If your in Yank land, about 2 to 3 days flying time. Then you have about 3 hrs driving time from the Air Port. This is the place were the "Welcome Stranger" was found. wombat

Very good advice GB. I know I have been hitting a spot, not that far away from my place. As far as I know the only people that have hit this spot is my self and a few very close friends that I've have taken there. I hadn't be down to this spot for a long time as I thought I had done it well and cleaned it all out. But one day I took a couple of friends down there to have ago and told them they may or may not find anything as I have hit this area pretty hard. But low and behold I picked up another nugget (3.5gm) down about 12" on an old mullock heap. And my friends found one each also that same day. They just went back to the spot a few days ago and found another 2 small nuggets. And I thought that I did this whole area really well. It now shows me that I must have being doing something wrong. This spot is not a big area and I have been down there many times before with no luck. But it has now shown me by other people finds that I need to go back down there again and change my tactics. One being going a lot slower as I think that could be part of the problem. I do find gold, but how much have I missed.???? wombat

Good on you Dave. You were due to find one above 0.01. I took the Central Branch PMAV crew out on Sunday and they to were finding mainly 0.i and slightly above until someone found a 3 to 4 grm nugget. Then the rain come it and stuffed it all up for everyone. We are going to go back to this spot later in the year. Anyway Dave Well done again on your find. wombat

Hi Jen & Mike I heard that you may have been on here, so I thought I'll look in and see. Liked what I saw so I joined. (found a lot of other friends here as well) Jen and Mike you were great people on the other forum and both very good moderators as well as personal friends. I was sorry to see you both go from there, but that was your choice. You both will be sadly missed from there by a lot of good members. You both made a big impacted on that site. (Sorry I needed to get that of my chest.) I would also like to wish you Jen a "Happy Birthday" for a couple of days ago, and I can see from your comments that you got a great gift from young Mike, a big hug. I hope the day went well for you. Anyway this topic is about Young Mikes fantastic find. Next time you see him give him a big pat on the back for me. Well done mate. He always has that knack of finding those big ones.
