  1. Thanks for that information, I thought the more you charged and discharged the less time a battery would last.
  2. I normally don't hunt for more than 4 hours but I know the land will soon be tilled and wanted to cover as much of it as possible before that happen. I agree, a second coil is a must for me.
  3. Thank you. No, still haven't received the 9 inch machine.
  4. The pitch sounds fine on the deeper coins but I can't get the iron tones out of the deeper coins when in 5 tones even when there is no iron.
  5. It will hit low conductors too but the tone isn't very pleasant if they are deep.
  6. The manual does say 8 hours coil life when in DHC. It's the program I have the most confidence in at this time.
  7. These were from a farm field and yes it looks like they were dropped in very good condition. Top left coin is a cut half reale. Top right looks to be a cut half reale that has fire damage. I'm probably through at this spot for now because the farmer has started disking the fields.
  8. I hunted hard Saturday. I was in a modified Deep High Conductor program most of the time. The coil battery indicator on the remote control started flashing empty after 7 hours and 40 minutes. It didn't die on me but I was tired so it flashing empty was a good reason to stop. All finds are from Saturday except the seated which I found today. I'm not used to finds like these, I just got lucky and got permission to a good spot.
  9. Nice finds, I've never found a Trime.
  10. Not really what you are asking about but when you turn 90 degrees and it turns to an iron tone it could still be a nonferrous target. All of the 11in coins in my test garden turn to an iron tone at 90 degrees. Not as much in Deep HC program but it's still there unless you swing just right on the dime.
  11. Nice finds. Park and Deep HC are really close in depth if you open them up. But Deep HC is more stable. This is the way it is for me anyway. I dug a measured 13 inch case shot today using Deep HC. I tried hunting in Park but there was too much chatter. I was hunting with two other friends. I will try it again when hunting alone away from EMI because I believe it is slightly deeper, when tweaked correctly.
  12. I did hunt it with the Equinox about a year ago but can't say that the Deus II outperforms the equinox. I can say for sure that the target ID in Deep HC on deep coins is more accurate in my test garden. I dug a lot of iron but most of it I was expecting to be iron. I have a short time frame to hunt this site and I don't want to leave any nice coins so the Deep HC is what I will be using but I will put the Silencer back to 2 instead of 0 that I used for this hunt. Most other programs on the Deus II gave a much lower ID on the deeper targets in my test garden.
  13. Used Deep HC which I tweaked a little. In my testing this program gives the most accurate ID on the deeper coins. The KG was at a solid 11 inches, the Reale was only about 7 inches. I used a Silencer of 0, I think I will use a Silencer of 2 on the next hunt.
  14. I just saw Calabash rebuttal. He said he could hear the Deus II sounding off on the targets. So I watched the video again and turned the volume way up on my TV. The Deus was slamming the broken ring. I have really bad hearing but I could hear that. I wonder what his volume was set at? I think I heard the open hoop also.
  15. I just watched a video on the WS6 by Gary Blackwell. It looks to me like the WS6 can do pretty much anything the RC can do, including saving custom programs. I'm new to the Deus, haven't even received my Deus II yet. Did I miss something or does the WS6 have all of the same controls as the RC? Thanks
  16. I did have a dealer tell me today that they were getting a shipment in this week but my dealer said he hasn't heard any news. Are you saying shipping from France or from the distributors?
  17. Thank you. There's no backmark that I can see. It just a small flat button. I'm in easter NC.
  18. I haven't been detecting in a while and just had to get out today. I went to a site I've hunted several times before where I normally find a few shell fragments and case-shot. I have found a few minie balls there before but they are rare, I've found maybe 6 in 4 years there. This Garden made my day. It was about 10 to 11 inches deep and sounded pretty good on my equinox. Had to dig a lot of trash but I needed the exercise.
  19. They are aftermarket posted on a large auction site. Well known maker of detector covers. XP Deus 2, ll Screen and Touchpad Protector, Cover USA Made
  20. Just letting everyone know that the control cover for the Deus II is available on line. They were just posted today.
