  1. Few things tonight. I just wanted to add that this yard had been hunted numerous times. I felt pretty good finding what I did. There were four guys there and only one other wheatie was found with no relics to speak of.
  2. Took a little time off (family time?). Couple wheaties, 17 merc, 19 buffalo, eagle button along with...I think the wheel off an old metal car and a two hole button.
  3. The only time anything changes is when you shut it off when it's in the user profile. Then whatever mode you had your user profile set from the user profile settings will become that modes settings. Turning it of in any other mode will not change anything, you'll retain all the settings including your user profile. The simple solution. Don't shut off your machine while it's still in the user profile mode.
  4. I have noticed that if you shut down your unit in the user profile mode it will change the standard mode to the user profile settings. Just set a mode and save it as your user profile. Go back to that mode and set it like you want it. Go hunt, switch to your user profile and hunt then shut down while still in your user profile setting. I think you'll find the mode you had set earlier has now changed to the user profile settings....I guess no big deal but it did have me a little confused at first.
  5. I'll check when I get home on the wheaties. We were pretty stoked in that yard my buddy had a bread token and we were just thinking about the possibilities. Then we were asked to leave by the fellas wife. Lol
  6. Only got out for about thirty min. the yard was looking good till the guys wife came out and ran us off. But it turned out ok. It was then we found out his 800 was in so we went and picked it up.
  7. It's an officer staff button. 1875-1902. I just got the front half.

  9. These are some more of the 800's finds. The ring is a 1935 Babe Ruth premium baseball ring from Quaker Oats.
  10. Wayfarer, I really enjoyed reading your review. I`ve had mine for two weeks now and think you were spot on with what I can relate to about the Equinox. I don`t have a knowledge base to compare it to other machines. But, when I read your evaluation I thought he`s right about that and another he`s right about that too. I know two people don`t make a consensus but it made me feel good to hear someone with the same thoughts I was thinking. For me the Equinox will be my #1. I`ve really enjoyed using it!!
  11. Thanks! The spoon may be silver plated. I really liked the pin too. The group started in 1915 and the pin was from 1919/20.

  13. Thanks Steve! I see you and Dan doing quite well too!
  14. Looking for the club token today and this barber dime showed up. It was pretty deep but no problem. I continue to be impressed with the Equinox!
  15. Took noxy for another stroll today. She got me four more firsts for her. Merc, barber, Indian and tootsie car. It's really fun to hunt with!!
  16. The stock coil seems to work quite well. I may hold out till they make a football shaped one?...I hope.
  17. First silver with the nox. also got two wheaties. Hunted for two hours, 5 nickels, 2 wheaties, 1 -1940 Canadian penny(I thought the nox had its first Indian) rest clad and coppers/ zincs. I'm really liking this machine!!
  18. Ok, here's the so far... lol. I took it to the most trashy place I know first thing. YIKES!! Running park1. Targets everywhere it sounded like the tests they do with the coin, nail, coin, nail ect. then out pops a 25 signal, it was a clad dime. Then a couple zinc's (21). Couple aluminum screw caps (19/20). Then a Couple more zincs and I was satisfied it would do fine seperating trash from good targets so I headed to a less noisy area. Sorry, I didn't stay there and keep looking for silver. I was digging a lot of signals and soon found that bottle caps were easy to distinguish. I started calling what I thought the target was... it didn't take long to figure out a bottle cap. After a little more time on it I think that's due mainly to the iron bias. In park2 with 0 iron bias they sound more like a good signal. I'm certainly no expert and have learned a lot reading different posts. But as of right now if I could do it over I'd buy it again in a heart beat. Every time out I learn a little more and it justs gets better. Good luck with yours!!
