I have a working screamer, 7.4 volt Li-on Kastar , 8700mAh battery and amplifier off of a GP Extreme detector, using the 4 pin configuration. How long this battery power the 

gpx5000 detector and can I change the plug to a 5 pin configuration and use it on the gpx5000  ?

What problems would I run into.?  I would follow the GP 5 pin printout for proper wiring.  As I read it, the pin 5 is not used, pin 1 is +, pin 4 is -, pins 2 and 3 are audio.

Thoughts ?

I got answer to this 4 to 5 pin adaptor.

Only works with the amplifier only,

using with the battery and regulator DO NOT  try it as it can damage the detector. No explanation why it can damage the detector.
