They are the Nokta Macro field reps around the world and they are product testers and the Go-To folk for answers. On the N/M site go to the NM club at the top and navigate down to the Nomads. I know a few of them.

My machine has a factory program in slot 14 that says FAST 40. I cannot find any information on it anywhere. I tested it and it seems like a Fast program on steroids. Very accurate separation and target ID!!! I tested with a silver quarter surrounded by flat iron nails. Anyone have any info on this?

I believe the question about can manual ground balance function be added in the FMF modes has already been sent to XP and answered. The answer was no with no explanation given. XP are considering ground notch for Relic and Gold Field however.
I read that too on another forum. XP stated that each frequency in FMS mode would require individual GB and they stated NO.

I wish they would have left manual ground balance as an option in all programs. It's only available in mono.
I'm already finding myself needing the fine adjustments of manual ground balance the Deus 1 offered. I guess they figured it wasn't needed with the multi programs. Being able to adjust GB manually allows you to squeeze a little more depth out a machine in bad dirt. It can also be used to tune out small pockets of mineralization that may have not been present at the site you GB'd on. One reason ground notch would have also been nice.
Probably not a big issue for most and I can live without it. But I really wish they would have left manual GB as an option.
I would suggest bringing this to the attention of TNSS. He is in contact with XP and should add this to the list of improvements. 👍

I bought the D2 after watching it's separation and recovery speed in trash and iron. The ability to find a good target amongst bottle caps and nails and still get a good VDI blew me away. Also the ability to ignore iron entirely. I am setting up a new YouTube channel to do "In the Wild" videos. I will do videos comparing with my other machines and I invite other CT guys to participate and test against your machines. This would be fun!!!

I will also test an area where my buddy and I have hunted where there are 5 cell towers in one spot. We both detected this beautiful colonial site for an entire day and we didn't even get one signal the entire time!!

I can't wait for that test. Those trains are killers to depth. I spent all day today hunting at a beach where the train is within 30 feet. If you get a chance to bury something while the tracks are not as active, and then as they are active, it would be interesting to see how much loss there is. If you are testing the same rail as I hunt, I'll be shocked if you can get that machine silent.
Thank you.
You know the line. It's the shoreline running along the CT coast from NYC to Boston. There are other spots like the power generating stations in Bridgeport and Stratford CT. I will test Active vs Inactive as you requested. 👍
I'm going to start a metal detecting YouTube channel so I can put the videos there. I already have a Motorcycle channel, "TTRGUY", but don't want to pollute it with metal detecting.

Thanks for speculating.
You are welcome. As I stated, I am going to test the Deus 2 around WereWolf EMI areas we have here. I'm going to start a detecting YouTube channel so I can put the videos there. I already have a Motorcycle channel but don't want to pollute it with metal detecting stuff

This is not true. I have heard the Deus2 in his vids struggle. The key is what sensitivity and depth with the same conditions?
Also, just because a detector can silence EMI, does not equate to it working better.
Quite frankly I am appalled at anyone testing both detectors, keeping them both on. Closer then 100' apart.
Third- Quality headphones are the decider of how the machine works. NOT the machine on speaker.
Calabash has shown he has very bad EMI where he lives. I never said that because he can make it quieter that depth doesn't suffer. Yes, keeping both on is a mistake but initially, who knew? That's just his video. There are many more videos that show Deus 2 works well in EMI. Like I said I will test EMI and post here.

OK, I am getting little hints that the Deus 2 may be more sensitive/affected by EMI? So the question is: Which machine can run hotter in EMI? Please no speculation. Only users that have tested both machines in a known EMI spot. Especially beach modes. Thanks
Calabash Digger and others have shown the Deus 2 is excellent at handling bad EMI. The EMI issue what CB and others have shown is that the Deus 2 and Nox machines do not play well together. A video was shown that when a Nox was near a Deus the Deus stopped functioning altogether. Others on the Nox side stated similar. Mine will be in my hands this weekend and I will do some radical EMI testing around electrical substations and electric railroad switches and lines. I will try to post videos here or on YouTube.
Cheers

True perhaps if the only detecting market was the gold nugget market, which it is not. You guys generally sit out things like the fact that the Equinox/Deus 2/Legend debate is now what has the forums on fire, because it has very little to do with nugget detecting. Coin and relic is FTs bread and butter market, and multifrequency is where all the action is. The First Texas response so far is to just discontinue the one multi offering they have had since day one, the Fisher CZ, retaining it only still in a diving model, the CZ-21. They are simply absent from the party. Garrett's Apex may be lackluster, but it at least gets them a mention for that. Fisher is totally out of the discussion.
I agree. Minelab basically owns the nugget market, and that's not going to change. It's multifrequency coin and relic detecting we are generally talking about on this thread. It's been and still is FTs main paycheck, and milking old single frequency designs is a losing strategy in the long run. The Impulse AQ is a money and time wasting distraction. They need to bring some real competitive multi to the market fast, or be relegated to simply being Bounty Hunter. That's all they really are now, as they lower the price of the better Fisher and Teknetics models, and move them to the Bounty Hunter brand. May as well just kill Fisher and Teknetics off, and embrace Bounty Hunter. That could work for a long time, just milk that stuff for all it's worth, leveraging their low cost manufacturing facilities, and already paid off development costs, to sell cheaper and cheaper machines. Bounty Hunter F75 for $299? $199? The day is coming.
It is a losing strategy in the end, but that has not prevented a lot of companies from going down that road. Unless some huge surprise comes out of left field, that's where I see First Texas heading. Back to it's Bounty Hunter roots, and irrelevancy.
Steve
Agree 100%! As a manufacturer here in the USA myself, a LOT of company's here are trying to ween themselves of having to buy or have their products made/assembled in China or other countries due to lead times/shipping issues and control of their products. First Texas has always been primarily a contract manufacturer of electronic assemblies for a myriad of US manufacturers. The metal detecting wing is/was just for ha ha's. Right now they are swamped and expanding the contract manufacturing side of the business. The metal detecting side is taking a real backseat and is not where they make their money.

My point in posting that video and comment was Primarily because as a technical guy I think it is Hilarious.!
The original story behind it is said to be the guy was an actor and made all that up On The Spot, if so that is very impressive and creative.
My secondary reason for the post is sometimes if people are made fun of even if it offends them it at least wakes them up.!
This is a Technology Based competitive industry, if you do not offer competitive technology, You Soon Won't Be In The Industry.!
I find the older I get, The Less I care about offending people, Especially these days with Political Correctness Out of Control. A JOKE is A Joke, People.
Here is the latest update....

I have the Impact and have really only used the DI99 as my preferred mode since 2017. I will never sell this detector!

It's only a delay as they made it a delay, that's been my point, revealing too much information and engaging too much with the customers hasn't worked out so well this time. It's also caused personal verbal attacks on Dilek where people have been outright mean which is just not acceptable. We seem to live in a world where people must have everything now, so when they announced it people wanted it in their hands, as time went by anger built people didn't have it. The good bit about this for Nokta is what company doesn't want people so desperately wanting their product they get angry they can't have it?
I'm sure there was a lot learnt with this release and mistakes won't be repeated.
For all we know the Deus 2 could have been delayed by a year or more, they only let us know it existed when it was a completed product ready to market, even then it had logistics delays but who doesn't now? We expect that 🙂
We are right at the pointy end of the Legend release now, and its great even at this point they're doing improvements, and with Nokta's track record there will be many more improvements to come after its release, not just fixes for bugs but more actual improvements. I just really hope Nel and or Detech end up being able to make coils for it, that's my decision maker.
Nokta said they would target shipping in December. With changes being made in software and possibly hardware on the testers machines (screens menus), I feel confident they will be shipping very soon. Worst case February and that's only a delay of 3 months compared to Minelab's 6+ month delay. Nokta is doing this right IMHO!!

Strange...I am buying out of the first batch just to test it.
I can't wait for your videos! I had one on pre-order the moment they announced it. I cancelled because of the video you and others did on the Deus II which I also have on pre-order.

I have to agree with you on how well the manual is written and easy to understand.
I wish you and I both had one in our hands to do some testing for ourselves. I’ve checked my mail box just in case it was running late getting to me but nothing as of yet.haha
I told Dilek I was up for adoption plus I was house broke but she showed no interest.
The Best To You!
Chuck
LOL!!! Have a Happy New Year.

The manual so far is very well done. It helps to have the unit in hand to test all the features!

Thanks for consolidating this!!! 👌👍

The new Legend manual is on Nokta's site!
It's not the final version as Dilek stated there needs to be a few changes made.https://www.noktadetectors.com/wp-content/file-download/the-legend/the-legend-user-manual-en.pdf

By the looks of the face of the machine in all the photos I've seen, I'm thinking they used a high grade of silicone rubber for the membrane. If this is the case the face should last forever.
