If so, anyone going to the outing July16-20 at Frenchmans lake? If your not a member, its only $40, pay up and come join us. Theres usually a group of us adventurers that group together, yall probably know some of them (Don Robinson, couple others)and hike into some canyons or diggins. Ive actually found some of my biggest pieces on these trips. Hope to see/meet some of ya!Ray

Welcome Steve to Sweet Home OR. Steve was able to stop by for a visit Wed. night, the night of our club meeting. Sooo of course we talked him into speaking at the meeting. It didn't take much talking in fact it didn't take any at all. If you don't know Steve he is a great guy and probably the best speaker when it comes to his passion, GOLD. I've known Steve for 15 years and he is a natural when it comes to using and speaking about metal detecting, metal detectors and gold in it's many forms. Thank you Steve! We will hook up in Northern Nevada and spend some time together detecting for gold. Hopefully it will be as good next time as it was last time. Thanks again, Steve Houston

GREAT EVENT.. MAY 16 TH AND 17 TH Coulterville, CA 95311 Directions to this claim are as follows..... From Coulterville, drive up the mountain towards Yosemite on Hwy 132 to Greeley Hill 7 miles. Turn right on Holtzel Road, between the grocery store and hardware store. Follow Holtzel Road for 2.1 miles to Dog town Road, turn LEFT on Dog town Road and follow Dog town Road for two miles to the claim. Huge claim sign at the campground. The claim is where Dog town Road crosses the creek, about 1/2 mile from where the pavement ends. I look forward to seeing everyone there...Lets all have some fun!!!! -

Ray Mills put the word out publically at http://arizonaoutback.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=11817 and on other forums about a get-together in the Sawtooth Mountain area near Sulphur, NV. Never been there before and this will be a chance not only to see the place but to meet Ray and others I have not met before. Anyway, I hope to get there just before dark and hang out for two or three days. I decided just to be different I would grab my Garrett ATX for this trip. I think it is feeling a little jilted since the SDC showed up so I figure I better give it a little love. It should be a good area for the ATX - relatively open, flat terrain. The guys started getting there on Saturday so hopefully somebody will have gold to show off by the time I get there. It is like any place lots of people know about and with easy access in that the easy stuff is gone, and there does not appear to ever have been a lot of easy stuff. Hello all, a few of my friends are going to Sawtooth Mtn, Nv for some detecting. The dates are 17,18,19,20 April.
