Today was another day. Tried higher sensitivity, not what I wanted so tried lower. Much better. Sensitivity at 1 worked better for what I was doing. I know how crazy that sounds, but it worked for me.

Hey, it's what works for you on where your hunting.     Find some settings that work, better write them down, if you forget, well it's usually Gone.      I copied a setting that was to help on finding micro gold.  Tried it on some beaches and around parks.     Result  =  Micro Alum.      We won't be finding much gold until all the skin in this country has been Inked up. Than they might start wearing Gold again.

  2. Look at all this stuff.      Reminds me of a bunch of guys at a Bar discussing what they would like to have with another wife.  Dream on.      I'll thought this one complaint out.    If your arm is getting tired, it's more than likely you need to pick a better place to hunt.    Better targets more digging.    I do notice tho when I'm in a sparse area, and my arm starts complaining,  I tend to dig more Iffy signals. Which sometimes result in a nice surprize but more often ,not.

A Tarsacci full comfortable' dual adjustable' waterproof headphone ( without using the pigtail } would have a lot of intrust I believe.    I'd get one right now.    This might help with some having tone problems.

The bouncing target numbers , take a little getting used to.      But this machines ability for guys like me to easily quiet it down in salt water or emi areas with depth is huge.

I'm not gonna knock the computer update ideas.   But theres enough to master on this machine without worrying about how a saddlelight signal will help me find a Gold Honker.    Tell you what some of you guys are going to see in the future.  A waterproof cell phone that snaps on a shaft that can deliver all the target info along with keeping you up on your Tweeter account.       Now don't take me wrong on all of the above, just poking some fun on some things.

  3. Theres a lot of them out there.  Different manufacturers have at least one Gold machine.    A new analog machine recently debuted.  So , I'm thinking some are buying these to use on the Beach and Park hunting.    All these machines can't just be hunted in and around the Old Gold fields, can they?      So I would think that these machines used in our parks and are set go find small gold would become Overwhelmed with all the small pieces of Aluminum.  And such.     I got a couple sensitive machines (vlf) that in order to hunt I got to discriminate these pieces out.   So what I'm trying to ask is,     why buy them for Park and Beach hunting ?

When it alludes to "small plastic articles" (that it aims to pick up), I was initially skeptical.   Thinking that they meant plastic bottles , etc....   But was surprised that the video does indeed show coin/ring sized objects.   Eg.: cigarette butts, etc...

Because with all the decades of beach cleaner machines that are already being made, they are only for bigger items.  Eg.:  McDonalds bags, cans/bottles, etc....   There is a singular particular mechanical beach cleaner machine, with sifter screens that can be adjusted small enough to snare down to coin-sized items . At the operator's settings in the cab.  But to do so means they cover much less space in a day.  Because it slows down the machine much more, puts a big drag on the engine, etc...   So even the rare cities with those machines rarely put it in that setting/mode.

The reason why today's beach cleaner machines don't pick up coin-sized items, is that it would mean that the machine starts picking up pebbles, leaves, seashells, matted clumps of sand, etc......   Stuff they DON'T need to pick up.    Therefore the beach cleaner machines are never a threat to our hobby.

But I see that this one, in your link boasts ability to get down to "micro" trash.   I don't see how any municipality anywhere is ever going to adopt this.   Because there is just so-much-more bigger fish to fry on the beach, than "micro-plastics".   And the time/energy/cost to go after "micro" just doesn't seem to be high on any city's financial radar right now.

    Interesting link though !

Good write up Tom, brings to light a lot of things I didn't know about how the (Sand Scratchers) work.

  5. You did the right thing in that case TVR.    Couple years ago, dug a Honker of a Class Ring.    10K       Guy had his name etched inside    (sort of a downer)   Anyway ,knew someone who knew the guy. Turns out it was lost 40 years.    His happyness  was rolling off of him.   It was a good feeling.

  6. For years when ever I brought back a Earing I've found , my wife always asks " Where's the other one?".        Well about 5 years ago detecting on  a Delaware beach heading for quitting time.   Got this really nice hit.    Couldn't believe it. A set of intertwined Silver earings. So told my wife ( waiting on the Boardwalk ) "Hey, I got ya a nice earing".        Where's the other one, she asks?    Not so fast, my Queen!   Picture tells the rest of the story.

I used my AT Max this past weekend for the first time in a while. Hunted with my daughter at an old ballfield. Found 16 Memorial Cents & a key. She found a few coins also with the Anfibio Multi. A simple & fun hunt together.

You just never know what your gonna find in them sports fields.  That day you and your daughter found some memories.

Having the necessary tech at his disposal and a electronics background, “Mr X” provided the exact frequency’s he needed to accommodate his hearing issues.

Mr X, explained it to me like this….”When you have hearing damage, it’s the higher range frequencies that are impaired, and hard to differentiate”

Therefore, as seen in my video…. what ((was)) the high tone is now the mid-tone.

What was the mid-tone, is now the low-tone.

And what was the low tone (iron)……is now lower.

Well Aaron that clears up a lot.       Don't want to be a pest, but this machine was it a new one or one sent back to be adapted?       These Techies can sure swing some stuff.

    Dancer,

I don't know the whole story, but I sure do wish I had those tones, that's all I know!

    Steve

Yep,  once like when people know there's a option such as tones, a reworked battery compartment, coils ect.   There's a (Why not me). Swell.  As for the arm cuff strap, well yes it should have come with the unit.  But looking around the house, I spotted a webed strap off a marine battery box.  Cut to length it's purr fect.

Course at best a lot of these options would involve shipping back and forth.   OR is Tarsacci working up to a Tarsacci II       I don't want to Jinx myself but after 5 months over 2 seasons of a ton of salt water/sand hunting.  Not to mention hours of mud hunting .The Tar has delivered everything as advertised.    Combined target id, Quiet capability in salt, emi conditions and all the depth I can stand.

  10. Wonder how Dimitar got the new tones so right?  In order to adjust the tones this way   I would think he had to have more information than someone calling up and explaning they  have a hearing problem .    I mean what if the new tones didn't help the person ?    That would be a lot of work to go down a dead end.     I can't imagine myself calling Dimitar up and asking him to modify his tones to suit my hearing.    And than opening a basket of worms causing a demand for new tones.  Oh, I know I gotta be missing something here.

  11. So I'm not sure if, it's My hearing but I couldn't get anything  from the Video  that would make me feel the need to retool.  Perhaps a longer video sample would change my mine.      The biggest gripe I have with the Tarsacci is my inability to put it's coil  on more good stuff.     Course, that's exactly the problem with my other detectors.    Joking of course.      I will say this the Tarsacci in its best environment for me (salt water, sand) is my go to machine, bar none.

  12. Last week Vista X sniffed this Silver Pendant out from a sea of pennies, clad coins and Alum crap.   Good clad take that day but the Pendant was the Prize.        Today the ATPro caught a Lay-Up.    Eyeballed this really nice mens bracelet on a bank overlooking a basketball court.    Looked it up, $33 over the counter.     Everything in these areas are shallow or On Da Topp.
