Another "Brandon" screws things up.Â

I'm thinking two local wild animal mods for @klunker & I. The reason I want two different mods is to keep the interference down in close proximity. Klunker has to be a bear sound. If you have ever seen him before he has had his coffee, you will know why. I'm definitely wanting the Sasquatch mod, because I'm tall and smell wonderful. Please message me back on prices. 😜🤣

I honestly don't think there is much you can do to shave weight off of the gpz 7000. Unless you do what Steve did with a ATX.Â
A Nuggetfinder coil did reduce my weight. I've always harnessed in with a Hipstick. I wouldn't jeopardize ruining my $1100 dollar coil just for saving a few ounces with no coil cover. And putting a ctx battery only makes for a shorter detecting day.Â

A little known fact that may help out: one of the most influential scientists in history, Michael Faraday, who discovered the principles underlying electromagnetic induction to which modern metal detectors owe their existence, also invented a gravity balancing device in the year 1824. Once attached, this device will effectively render the GPZ 7000 completely weightless, eliminating the need for a harness and bungee system.Â
This is way more funnier than my post on selling everything. 🤣Â

I just got a private message from Steve H. He said to move all things for sale to the classified ads and not clutter the main forum, or else! 🤣

Never used skid plates.
Epoxy resin "Hardfacing" far lighter and costs considerably less-
How would one go about doing this epoxy? I would be interested in seeing some pictures or videos on this process. Â

Is this Nuggetfinder or Coiltek? I wonder if it is bump sensitive to trees? 🤣 For more depth, they should get a little closer to the soil. Where's the skid plate? 🤣

Can we pay the membership fee in gold? Not for me, just Klunker! 🤣

I was thinking about getting the Nunya 5150. With the 7000, 6000, 1000, 800 already, I'm good until something Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious comes along. But I might be in the market for a new coil.Â

Hi Richard,
I understand the frustration out there at the moment, rest assured we are working very hard to bring the Xceed coils to market as soon as possible.
The testing we perform on every coil we manufacture is well beyond that of any other coil manufacturer. As part of our final testing stage every coil is placed into a jig where it is squeezed, flexed & bumped, if a coil generates noise at this stage it will not pass QC.
Unfortunately during the squeeze testing we discovered an issue with an unusually high number of coils. This issue was not apparent during initial testing of our R&D coils and only became apparent when we started testing large volumes of coils during production.  Â
We take this testing very seriously as it reflects in the stability & longevity of the coil in the field. Â
Resolving this issue required a complete redesign of the coil, this included having new parts custom made and many hours of field testing.Â
Put simply, we will not supply a product that we are not 100% happy with.
It is now my mission to have the 12x7 version of the Xceed coils into the shops before Christmas with the 16x10 to follow early in 2023.
I am sorry but that is about as accurate a date as I am willing to commit to at this time.
Thank you for your patience. Regards,Rohan

So loyal minelab customers that happen to purchase a 6000 a bit early than the EMI problem was addressed publicly, they get to spent $20 bucks of their own money for shipping and without their machine for 2 weeks. While newer customers get rewarded with a 6000 with the EMI fix and a new gold monster. Thanks minelab. 🖕

Was this test performed on the dog side or the cat puking up a hairball side. Makes me wonder why the Aussies use so much profanity. Regardless of what @klunkersays, I'll end up purchasing one of these, because I'm a coil addict.Â

I messaged back and forth with @vanursepaul a couple of days ago. He is in the Philippines, learning primitive tribal skills from the elders. He was making a wooden metal detector as we messaged. I'll message him now and let him know to check back in to the Detector Prospector HQ.Â

I recently purchased another GPZ 19 inch coil, just so I could use them for snowshoes. Now they finally have a useful purpose. 🤣
