This is a very good comparison of Spectra and Equinox -  detectors with the high standard of detection quality - what you wrote, all you can do is that the user of these detectors will try to get the best of both detectors ...

Optimal coil  for SPECTRA V3- maintain high sensitivity and depth and separation to tiny things -0.05 gram gold O segment at a depth of 10cm, and reach enough depth on the coins -ag Denar in a depth of 23cm similar to the standard large coils ...- somehow similar simulating the Park 2 program at Equinox-likewise, I know the multifrequency 3F Whites Spectra V3. I have achieved very good results at the mars sniper 6X10 coil with Rxgain9-TX boost ON, DS95-96 ,,, even when detecting SEF 12x10 coil  is is a little bit more-better to give a signal on small coins -in 23cm. but again it is slightly less sensitive to 0.05gram gold O segment in depth of 10cm.In this game there is a lot of factor - magnitude of coil-ground signal, resilience-sensitivity to Emi, Separation, sensitivity to very tiny things, and reach to very small things and also male and large coins. so the optimum coil size is somewhere in the 7X10 or 8x9 range to maintain depth, sensitivity, separation, good resistance to EMI and ground mineralization, and quiet work on high sensitivity.
 

Very high speed speeds are more Emi sensible- because it is less ground signal -less signal coin -and more Emi signal plus-and very short time for analizing less signal- in this case less recovery help.  To see     for deep signals ,,,but also for very small objects-even in a small depth  this- signal not very clean..its type color-ferous tone.-in very high recovery speed..so gold detectors do not have a super high recovery speed, but only reasonably fast...

if the right people - like Carl .. in the right place, plus enough positive energy, so it is possible to make a perfect detector ...

I do not want to ask too much about the details, but will the new Fisher -VLF ?detector be? a Multifrequency?

Programs Park 1, Pole1 with frequencies of 20 khz and 40khz are more sensitive - they see tiny gold as in multi-frequency - it's also a detail but it's good to know it ...

Last Saturday I wrote to my retailer about the availability of a 6 "coil, and replied that it was the first 2 weeks to come ... so now there is a real situation for 8-10 days.

Good view, Mike..., at Spectra is a dimensionally good-sensitive and stable Vrated and Emi resilient coil - it is the foundation for this detector ... For example 6x4 shooter is low RX gain is low sensitive to small things ...

I did a short test of Beach2 - sens16, recovery speed4,,with normal TX performance .. and also from a overload-reducedTX performance on coin 50eurocent, and a large piece of lead and will not make a big differencein depth ..- maybe 2-3cm ..., and less ...

I also thought about this, the user profile could be activated by long pressing of the change of frequency button, just like with the expanded setting button....

For a deep understanding of how Equinox programs work: Not only about Weighing at certain frequencies, there is Tx power transmity frequency, and on the coil side is the amount of amplification of the signal -RX gain .... For example, the program of Beach2 is discarded by Tx transmit in contrast to other programs. For better understanding by program park1, park2, field1, field2.gold1, gold2 I recommend to do ground test - at individual frequencies of 20 and 40 kHz ..- see the relative strength of the sensitivity of each program..but the beach programs work only on multi frequency ...

Mark ..... did you test this for more silver coins?  Your opinion about the test...?

I have the same insight as Steve H., the price of $ 200 is too high, I guess identical headphones on Garret-a price of $ 65 ...., so buy Minelab headphones or GoGs ..
 

I have done a similar test on 3 items-on flat and on the edge: 1.silver coin 1Korona FJ 1893-23mm-5.0 Gram- no problem all programs stable TID, ... 2 .it Silver Tackle 25cm x12cm-148gram - all programs stable TID, ... And finally 3rd big Silver coin 1FL zlatnik-FJ I -29mm-12.5gram -and here has changed coin to flat-all programs stable TID, .... Coin built on the edge-was TID and audio is" Unstable" in- low frequenci weigted programs "type1": -park1, field1, beach 1, beach 2 ... To improve the audio response helped move from 5ton to 50ton or 2ton ... Test on high-frequency weigted programs "type 2" -Park2, Field2, Gold1, Gold2 was a OK stable TID and Audio-Show position of this big coin ...

.....I would not underestimate Wayne,- who did these tests ... at Ring and the coin at the edge ... I did a similar test and on a big silver coin or ring, Equinox would have an unstable response to Park1, Field1, Beach1aBeach2 ... On Park2, Field2, Gold1a Gold2, TID and Audio are all right...
 

In 50-tone or 2Tone - in contrast to 5 tons, you get a full ,stronger sound response - especially if  items,coins  it is stored at the edge - a strong ID deviation in programs "low frequency weighted" Park1,Feld1, Beach1, Beach 2 ... or in a situation ID is less stable....

If you have a 3-5 ID ID in the Park1, Field1, Beach1, Beach2 program, check it on one ofprogram- the Park2, Field2, Gold1, Gold2 programs and if the ID goes up, you can try digging ...it can be an item on the edge...

...a Coil of 9 "or less, it will have a superior 2D separation across the 11" coil, "- every detector ..." but now I'm waiting for a 6 "coil on the equinox ... I believe its size will be pretty deep...
