  1. Most of my stellar finds have been in the front and backyards of private homes in my area. My thinking was, all of our societies "going ons" is/was in the backyards of America. From Birthdays to graduations to the yearly 4th of July get togethers. It's all there. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the gardners who lose their jewelry.
  2. Same here! I have an 800 on pre order and would like to know the cost of the smaller coil.
  3. Welcome aboard Steelheader! I'm new today myself but thought I'd start right in on welcoming folks to the forum. I used to own 2.5 acres of land in Southern Oregon and really loved it up there. Best of luck! BH
  4. Thanks for the warm welcome Rod. Glad to be here. Best of luck!
  5. Lol! Twould be nice. Unless pull tabs all of sudden got collectible..
  6. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Looking forward to posting some nice finds. something like a real Rolex would be nice.
  7. Hey jjm, Same here with the CTX. I found swinging slow was a bit more time consuming for me in the sand. Also, I was apprehensive about dunking it in the water with possible sealing issues? The surf can be a bit rough here in SoCal. With the Equinox, since I don't dive, the light weight and low cost make it the perfect replacement for the my Excalibur. This time though, it's going to get underwater.
  8. Having sold my beloved Excalibur (I don't know what I was thinking) I was in the market for a new water machine. Then the Equinox was slated to be released. I previously owned the CTX 3030 but sold it for various reasons. I was concerned about leaking water in the battery compartment basically. So I'm excited to get this new detector and put it in the water immediately. I will let all know how it performs or really how I perform with it. Good luck to all!
  9. Hey Everyone, New member here and just wanted to check in. Not a new guy at detecting and I love detecting the SoCal beaches near where I live. It's awesome exercise and the occasional good find is what keeps me going. Best of luck to all and thanks for having me!
