit working LOL

That sometimes happens.----That's why I like to have a spare/fall back of equip. (if I can afford it). :)------

GB, I've given up on trying to explain or believe that I know the reason why things sound like they do. I now think there are so many different ground scenarios that are possible and some perhaps even sound the same as others but for a totally different reason. All I listen for now is enough good info to make me want to investigate the target. Even then I still find myself digging very iffy signals. lol

my knowingness is knowing I don't have a clue.😂  But I'm having fun!

Tom-----Now I can relate to that!!! lol

Agree with you I think the 1.11 will most likely be the last update but I do not want it completely locked so they can't do bug fixes, which I feel there are a couple bugs that need fixed my hopes are they finally fix those bugs with the 1.11

I will also agree that Nokta's first swing with SMF they knocked it out of the park, leaves you thinking if they can build a detector like the legend on the first try at SMF what does the future detectors they can build going to be, like the PI they are working on

And (IYO) what are those "couple of bugs that need fixed"?----Just curious.
