If you find a larger piece of this meteorite then the 'sky is the limit' price wise, the lucky finder would be over the moon and out of this world 🤣🤣🤣

Steve,i seriously think this is a wise move, and will eliminate all the potential spammer, all the genuine folks who apply to join the forum wont mind at all,but the initial hurdle that will be in place should eliminate the majority of spammer.....so yes this suggestion from you gets my approval.

The T2 is my all time favourite detector and have had it many many years, its a shame that they have not brought out a MF machine....i would have thought that if they had something special in the pipe line to go head to head with say the Nox or Deus or any other of the MF manufactures they would have done so before know.
This is just my personal opinion and pure gut feeling but i dont the Fisher/First Texas garden is rosy at the moment and unless they bring out something that will blow the opposition out of the water they could well struggle to stay afloat....of course this is just my opinion but my gut tells me i am right.

Never had any issues with my original Garrett pinpointer, out every week and it still keeps going, when this one finally gives up the ghost i will certainly buy another new Garrett but saying that i do have a brand new XP mI-6 pinpointer which i have never used but have had it as a backup for nearly 12 months.
Not worried about the XP probe as i brought it half price bran new so could still sell it for much more than i paid for it,but have tried it out on my Deus and it does work well so will keep it.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Monte,he surely will be missed, have been a member of his forum for years.
R.I.P Monte.

I brought a IDX Pro about 6 years back, only used it a few times,i plan on doing the Mr Bill modifications, but never really got around to doing the mods....the GB modification is the one that i will probably do.

It sounds like it is a 'Sirius' piece of kit 🤣🤣🤣

For me i have 2 main types of detecting scenario's,if i am on say my own permissions i will keep plodding away with a detector in some cases my local ones they are still producing finds even after many years this could be due to me changing different coil and detector combinations, but while still produces finds i will still detect them,i start out with a small coil combination and then clear what i call the 1st layer and gradually increase coil size and start getting down to the real deep desirable stuff. But these sites are done methodically and slowly because i dont have a clock as such ticking away and i take my time.
The 2nd different approach is if i am on say someone else's permission,a club dig or even a rally, then i may only have one hit on that site of say 8-10 hours so then i use a medium size coil to try and cover the ground as quickly as possible within that days time frame, must admit its not my favourite scenario as i prefer to do the slow and methodically option.Of course this is only how i mainly detect here in the UK.

You know a device that detects more than 10m in depth
So what exactly are you looking for that is that deep ?? also what is your experience of using metal detectors for deep detecting and even if you could find something that goes that deep or even deeper how do you plan on digging down that far ??

Gut feeling tells me this is a massive Wind Up 🤣🤣🤣

Very similar detecting characteristics as the TDI Pro for sure,Fisher seem to be totally lost as a detector manufacturer these days, was only just a few year back one of the top brands but these days becoming a 'has been company' very quickly.
-
I would say that this hoard hunter wont ever appear either, the cost involved in producing them would be pretty high i would have thought,no major advantage over a normal twin box setup from say Fisher etc.

Lover that barrel tap, have found a few of those over the years, its personal choice if you wish to clean them or not i guess, they look great when they are done but its keeping them clean that is the time consuming part of it.
-
What other folks use is totally upto them detecting wise, for me i use my original green T2 in my opinion its still the king of my sites and my type of detecting,i certainly dont chase the latest greatest must have detectors,if a detector grabs my attention i wait a minimum of 12-18 months before i am sufficiently happy that they have ironed all the bugs out,my last newish detector i brought was the Equinox and i fell for the hype of it but if i am totally honest i hate using it,i do occasionally take it out every 3-4 months with the small coil on as i can see a need for it on certain sites.
My T2 still continues to pull out the goodies and has found me more gold hammered and milled gold coins than all my other machines put together and also silver hammered coins as well.....if it ain't broke dont try and fix it by thinking that the latest machines will find more,i will dtill continue finding some wonderful historic find here in the UK my 2006/7 trusty old T2.
Of course what works for me and my type of detecting may not work for anyone else. For me its all about getting out and enjoying detecting and if i find something that is a added bonus and i just dont have the time for detecting politics and trust me especially here in the UK detecting Politics is all around.

That detector was on my mates Kevin's website Staffordshire Metal Detectors recently, was very tempted myself but all ready have as brand new TDI Pro so no need for another one.
-
As you have both the Manticore and Deus11 up for sale or trade i would say it was neither of those machines,so possibly it was the T2 that was the deeper one out of the 3,of course this is just process of elimination lol.
-
This may seem to be a total shot in the dark here but as i use a T2 as my main machine thats running in AM mode could be the dark horse here.I am still blow away by how deep mine is and that is just a standard model and not one with the boost mode.....my vote which in theory goes against all the odds is the T2.

Arado 120b in the day they had been like a Equinox of today,i still own 2 very good conditions ones, albeit i dont tend to use them much these days as they are reasonably heavy but still very deep.

I dont have a pacemaker but from the replies back it looks to be totally safe, but your doctor i would have though would have been the final and authoritative person to ask for advice to be on the complete safe side.

Yes,the worse detector that i have ever owned and i fell for all the hype was the Troy X5 it was not cheap when i brought it brand new back in 2005/6 something like that but even after using it for 2 years and speaking with Troy across the pond it was a total piece of junk....sold it and regretted ever buying it for sure.
-
I have only ever sold one detector in all the decades that i have been detecting and that was the Troy X5 and 2 coils,i brought it brand new and used it for 2 years and had 100s of hours under my belt with it but it was the worse detector that i have ever purchased....luckily some one was looking for one and i could not sell it quick enough and only lost £25 into the bargain.....every other detector and coil that i have brought i still own and use.
-
I use one on my Whites TDI,its a Mono coil and as light as a feather....must admit i really do like using it originally designed for the GPX/GP and other allied models but works very well straight out of the box on a TDI Pro but if you do plan on using one on a TDI as the lugs are slightly wider you either need to pack out with washers or use a Minelab bottom rod....but this little 6'' Mono coil certainly gets my vote for sure.
-
Thats all i ever use on my Nox is the 6'' coil, never comes off the machine....never really got on with the Nox since i have owned it 3+ years so rather than sell it and loose money i mainly use the 6'' coil and also occasionally the 15x12 coil for ground coverage.....the stock coils just sits in a cupboard gathering dust.

I use nylon fishing line, its either 50 or 100lbs, with a button attached at each end of the line to make a loop. Then slip the velcrose through it and around the shaft and you have yourself a nice cheap reliable system. I have tested it on a number of occasions and it just hangs there....bit crude but works well.
That is the exact same setup that i use,and if you are into fishing it does not cost you anything.

That is a neat bit of kit, never seen one before but that off road ability looks amazing, well done on getting it all fixed and back on the road again.
