  1. Paid for the trip, the food/water/booze and gasoline ... even a little profit to bank! Well done!
  2. Always good to get rid of a spammer. Unfortunately a spammer caused a really good long post to be ended. The Journal by GhostMiner(GM) unfortunately bit the dust because the spammer was able to get too much info on GM. So GM is no longer posting anything. Just seems sad that the better part of our community has to suffer because of the selfishness of the spammer! It's really too bad especially when that happens to a very entertaining and educational post.
  3. BMc ... That's not the only jar Montana filled. I've seen others back in the day before he moved from AZ to CA. Always enjoyed the adventures with him.
  4. My first love is tournament bass fishing out of my kayak, Old Town Big Water 132 ePDL. I just did my last tourney this past Sunday ... had a bad day on the water! I will be cleaning and storing the fishing equipment today and then on to the deer season in NH and ME. It all starts with Black powder muzzleloader season in NH Nov 2nd. Rifle season starts on the 13th and runs to Dec 8. I only do the rifle season in Maine. That starts November 4 the runs to November 28. I will be in Maine probably the last 10 days or so to the end of the season and then back to NH to the end of that season. After that I have a short wait until safe ice and ice fishing usually starting after January 1st. Hoping to get back to AZ in February for a little nugget shooting. Then April starts the kayak bass tourney season all over again. Not too bad for a 75 year old currently ... hope I stay healthy enough to do this routine for at least another 10 years or more. Stay active my friends and age doesn't have so much of a chance to catch up with you!
  5. I would like to talk with Bob if he is still alive. He was a mentor of mine many years ago. Thanks.
  6. Dog head slightly tilted in the upper left ... body sprawling left to right. Have to have a bit of imagination I guess! LOL!
  7. Bring it on GhostMiner! Good to see you back. I understand speaking of those we loved and appreciated and have passed to the Greater Gold Fields Above is a hard thing to reminisce even years later.
  8. Gold Ryder ... Hannah's nugget is a beauty. Look at the second picture and note the dog with large head imprinted into the nugget!
  9. Well done Goldseeker! Assuming Montana location?
  10. GhostMiner ... You OK? Odd not to see a post from you in more than a couple days let alone 6.
  11. A Big Man in stature and deed! The few interactions with the man the legend were fun, informative and funny all wrapped into one! Sorry I won't be able to make the memorial but I pledge to be there in spirit ... a shot of whiskey in his honor! LOL!
  12. R.I.P. Jacob ... Thank you for sharing all your priceless mining information! You will be missed more than you might imagine!
  13. Never have been that close to a real wild bear. So I am wondering if being sprayed by the bear spray reminds the bear of the day it got sprayed by a skunk? Just the first thing that came to mind when I saw that burst of spray!
