That multi-pin connector supports bone phones which has a connector that is keyed to the bone phone pins on the remote connector
The only way I can connect my headphones is in bone phone mode. Volume at 3. Anything else would blow my ears off. My tones are all different by what I select. But I will compare with the speaker when I get back on the machine.

What pins are you calling bone phones as it is not possible to have PWM with the bone phone connection ? It will be either 1 & 2 or 4 & 5. Which two are you on ?
Thanks
I did not wire it. Tony Eisenhower did.

Confused. I thought if you wired the phones to the bone phone pins then that locks the remote into Square.
I am on the bone phone connection. However, there is 3 distinct different tones when the machine is in Pitch, Square and PWM. I never really compared it to the speaker, but I can next time!

Another issue my friend has is, he has a set of black widow phones for the Deus, from detector pro. He swears that with version .71 they would work with both PWM and square tones but now with version 1.0, he only has square and is not able to use PWM or high square. Anyone out there got a set of these phones?
I do and the PWM and Square tones would work in the old software. How are his wired? My are wired to the bone phones output.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts about the "upgraded" shaft/rod system on the Manticore.
Was solid at the beach!

Great hunt!!!! Glad it seems to clean up some of those iron targets.

OMG, this is going to be even better than I could have hoped
It does give the appearance that the issues I have with Iron wrap and choppy signals at depth might be better. However, it will be 6-7 months till I am back on that D2.
I have to see what other moderate black sand beach hunters think.

Not out of the question, but you are probably better off just purchasing a Nordic nrf5340 Dev Kit for about 50 bucks (Google it) then adding power, headphone jack and charge input, then fashioning a purpose built homebrew case for that, rather than cannibalizing your $150 Headphones and hoping the electronics/power/battery fit and can be wired up to the WM-08 jack similar to the Wi-Stream board. But that's just me.
Ya, those ole corded headphones look better and better every day!

100+ year old 14k ring dug in a field was a 79.

I don't know. There are other hunters that have experienced numbers of all kinds with gold and the Deus2. I have not acid tested it but it looks real to me. Probably the added silver to make white gold?
What is 10k white gold mixed with?White gold is generally alloyed with silver and/or palladium. A common composition for 10 karat white gold is 41.7 percent gold, 47.4 percent silver, 10 percent palladium, and 0.9 percent zinc.Dec 6, 2022 -

I also checked it with my Nox 800 when I got home, and it IDs as 20.
Wait till you buy a Deus2 and a big white gold 10K chunk rings in at 98.

Live thresholds can boost actual target signal intensity and audio volume especially on borderline targets
YET>>>there are new machines produced today that cannot do this.

First off I have watched several youtube explanations of threshold. I think as a noob, I am missing something.
Second off>>
Not all thresholds are created equal. Not many machines work like a Sovereign GT.
It will take some experimentation regardless of the machine! -

They don't own themselves ...they owe us, the ones that have waited this long and still hang on. The ones who bought Limited AQ's in hope of helping make a machine that would become a game changer.
I remember when the designer of this machine was touting it on the forums. He CLEARLY stated that he had two advanced platforms above what the first Impulse was to be.
Anything other than an entire new platform will be a disaster.
I suspect this is already a disaster.

This is a 10K with lots of little diamonds. It weighs 7.8 grams. My first gold ring in quite a while and first one with the 11" in even longer.
Nice HONKER!!!
Question> Equinox correct? Can you not tell those stakes are ferrous?

For me, speculating about what is causing this wider target ID spread on smaller US coins and multiple coil responses on coins and regularly shaped targets even at 4" depth is out of my league.
Thinking>>> Maybe in this digital age the MFG's should give us downloadable scale options? Pick 50 or 100 scale!
Can not be that hard to program?
The Deus 2 100 scale does not impress me.

it seems, and feed back would be great...
Does not matter what type of ground or water I am standing on.
NEVER going to pump my coil to tell me what is in the ground.

hi there I'm just wondering if anyone is using the coiltek 15" with the equinox 900 .I've been using it every now and then but I'm still not convinced with the coil .the main trouble is it can be a bit noisey even with the sensitivity turned down to 17 .i have tried some settings that ive found on line but always end up going back to my stock 11 " coil which is alot more settled .any advice guys .thanks .
Larger coils are more sensitive to EMI and mineralization. In my experience I have to run a point or two less sensitivity as compared to a smaller coil.
To see if it is EMI keep your coil several feet off the ground and see if it is still noisy. If not, then minerals are the problem.
Experiment with different IB and recovery speeds. Also try different detection modes. A recovery and Iron Bias of 6 each might get you some more sensitivity.

I bought the heavier duty all stainless as the lightweight ones can bend too
Looks like a nice scoop!
But, a scoop at 5" requires good pinpointing, especially in the wave wash. I know this would be too small for me. -

From what I've read, the bonephone outputs are louder through regular headphones, but tou can only use square tones on that.
Humm. I am wired with headphones through the bonephone connection. Thought I have tone differences between PWM and Full Tones????
But I am running speakers......not piezo speakers.

I bet a 10x5" coil would be great in the water (as long as it's waterproof, of course)! 😏
Yes, it would be. If one puts a tape measure to the 9" Deus2 coil it actually reads more like 8 3/4. Even though it is a DD coil it still loses a little coverage at depth. A 10X5 coil would be more forgiving on coverage!

The Bh-01 headset to which an earpiece had exploded was barely able to transfer sound even at volume 9.
I would not mess around with the cheap Bones Phones. I would get a pair of Tony Eisenhower waterproof diving headphones. Contact here: tony@idigbeaches.com

Is carbon fiber better? Any recommendations on where to get one?
Carbon fiber is just about indestructible and zero flex. Steve now has a replacement.
http://www.stevesdetectorrods.com/list.php?Brand=1BEFORE Steve had the replacement made, he helped me put together a shaft with my own custom mount that I built!
