  1. Hello Josh, welcome aboard.

May be I'm not that help that you need, in lack of using a Eagle Spectrum, but I'll try to do my best.

The manual shows the rejection in C&J is will filter out many good items, as the most other preset programs will do. A good start is the relic program. This will be noisy, but you'll do a lot of digging I think. If you're doing to much junk use the display to decide to dig or not. If the environment allows and the detecttor isn't to noisy, try to rise the DC-Sensitivity.

    Thanks.

Tried mouser. They only have a LED backlit one available (not an exact fit, too tall). I know because I bought it ($50 wasted), unles you are buying 1000s of unit to buy another variation. Now I am trying other vendors.

Centerville has the item "out of stock" in their page.

I will try once or twice again, then give up. My last try will be to adapt a cheap generic one with an arduino interface.

    Wish me luck!

Hey Arizonan. p.m. sent. Hope it will help.

Good Luck and All The Best. May be you post here again if you got a spare part working. 🤞

  4. Hello. First of all, nothing of value or special was found. The weather was nice and I was in the mood for detecting. So I grabbed the gear and started detecting the farmland. Sorry about the sound, but at that time the SpectraSound didn't have a mic-bracket (wich it now has) so there is no detectorsound available in the vid.

The coin is a 2€uro one from 2002. Think one of the harvest hands lost it.

Just a quick pop in to say hi as I look for more information on the hobby I have found myself into. I've been wanting to for a while, and just finally took the plunge. Looking forward to soaking up as much knowledge as I can!

    Cheers,

    Charles

Hello Charles. Nice to have ya aboard. Yes, there are tons of information here, thanks to Steve Herschbach. And feel free to ask if you need some more special information. Your question in the correct forum will not be unanswered I think.

    Good Luck & Enjoy Reading

But who has 10 detectors or more?

Used?? Lot's of more than 10. To get a feeling and like or dislike a detector you don't have to own them. Visit a dealer, or may be a club, and try the machine of your choice, make adjustments and try to get that out of the detector what you like. Have your prefered targets and unwanted targets with you and there you go. And the dealer or club members will help you setting up the machine for sure I think.

    IMHO

Hello everyone, I'm a user of The Legend and Xp Orx. I want to do a manual and sound-only search and have some nostalgia, but I want a device that is resistant to minerals and has good discrimination, do you think it can be tejon or vanquero?

Two weeks ago I had the same idea as there is some one offering a tesoro bandido µmax at craigs list at a reasonable price. ( There are sold some µmax Silver, too).

And 7 days I asked myself, what this detector can do the 4 others I own can not. !? Right at the moment there is nothing the Tesoro will do better; may be less weight. But right at the moment sweeping my detectors isn't a problem.

So Steve & JCR are right, Minton, and you noticed that. And I have to agree.👍

Hello all.  My brother is giving me his older metal detector.  It is a White's MXT e series.  Is this a good metal detector?

Is it specifically good for prospecting certain types of coins? jewelry? I live on the coast and was planning to hobby

prospect for valuables along the beach. Your opinion would be appreciated.

Hello Newby and welcome to the forum. To me the White's MXT e-series is one of the best detectors, hands down. It never gave me the feeling to left something behind depending on the classic knobs and switches as they always let you know what the detectors power is. And it has a really wide selection of search coils, even 3rd party. The only disadvantage is wet saltwater beaches. But other than that you're fine and have a great starter.

Good Luck & Happy Hunting ... and don't forget the most important.. have fun.
