well ive finally figured out actually told buy ml....when you get your new detector DO NOT imidiatly put the batterys on charge install and use the detector untill batterys are completely drained then charge it should take aprx 8 hrs while charging green lights will flash green and go solid when charged...if you imidiatly charge the charging light will never stop flashing but batts will still charge

ya know ive only owned 3 pinpointers in my life until yesterday i had no idea pinpointers had discrimination...re tunning etc the first pinpointer i used was a nokta the grey one with orange cap the nokta i paid 99.00 mid last year then i bought vevor of e bay for 25.00 with free shipping...still have it...recently i paid 149.00 for a red pro find 40 or should i say wasted cause some minelabfreaker posted on another forum it woul pick up a penny at 6 inches.what a line of minelab bs....i just got done watching 2 you tube vidios of the carrot and the 40 theres no difference in either in depth on all targets but my 25.00 vevor off ebay has about a full inch better detection on all coins then the garret or minelab ...go figure...lo lol lol...why does a pin pointer need to discriminate isnt your big fancy high tech 1500.00 minelab suppose to do that tell ya junk or not before ya even dig....re tune not sure what hype thats all about....beeps if ya leave it around...thats what a lanyards for....and i read this 40 detects deeper then the 35...lol.lol the nokta is about equal to carrot and 40.....my 25.00 vevor beats the carrot and 40 hands down 1 button on off volume....

save your money get a nokta goldfinder 2000 blows the gold monster away and any other vlf gold detector thats my advice unless youve already been brainwashed by minelab

i may have got a bad one this is only the second pinpointer ive used i know nothing techy about pinpointers didnt know they were my first was the nokta would pick up a quarter about 4-5 inches air test....this new 40 i got pick up a quarter about 2 inches,,,maybe i better read the instructions i had no idea a pinpointer had settings other then on off and sensitivity

i just bought one ide tell ya what i think but i dont wana get kicked off the forum other then to save your money and buy a 100.00 nokta

i know this detector is turn on and go i find very little searching the net about this detector....except for the bad chargers or the ground ballance glitch ...so heres my few questions how would i tell if my detector has the glitch when searching in all metal horseshoe button does it mater what program iam in any info thanks

get a vanquish 340 only 200.00 super easy detector finds good stuff and wont break the bank

i got a feeling a new update is right around the corner GROUND BALLANCE tracking using the pin-point buttom to activate and a new 5 in round coil

this is old news from when thisa detector came out....as you may have read or figured out the charger that came in the pro pack 540 is faulty but works ..you must completly charge and completly discharge the batterys 4 -5 times pretty much back to back.break in to get full power out of the batterys...the white minelab charger will not shut off the green lights will never stop blinking it takes about 8-9 hrs to charge you must keep track of the time....or buy a way better charger and batterys..eneloop is what ive read on many sites to be the best

if you use lion batterys beware your battery display will not be accurate as well as low battery warning same with rnb setup

for many years ive spent 1000,s upon thousands on high end minelabs never could figure out the detetors and never found anything but worthless junk its been a year or so now since i bought the 540 advantage pro pack turn on and go found many silver coins and a 25.000.00 gold and diamond ring more then paid for all my past minelabs both coin and gold detetors...why buy a maticore equinox or any other high end detector for 1000.s when you can buy this for 400.00 WAY TO GO MINELAB
