I don't like the other options and don't want eBay to have any of my debit or credit card info. Bye Bye eBay...
Credit cards give you the most buyer protection and financial protection. Been doing business on Flea Bay for years that way.

So far, speculation on Notka's scoop not being sturdy has not been proven by a user with experience here, using it, AND an other brand for comparison.
Well we will wait for your review in a year! 😉

9" is just too large for good wetsand/ water work.
A 9" scoop better be built like a brick-chit-house.
As mentioned, dry sand work.

They address the oldest models, and weak spots in the lineup as needed. Anytime anything gets discontinued, something needs to replace it. So what is oldest, not selling well, or been discontinued? It ain’t rocket science
So, they are going to make a waterproof Sovereign that will function only in Pinpoint mode AND discriminate! 😁

So went into my wife's jewelry box got all her gold rings I have find over the years. All of the diamond rings sounds horrible on 4/5 bottle cap rejection. On a 3 sounds great!!!
Good catch, and sound advice! How about target breakdown at depth? Did setting 3 seem to hold all the way down?

You have that Equinox purring like a kitten!!!

WTH, is WRONG with companies off setting coils???? What engineer started this chit.

I may upgrade order to complete Deus 2 w/9” coil
9" coil packages are already being sold in the U.S.

I think that prediction is way over-blowen. Unless Deus runs into coil failures or ear breakage.

It has one free hole that may have had a bail attached. Or it could have had just another "stem" of diamonds and attached to something else. I am just sorta lost on what it is-pendant, broach, pin,?,?,?
With the size of the connecting point, it may be a part of something larger?

I just did the. .07 update and I had to re-pair the ws6. And I lost all my custom programs, so I have to do them all over again
It is completely plausible to understand why custom programs would not be saved. After all, factory settings are being re-written with an update.
Then the open slots can be saved in the "new" program settings.
I am not sure why this is hard to understand?

I understand it can be detrimental that was part of the test as well! Also on/off made NO difference when freq scans were done to points of quite from both units!
You have no way to measure silent EMI. Which WILL happen when detectors are 4-5 feet apart. No tests whatsoever are valid with two detectors on and 4-5 feet apart. PERIOD!

Must be said my yard 8" is edge of detection to not detecting with nox800 park 1,field 2,park 2 just machine limits and D2 is 100% stacking up to exceeding and I ran the nox/D2 both on 4,5ft apart with no issues freq scan nox twice though first time both were bazerk! Also turned it off no changes to anything i could tell!:/
You should NEVER do tests with two detectors ON and only 4-5 feet apart.

A new analog machine recently debuted. So , I'm thinking some are buying these to use on the Beach and Park hunting. All these machines can't just be hunted in and around the Old Gold fields, can they?
I don't know? Place of use would be a concern. I can not even get Beach 1 on the Equinox to hunt ocean wet sand. Gold machine?

Before I found the printed hand stop, I tried making one of my own. My first attempt involved building up a ring with golf club grip wrap. That didn't work as well as hoped. The next attempt was a cross section of pool noodle wrapped with electrical tape, then removed and replaced with duct tape
I have made my own grips for over 20 years. Here is one installed with the Equinox. They are a hand saver........... I never want to hunt without one!

Think of swinging that coil with an exaggerated centering device that’s two feet long and how much stress that would put on the coil ears. Maybe we have a mechanical engineer here on the forum who can weigh in on this and explain it better.
Oh, I understand that. If I were to use a centering device, it would be epoxied down as one with the coil.
BUT, this does not nullify the current coil mount problems.
It will be interesting to see if water hunters will have issues with coil ears on the factory set-up. Deus has not made the coils water friendly.

Just looking at the pics of the centering devices, it looks to me like it would introduce rotational torque on the coil ears which could eventually fatigue and crack them. Or maybe the centering device material has enough flex that it “takes up” some of that torque force.
The coil being offset, already makes it off weighted. Therefore, any resistance be it a solid or liquid will create MORE rotational torque.
As a water hunter, one of my tricks in hard wave wash is to stuff the coil down to the bottom as the rush of water goes by. Thus, not catching the coil and having the water force it away from you. This is now complicated by a coil that is not center mounted.

Understandable. But I will note that so far things have generally been resolved with downloadable updates that mitigate the risk of having to send hardware back and forth. This isn't a Whites MX Sport or Fisher F75 DST, or even a Nox leaky head unit or wobbly shaft situation requiring returning HW back to the factory for hardware mods, firmware updates, or wholesale replacement at least not yet... But these new detectors also don't suddenly render your go to detector obsolete, so waiting until the dust settles is prudent.
Or not...
Agreed. A deep dive into the thread linked by Dave put this one to bed pretty quickly. Appears to be an across the board cosmetic issue with the molding process and a non-issue from a structural integrity standpoint. This is backed up by TNSS verifying that both Calabash's RC's show the same cosmetic "flaw" (as does mine) and that hasn't affected watertight integrity on the unit he's racked up 40+ hours in depths greater than 10 feet and up to 28 feet.
I hope it is nothing!

With the recent freezing developments in D2 I'm in no rush to buy one now, or a Legend for a few months. I'll let someone else beta test for me. Not in and rush to be sending things back and forth for fixes.
How with possible case cracking???

May have to replace the entire rod if water hunting.

I found myself spending a small fortune in a hurry, but I’m pretty happy with everything I have coming. Because of the portability of the Deus 2 I had to order the rucksack/backpack. The finds pouch looks well made too.
WT........So $1,600 was not enough??????????????
The only thing I would purchase on your list would be the pod cover. No way in H, am I paying $25 either....

I ordered a 9” in January and last update from my dealer stated they’re not certain but expect a few to come with their next batch of detectors
Stand alone 9" coils are going to available WAY before October!

Let us know who has them please.
Here are two that may still have some. These are small dealers, I suspect there are many more that have 9" ones available.

Thanks for posting all this information, it is a wealth of knowledge! Is this Diablo scoop still made? Also where are you getting your CF rods from?
