Metal Detecting In China?
Ethan in Adelaide replied to Northeast's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Hey mate, I am from China so my understanding is a no go. If you found gold or relics and was known to government, you will need to hand them in otherwise you will be in trouble. Having said that, since China is big and there are many places with long history, it is possible that you found gold and keep it to yourself. A month ago I saw a guy post anonamously a pic of gold decration he found. Looks good and should worth some money. -

6000 Vs Axiom
Ethan in Adelaide replied to Ethan in Adelaide's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Hey Jack i am probobly going to see second hand next week. 3 hour drive. Gpz 7000 for 6000 dollars built in 2019, just out of warranty. Either or, I think yes to master a machine is more important than thinking of which to buy. Will get back to you soon. -

Hi Steve, I really appreciate your reply and yes I will wait for while and see. Merry Christmas. Kind regards, Ethan -
Hi Steven, Thank you for being very informative in providing such a great video. I do have a question: with iron check what if there is a gold nugget as well as a iron nail? IDK what will be that sound like. Also I am based in Australia and will be go prospecting in WA again next year. I am sort of wondering which should I have, a GPX 6000 (dad already has one) or Axiom? ( I have seen your reviews on different detectors however I still wonder if you have some personal opinion? Many Thanks, Ethan

Hi Jack, I have not made up my mind yet. I have been searching on gumtree AU as well and I can see there are more 7k than 6k on gumtree. IDK if that was because they found 7k is too heavy to use? At this stage I am open-minded to 6k, 7k and Axiom. -

Hi mate, Thanks for being so informative. I only found my post now. I went to WA this time with GM and 6000, however we found nothing. Maybe we were too rush and the weather was hot and we didnot buy section 40e. My GM kept making noise and 6000 generally does better knocking out that noise. However there was once in one area GM found a very small piece wrap foil where 6000 does not react at all. I am planning to go WA next year again with another 6000 and I am selling my GM1000. -
I can sell mine to you if u interested. Bought this year on September.
