Ethan in Adelaide

Hi Fellas I am seeking for some advice. Currently I have a GPZ7000 and GPX6000 both with standard coils only. I am planning a trip to WA or Tib in NSW either this or next year with dad, so we will use two detectors. I have seem some positive reviews on 12' coils for GPZ7000. I wonder what is your advice? With a GPX6000 would it be a good complementary to 7000 instead of spending another 1300 dollars?😳

Jack I am not sure either. I am still waiting for ute to arrive first...if eveyrthing can be sorted out before September then I maybe able to go. Next year I do plan to spend 2-3 months in WA if you interested...At least free to camp lol

Hi Nedkelly, thank you. Are there any places that would allow me to camp with a caravan for free if possible, or camp based on monthly and annually, not daily? I did see the website you talked about, is this the one? (pls see pic). If I am going there would be at least 20 days or longer with two people..

Aureous, is the national park called Sturt national park? https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/visitor-centres/tibooburra-visitor-centre Looks like I can buy annual tickets for it which cost less money. Kind regards, Ethan

Jack, this sounds very promising to me. Maybe We can meet there this year at some point If I do go there? We ordered new ute and wont come till late June then needs to put bull bar etc...So maybe only get ready by mid July this year. And yes I will have a look tonight for the map again. Hi guys just wonder if anyone familiar with prospecting regulations in NSW🤭? I have been checking on gov website saying need a permit if prospect in state forest..but didn't really give much info about what the forests are??? Anyone used to prospect in forests???? Also I met a guy from gumtree told me he got some gold from tibooburra. There is no forest there..? He said only need to pay some money to petrol station to prospect...I am a bit confused. 😑 I was meant to go to WA this year but new car is still waiting till July so IDK if I can make it. If not I👽 will go to NSW. 😌

I have been there once only, didnt buy section 40e so we ended up only went to blue areas....and ended up having nothing found...but still fun.. great experience.

Aureous, definitely not, I am only a holiday 'prospector' who seek some yellow for fun. But wont hurt to get more info to know whats happening... I heard the lease u buy from pub is based on daily etc,,, say each day 10 bucks.... Also when you mention outer areas....any chance you could explain a bit further? I am very green in this area. Aureos, thank you. Last time we trio went to Laverton without buying section 40e, as we thought pending areas were enough for us and we were wrong. None of those blue areas were looking good. So this time definitely need to buy 40e. Also someone said you can buy lease? And also someone said buy lease in pubs. Do you know any more info about that?

Geof, I bet around those sealed road you must have section 40e as well to be able to prospect?
