  1. Congratulations on the great Gardner find. Keep at it in the area now that your getting rid of that surface trash the good deep coin tones and civil war relics will really stand out!
  2. Congratulations on the great finds over the weekend and especially that 1916 Merc! I'm thinking that you have some close to virgin ground there. I would start gridding the area off and detect it from two directions and concentrate on those deep silver tones! NCtoad are you using the Equinox? Good luck when you get back in there.
  3. Last year Minelab dropped their patent rights on their multi frequency technology and companies like Nokta Makro have started to utilize the techniques of Minelab into their new, supposedly first true, simultaneous multi-frequency machine the Legend. Minelab is now seeking out patent rights to a new technology for a release in 2022 which will hopefully lead to the next chapter to the CTX line or quite possibly a Equinox 2. Detectival 2022 is going to be incredible this fall!
  4. Thank You Everyone! I have been metal detecting since 1989 and I've been a Kansan my entire life. I am a member of the Topeka Treasure Hunters Club and currently hunt for old coins, civil war relics, lost jewelry. I don't do much beach hunting, however I have done some locally and out at Myrtle Beach while on vacation. My newest detector is the Deus and I have been enjoying getting to know its learning curve. We do lots of park and small property hunting. My favorite detector, so far has been the Etrac followed closely by the Equinox.
  5. Indeed this is true that the prices have gone up on the Equinox. There is a strong belief that this is not because of inflation, but instead that a new chapter to the Equinox lineup is about to be released at this years Detectival in September. They want to keep the edge against Nokta Makro and their Legend release this year. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but Minelab has dropped its patent rights to their Multi-Frequency technology and this is the very reason why the Legend is boasting their new one of a kind, "first true" simultaneous multi-frequency technology. Now we all know that Minelab always patents their new processors and technology as its ever changing. What is the next chapter for Minelab? 2022 release of the new CTX6060 or maybe the Equinox 2 to compete with Deus? hmmmmm......????? v
