  1. I’m predominantly talking about these iron volume effects on mineralized grounds. For example, a coin with similar dimensions to a neckle put in the bottom of a 8” hole for a depth test: no signal with iron volume 0, mixed signal with iron volume 5..not a totally ferrous signal but a mixed one. And with iron volume set to 0, there were no signals. I know this can be seen like a weird behavior and it’s weird for me too. I’ll try to make a video about this. Thank you for your kindness and see you soon. In italian we talk about “drift towards ferrous”, specially on mineralized grounds. And with iron volume 5 vs 0, it seems that this “obstacle” can be overcome..
  2. I agree when you say it should have no impact on depth. With D1 there was some differences between iron volume set on 0 and set on 5. I’ll try with D2 as well. Thanks for your answer.
  3. Thanks for your answer! But why on D1, there is a depth lose between Iron Volume 0 instead set to 5? Thanks in advance.
  4. I’m not an engineer but only a simple md passionate. I like this thread because is really interesting. My question is: is iron volume a filter when is set to 0, and so when iron is cut out? Because in my opinion it becomes a filter only when is set to 0, discriminating iron. Let me know please, because it’s not my intent to write inaccuracies. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for your interesting video Shopkins. I’d like to deepen one feature: you talk about iron volume set to 0 because also iron volume is a filter..I agree with you when you say that it is a filter, but in my opinion it becomes a filter when is set to 0, because in that way you cut out iron. If you set it to maximum level, 5, cpu doesn’t have to filter anything. The first Deus, mostly on mineralized grounds, is deeper with iron volume set to 5, compared to 0. I’m curious to test this feature on D2..
  6. Just tested Deus 2 on a little and thin piece of foil..I’ve used as usual my hematite stone which is extremely mineralized. So, I’ve a new program for mineralized soils: its name is Focus 1. It’s based on prog. 2 but with Pitch, disc 6, iron volume 4, audio response 6, recovery 3 and ground stabilizer 1. Ground Stabilizer is very important to reach depth...on mineralized soils for sure. And here is a little video. Sorry for the very low quality..
  7. Very interesting. This morning have been on mineralized soil and D2 has been nice, catching deep little targets. Used mainly prog.2 with some changes, but I like prog. 4 as well. I don’t think D1 would have hit them...but before certainty I have to compare D1 and D2 like Paystreak...like him but I’d like to test machines on smaller targets to exalt high frequencies..
  8. His soils are mild. Don’t remember where I read this but he wrote that soils in UK, generally, are not mineralized. And UK people are lucky for this...if this is the truth.
  9. I didn’t know about copper nuggets, very interesting.
  10. Thank you guys for your comments. Yes, I’m sure that Deus1 too would catch that target at that depth in goldfield prog. I’ll cut that piece of foil and try again with the test. I’ll try in Relic prog. as well. And I want to test better disc iar: in that test was 3, with 5 was beginning to discriminate the foil. I have to do other tests. But I’m happy for the result because this program would be a valid alternative to pulse inductions. I’m talking about relic hunting..
  11. Hi all, just come back from testing Deus 2. Little test in Goldfield program which I’d like to use for relic hunting, little targets on high mineralized fields. I did a little thin foil target and put in the bottom of a 6” hole. Nice result and next time I’ll dig a 8/10 hole with the same target in the bottom of the hole. Soil is very hot, looking the bar. Disc IAR was 3 and in this way I can discriminate iron. Little pieces of iron are a problem but it’s a program I will 100% use again in very difficult areas like these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxhB7N_Jtps&t=2s
  12. Thanks for your comment. You’re right but that signal was 100% the target. Stone was ground balanced. Anyway you are right! But I was on the bed with my daughter in the kitchen who wanted me to eat with her and her mother annoyed for the dirty coil on the bed...my God! Next test will be more accurate..
  13. Did a quick test with a little piece of aluminum and my hematite stone. Nice result. In single frequencies Deus can not catch the target. Prog. 2 is the best. Couldn’t test Goldfield prog. because I couldn’t ground balance. But I’ll try again in the near future. Yes, it’s only an air test in my bedroom but it has been the best thing has happened to me during this bad tuesday! By the way that little piece is about 53-55 talking about vdi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WiomNyiG5c&t=12s
  14. 😂😂😂 I agree with you! But it’s a dangerous situation. It’s basic to find reasonable policemen!
  15. Yes, it’s the truth. Halo effect helps machines catching the signal. Freshly buried targets are different. In the near future I’ll test D2 against the Nox800 of a friend. Both with 11” coils..
  16. If the mineralization bar was almost full, that’s a really good result. Thanks for sharing!
  17. Thank you very much El Nino. Based on my personal experience, Deus (1) is the most productive machine I’ve ever used but on hot soils has always suffered. V6 and Relic Striker have been the most powerful detectors on my red dirt. V6 reaches almost the same depth of ATX, talking about the 50 euro cent coin. Big problems arise with little and low conductive targets. So have to test D2 but I’m not so optimistic..
  18. Yes, you’re right. This morning used pitch as well and was deep or anyway it seemed more confortable. Next week I’ll come back on the low mineralized field for an extreme depth test and I’d like also to test machine in recovery and iron masking..
  19. Hi all, this morning I was on a mineralized field: the mineralization bar was full pumping the coil. I tried with prog. 1 and 2. Last week I tested Deus 2 in an area near this one but the result has not been good. Anyway I try with prog. 3 as well. Machine was ground balanced and frequencies were clean after the scan. First 5 minutes are in my little english then in Italian. The signal is almost weak but is present. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-MkTlco9Cs
  20. Thank you very much! Thank you very much!
  21. Thanks for your reply! I’ve never tried with a magnet but it is a test I have to do. There’s bauxite as well. When I touch the soil with the pinpointer before doing ground balance, it screams.. Anyway think Tarsacci is a really serious machine!
