  1. After quite a few hunts I'm finding that with the standard coil the Tarsacci is very good working the surf.  Coil cuts the water nice and the machine handles the salt very well. Haven't done much wading because of the waves, and what holes we have are very sanded.    The headphones, seem to be working well, cause it's noisy hunting the surf and my 72 year old ears are picking up the faint signals.  Faint signals for me. No gold yet but a junk ring, heavy stainless bracelet, two Silver rings & a Silver Belly ring.      Be heading home off the beach end of February.   Putting it into the dirt.

  2. Nice informative video's Aaron.     Sure when the thaw comes will see some more results.  Lots of hunters waiting on this coil.     One thing for sure, guys will pay plenty for a extra eighth to quarter inch of depth.  So why use a coil cover?    The weight isn't much but over a long hunt, well it could add up.

  3. In normal times this beach is a good one.   Was able to bypass most of the caps with the Tarascci.   The deeper ones had to dig some.   Anyway the Stainless bracelet hit a solid +05.    Foil area.      Ring turned out Gold plated silver, steady +10.    Eleven coins for 32 cents.  A three hour hunt.  Jeweler said ring would run around $300 new.  Just scrap Silver now.   Machine grows on you.

  4. On tip from my Xcal buddy, beat it up the shore to catch one just right.     Using advice from this forum and another Tarasccii forum hunted in all metal.  Actually best mode for sanded in beaches I found. Just before hunting the cut ,on the beach entry path.    Dug a good signal (house key)    About 10 yards later got a nice sounding target. Not all that deep. I'd guess 4 to 5 inchs.   Took me four scoops cause kept slipping threw my scoop.       I thought it was a junker but turned out 925 with Zirkcon stone.        While working the cut didn't have time to check AL with Disc. Relied on tones and numbers. Surf getting rough. This is a very good machine picking up that Stud in the middle of no where.      Pic of what I was running.       And no I ain't getting my ear pierced.

Thanks!  I took my friends Tarascci out yesterday for the first time. I too liked the mixed mode better. I have LOTS of targets here so all metal can be a pain.

Tomorrow, I will give AM a little more go, but I would like to know what you think too. A member here has help me get a good base!

Used AM today.   It actually was better for me in the water.   Someone tipped that when you get a target, switch mode to Disc.   Worked for me. No leaks either.   Lots of sand so hunting can get hard.

You get in the oatmeal and you could leave a target for sure lol.   I dont leave many..... but i have been straddle a few holes where i went from chest to chin deep out there....... with that target still in the middle of the hole.  I almost left a heavy gold ring like that the first time it happened.... but th tone was just to good.  Good luck with the machine.  Are you up by St Pete?  If so Cliff and Todd are both up your way and have had the MDT for some time.

I use a nylon sticker over my speaker.  But I’ve dont that for years even with dirt machines.  I use a small parts cleaning brush on those O rings and threads.  I also take the O rings off occasionally and run them under hot water brings um back to normal stickiness.  I’m not a fan of the solid ping and pongs so I use AM -31 to hear iron.  I’ve straddled several holes digging gold rings.  The machine is just unique enough and simple enough that’s it’s hard to put down.

Dew, I'm going to give that AM a try today.    Yesterday I dug a quarter at the wave break In Mix.  If I'd been waist deep, I'm not sure I would have got it.

Nice report.  What is the machine you normally use? Just curious.  I really like the tarsacci and I'm finding myself digging deep on targets also.  Can't wait til the 12" coil is released.  I really like the all metal and mixed modes the most.  But disc mode is good enough that I'd use it on days where targets are overwhelming.

The Tarascci replaced my AT Pro.   The Infinium is my main wading machine right now.   That red is a thin strip of tape I wrapp the cap with. Gotta help with water and sand.   Might not be needed, but can't hurt.  I also taped over the speaker. Same reason.    Good eye on that tracker

  9. Third Tarascci hunt. First two cut short by bad conditions.  On the Florida Gulf ,caught a low tide at a nice wash.below a old deep cut.  Got to say that hunting conditions have. been lousy most of the month.   Hey I got lucky betting on this area, and having enough targets to learn this machine.   Tried a couple modes, but kept coming back to Mix, it's the one for me.    I like the way it sounds on iron.     Between target Id & tones, I was able to keep the beer cap digging down.  Same thing on calling a crusty penny before digging.  Quarter's an nickels were scarce.    Now I got to relay this. Out of 10 dimes dug at least 5 were the deepest I've ever dug. I could say how deep I think, but there's no way to be sure in wet sand.   The Tarascci is a keeper for me.     No gold or silver but guy & machine had a good day.

  10. My 10 year old At getting some extra time while my Infinium is getting overhauled.  Found a brackish water small beach, tide just heading in slow.  Polluted with tabs and had been hunted recently.    Pretty quiet till I struck a small area with a nice spill of coins. So about $2.90 and no bling.    Doesn't sound like much but a bonanza after hunting in deeply sanded beaches.    Great day too.

The tarsacci seems to be built like a tank.  Light weight and easy to swing buy solid.  I don't see any concerns as the way it's built now.  My machine has no speaker and the battery cap has plenty of threads with almost no way of stripping them with 2 O-rings .  Plus they said if anyone leaves battery cap loose and salt water gets inside, just rinse out with fresh water and some alcohol and let dry.

Thats a very good to know.      Quite a load off my mine, Basstrackerman  !

Steve..... ive not seen this machine or even heard of it as a second choice.  Good ideas, but if Dimitar made that hes not saying anything.  This almost seems like someone is trying to copy and sell another version.   There are a few areas needing sealed..... the wire coming in from the thru the lower handle from the battery box..... the front has two prongs that holds it on to the shaft, the speaker as mentioned, and i like that cap.

Carolina.... when did you talk to Tom?   He and Dimitar were testing the 12" coil few weeks ago in the Miami area.   They are waiting on a mold is what ive been told.

As a serious prospect these issues being discussed are very concerning.  ( Batt. caps, wires needing improved, 90 deg ph jacks, extra o-rings are some) Anything pertaining to water integerty is especially importent.    so my question is, if I ordered a Tarascci today would these matters be addressed ?    I will say the 2 water machines I own , both have plastic threads with a o-ring. only one failure and I think it was my fault.    That being said in 11 yrs theres, never had a coil or headphone breach. Im really hoping to put this machine to use on land and salt water .  But, I'll be up front I'm no engineer.
