Today the Pro had a lay-up.     Laying On Da Topp, a darn nice mens bracelet for the pickens.    Happens sometimes. Looked it up, $33 over the counter.    Plus $3.33 in Clad.  I was lucky, this park has a lot of dead ground.

whoo,    Im missing something here.    What new tones?     Can anyone explain what this is about?    Is it some kind of update or a little trickery of enhancement.      I the dark.

Yep, the AT Pro is a Dandy in fresh and most brackish waters. I hunt two other machines and the Pro still holds it's place in the lineup.

I sorta gave up on this park couple years ago. It used to be a Clad Basket, than really started to go down hill.   Finished up a site early today and had some time left so slipped in to see what's up.    Started at the outdoor basketball court and never left.   Coin after coin, so many started Cherry picking.    I had the Pro fitted with the 8x5 and it really picked threw the trash.   Was hoping for maybe a ring in there but not today.   For the day $11.15 for 93 coins.   That ole machine should have been smoking.   As for me, wife had a dandy meal made, couple of pain pills, and 2 fingers of Rum.  I'm out of here.

See that's the problem. Couple of us can fine no way to contact John.    It's a puzzle to me that my old ( non detecting) headphones work fine but other than that.   There doesn't seem to be anything that works.   Gonna have to dig deeper, I guess.

So I have tried two different detector headphones  (Dector Pro & Patriot) both very good brands.    That fit into the Tarsacci pigtail.   No or very distant sound.     I have 2 crummy sets of headphones for videos on some laptops.   Both work fine with the pigtail.     So sent away for a better pair of these (Phillips) very confortable and work great.   So has anyone found a good detector headphone thats off the shelf , fits the pigtail and doesn't need adapting ?

I mean Wow, that baby puts some heft in the purse !

Yep, what used to be my #1 water machine for 10 years can't get off the bench.

8 years since I've recovered a cremation disk from the Gulf.    Scooped my second this year yesterday. And my pal got one a week ago. That's 3 in about a month.    What's a little strange yesterday, as I was taking it out of my scoop it slipped or leaped from my fingers. Good enough, that's where I left it.    Oh, and all the others were left out there too.     They are a shiny stainless, about the size of a fifty cent piece.   Numbers and a address stamped on it.

Gulf settled, partly cloudy. Slipped  into a slot between shore and sand bar.   Everything was about waist deep along shore nice hunting.   Some  junk , nice , looks to be stainless ring.  40 coins for $4.02.    10 of them nickels.   Hunted 4 hrs. In AM.

No gold but the most fun I've had this yr.   One thing I can get well over 12 hrs on a battery charge but to be safe I switch them after 3 bars are used.

Kaolin,  never hunted black sand that I know of.  Have not met anyone with a Deus II or even a Deus.     

One thing about finding Gold rings in parks.       There isn't a place you can rule out.     I have or some I know have found Gold under picnic tables, around pavilions , infields/outfields, swings, tot lots you name it. Heck my wife found a thin one in a parking lot tar.      Once I had to move to a area I didn't want to hunt because they were mowing the field.    First hit, yep Gold band.      Figure that.       I never found a Gold ring laying on my couch.     But it's been done somewhere.

 3 hunters own 4 of this biggest seller.  We all have older back ups.     Sometimes If one of us comes up with a feint signal, we'll call the nearest over to see what they think.    Early on they rarely could hear my target.     I hunt in AM,  they were in disc.     After switching to AM they all could hear something.  None of the machines vdi's  could lock on the deep target.    But even in AM , there was enough there for me to at least take a scoop to see.      Most of the time the target ends up being a deep corroded penny, sometimes a dime. And sometimes junk. Says something for hunting in AM when you can. Couple times , unrecovered due to waves.         The most successful of the four hunters are the two youngest.   Their tough being in 50's and 60's.      They can hunt deeper and much longer.  Me and another are in our early 70's and it's 4 hrs tops.         The youngest who owns two of the big sellers had both of them flood out and had to be repaired.           We all have scored on Gold but the two youngers finding the most.     So us oldtimers just gotta get that coil over the target.

Smart hunting. musta felt good.     I'm gonna have to try that 18KZ more othen.

After weeks of heavily sanded in beaches , cold weather, rough water , everything turned around for a few days. 3 of us hunting together or more often apart, each have scored a gold ring, coins and junk jewelry.    Of course the targets sing out when a patch of hard pack is exposed.   But the back breaker is when you hear a whisper of a signal in soft sand. Numbers jumping around in the plus side. Today I had 5 such signals.   So your fighting swells, target buried three scoops, holes filling in.  It can be a work out. So out of these 5 killers, 2 quarters, 2 pennies and 1 disgusting rusty crown cap.    Right now I'm sticking with the Standard coi!.     Just handles better in swirling water, and I believe pinpoints a tad better.   As far as depth , it got all I can stand.    Now of course conditions change everyday, causing coil changes, settings, where to hunt.     So I remember always feeling I'm being out gunned, not anymore.

Stalker, right now the sands in but there are a few holes out waist deep or more.   And even with our 3 millimeter wet suits it can be brutal. Cold.   So the gulf is flat but the temps are in the high 30's to lower 40's. Winds from the North. Sloped Sandy wet shoulders.      When the Gulf picks up depending, we'll get some erosion here and there. With winds from the South, temps can get mid 60's to lower 70's.  Wet sand hunting picks up some and wading (if not too rough).  Every day can be very different.    A challenge. But were hunting.

The Gulf settled down after abt a good 3 day blow. Sure enough 3 of us waded out to a to a good ole hole Neptune reopened.  North winds beating the Gulf calm.  ...So we all scored a nice take of Clad and 1 of us snagged a 2021 graduation 10K ring. Good as new.    Tried it again this morning.  .I didn't last 45 minutes.     Water about 60 and wind chill 32, that and no targets , I bailed.     To hunt another day. This is my Tarsacci's 2nd season wading and wet surf hunting.   With out any problems . The Vessel in the picture is the Terrapin Island about 6,000 tons dry. Hauling another load of sand for  replenishing.   Makes about 3 round trips a day.

Well the Infinum as you might know can be belt mounted. Making it very light. Also learning the tones helps eliminate digging a lot of trash.  It also is very stable in salt water. Follow the manual or download one online.

After hunting out my trashy sites I stayed with the standard while back to hunting wet surf / wading.   Crazy but I can find very little difference in depth.  And the standard handles better in ruffer water (smaller profile). In salt water conditions the Tarsacci is as good as the competition with depth and quietness.    As with any machine the better you know it the better the results.

Shoot Stalker that Tarsacci giving you what you want from a machine?    Real interesting finds, like the Viking.

On a beach sanded in due to replenishing.    Mixed in with shells , bits of alum. Tabs etc.    Banged in at a solid +06.    Unmarked, stamped with Purdia on the inside.     Shiny gold but slightly scored (maybe by being run threw the shell shaker).    Anyway yellow underneath the gores.  I'll have it tested when I get home in March.    Maybe someone else found a ring by this company and can shed some light.  Found on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

 Both coils have about the same depth and target separation.    But of course in really trashy areas, I would give the nod to the standard.    The standard is what I use around picnic pavilions, grassy parking lots.  These places can get bad. The Tarsacci has those 3 modes to switch threw if needed.  With a little experience if you get in a area that it gets gets chatty, it's very easily tamed.      The standard is more oblong than the 12" so I would go with that. You guys know what you have to fight threw, I believe the standard is what you want.    But now if you get out where there's a little room, of course the 12" gives you ground coverage along with good separation.    In the end it's The Site, then the operator, then the machine/ coil.    I hope in some way I helped out.

Like the Stalker, I can attest to the Tarssacci' ability on Micro targets on the beaches.   Also I've, like many beach hunters have dug some eye popping holes in the surf as well as wading.  I'm hunting with 3 other guys who have different machines.  Last year my trusty Infinum needed a complete overhaul after 10 yrs.    A friend recently had his 20 yr. Excal in the shop.   Last week another friends Nox 800 flooded.   2 AT Pros and a Dualfield also been worked on.   Beach hunting is hard on machines. And machines that can handle salt, waves ect. quietly with depth are a Treasure.   The Tar is a good fit for me home in the mud and away on the beaches.    In the end for success it's  The Site, the Hunter, than a well maintained,rugged machine the hunter knows inside and out.

I took the liberty of cleaning up the thread, hope nobody gets bothered over it. Added clarification and a forum link in Chuck’s original post, but the link is still dead. If he is using a third party forum supplier, it could be them, not him, but that does not explain all the videos being gone. That took conscious action on Aaron’s part.

Levity also might come back to bite - just saying. I hope he is just off on an extended vacation, but I don’t like the feel of this. If anyone has a way to confirm he is ok, please let us know. But also remember people deserve privacy. We don’t need to know stories. Aaron can tell those if he wishes. I just would like to know he is ok.

A most level headed solution to this situation.
