I guess Nokta can sue them back for the flashlight and vibration handle. They are both copying each other.

Vibration handle been around a long time. VALLON used it 10 years ago in their PI detectors. Military detectors. No beep for the enemy to hear. Still use it.

the contact between the coil ear and the clevis is made by that Deus "plug."  IN other words, it works the same way your Deus lower works

Thanks. That has proven to be a bad design here in VA. oceanfront. Sand is eating the clevis away on the non washer side. I’ll try and send a picture. Thanks again. This is my friend Dennis’s. I modded mine in the beginning to a washer on both sides. He switched to the centering device to stop the wear on his coil ears

  3. I posted this back in April my mod for concealed antenna cable. By coiling the wire you can fully collapse both shafts if you exit just behind the RC as shown. The top shaft can now be opened to the cuff for suitcase travel.

  4. It’s not always the machine but the operator that make a difference. The AQ is tuned for a salt environment so any test should be done on a salt beach as I described to find its full potential I think. A air test above ground will not yield a proper result. I can tell you either of my AQ’s yield the same result in salt. 18” on a US nickel with the standard coil. The 10” coil has not been tested in this manner.

I might start a different thread today on air test vs in ground targets.  Would love to hear everyone’s take on the  topic.  Know it it has been discussed in past.  I just can’t remember.

The proper way to do an air test with your PI, is to elevate the coil above a clean patch of ground, say with a piece of 1/2” wood, with the coil horizontal to the ground and wave the target above the coil. Never do the air test indoors or with the coil vertical. Horizontal and just above  the ground should yield the same result as if the target was buried. Some would argue a ( halo effect ) that I don’t prescribe to. JMHO

I know the Disc at 8 would make 06, 07, 08 sound off with the iron tone, but wouldn't the Notch at 10 just blank out 00-10, or is that the purpose?

That is the purpose. It works on dimes and pennies but not with big iron. I only had dimes and pennies masked. The cross was not masked so I don’t know how it acts with gold. Also the big iron overwhelmed the software while using the 13” coil. Not sure about the 11”. Also this was my first spin with the 13” so please don’t hold my feet to the fire. I only posted my findings. I also post to try and help everyone. I guess I do have the option of just keeping things to myself. People here seem to be awfully hostile now that the new Minelab machines are out. Good luck to everybody no matter what your preference is.

  7. Finally got out with my 11x13 coil. I found it no more fatiguing than the 11” I normally swing at the beach. Was a tough day with few targets  that was not coil related I think. I spent to much time in the wash digging lead before I finally realized where things laid. Lead was extremely deep in the 15” range judging by the depth of my 720i scoop. The target ID’s on all my targets were spot on. One thing that stood out differently than the 11” was, large iron ( say 4” x 1/2” thick square ) seemed to overwhelm the software a bit. The 06, 07, 08 signals for masked coins cleared up when I ran disc. 8.0 and notch at 10. I noticed 10” roughly deep targets, while pin pointing by X ing the targets, coin size targets would ping about 3” in front of center and 3” back of center of the coil. So I would say at the 10” depth I had roughly 6” of coverage. I think that is quite a bit more than the 11”. I have never taken my 9” coil to the beach but I’m sure it is no where near that either. Again, my normal 4 hr spin was no mor fatiguing with the 13” than the 11”. Well, good luck everybody and for those who wish to know, these were my settings. Beach sensitive, 95 sens, disc 8.0, salt 7, iron vol. 2, reactivity 1, notch 10,  pitch, B caps 3, silencer 0, tracking off magnetic accept. On a side note, one thing I do not like is that small a$$ 1/4” plastic bolt for the coil. 🤔

    Good point, NC. 🤔

I weighed all 3 lowers, the 13" lower weighs 10g less than the 11" lower, about the same as the Nokta CF lower.

The 11" and 9" coil lowers do not have "CF" in the circle.

I don't know if there are other processes used to create CF extrusions except the woven ones like the Nokta. I guess all we can do is speculate. 🙂

I do not think it is carbon fiber now. My pin pointer will not sound off on it as it will on all my other CF shafts. Also just does not look like CF. I buy lots of CF shafts and all are woven.

Should be getting out tomorrow. There aren't many video reviews of this coil either, I hope @Carolina does some beach time and posts it.

I'm going to go to a pounded relic site and maybe use SS for a bit too.

This is my friends spin today with the 13 x 11 coil. He says it came with a CF shaft as someone earlier said they had weighed it and it was much lighter than the stock lower shaft. It is marked CF. He did not notice any fatigue after a four hour spin. He remarked it did not feel nose heavy either. For him it was like the 11”. Seems as deep as the 11”. Things are tough here now so no rings. A 10k grillz, 925 cross, 925 toe ring. As a test today, he ran his disc. at 8 and then ran notch at 8 also. This stopped the masked 06, 07 & 08 signals we have been getting. Out of 10 masked signals, 2 were tent stakes, 6 dimes, 1 nickel and 1 penny,  which their vdi’s came in normal, not the 06, 07, & 08.

Well that's what I'm thinking, I go to beaches a few times a year, and have two within an hour of me. Got gold at the smallest in the spring. May expand my area to two hours away, but better to go with someone.

I'm headed to some pretty big beach spots next year. I was considering a large coil for my Equinox, but because this is only a few ounces heavier than the 11" I think it's the best alternative albeit pricey.

Around here it probably won't give me any advantage at all.

If they come out with a 10x5, I'm in tho!

Don’t waste your time coming to Virginia Beach, it’s hunted out 🤣

I’m not a fan of big coils, but if XP doesn’t offer a smaller coil than the 9” then I may opt for the 13” just to try it.

The 9” looks like a coffee cup saucer to me by the 11” Lol. My 13” should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Does anyone else have an issue with their F Pulse pin pointer not being able to hear it at the loudest setting also the vibration mode is very weak on it so I was just curious if this is common with the F Pulse

I have owned the TekPoint for ever seems like( same pointer ) without any issues at all. Check the obvious, battery and scroll thru the settings. Good luck.

Well we shall see. One thing I see is how long before that cuff breaks ? Also that’s a lot of coil to be pushing thru the water. Good to see it’s arrival though. Let the videos begin !!!
