  1. I apologize if this sounds obvious, but did you have your cell phone on you while the ATX was on? I had erradic behaviour on my ATX with the LED's all lit up and sometimes pulsing about half of them on and only when I turned my cell phone off, did the ATX calm down to normal operation. Just something to think about. Beav
  2. If you want to see pictures of the two new ATX coils, seach on NQ Explorer's Facebook page under their PHOTOS section. Looks like the photos were taken at Las Vegas. I'd post links but not sure I'm allowed.
  3. I'm looking forward to this! Does this mean that Garrett has ditched the 'troublesome' Cam-lock system in favour of the new Slide-lock system? Will be interesting to evaluate any performance (depth) increases over the older standard coil. Beav
  4. If you ask me these are worth more than gold! TRUE TREASURE!! And an amazing American! Beav
  5. That's what happens when you go past the equator! Beav
  6. I will be using my 'new-to-me' (10 mos. old) ATX with stock coil for nugget shooting both on land and in water on exposed bedrock. I would buy and use the 5"X10" DD Infinium coil for my ATX for land use to lighten the package, but not sure if it can be submerged underwater since Garrett has a notice about it "not being suitable for underwater use" on their web page. Maybe I could completely coat (or dunk) it with a product called "Plasti-Dip" to make it waterproof (?) I don't intend to scuba with it, just use it underwater a couple of feet in a creek while keeping the ATX control box above water. As well will probably take my fantastic vintage GB2 out to get the 'crumbs' the ATX misses. Ground here is moderately mineralized, with a few minor areas that are hot. Beav
