The aussie gold diggers is just as bad they approached us every year to be on their show, but the pay is shizenhouzen and they would own your soul if you were stupid enough to sign up! Last offer was a pitiful $2000 a week... jezze I find 2oz a week easy why would I sell myself for less than I make anyway¿ And the production company makes millions. They seem to pray on peoples desire to be famous, but what people don't realize is how fame changes your life.

Its just ridiculous scripted b.s. They were chasing me to be on their show but I scared them off by telling them what they would have to do to follow me safely in the 40+heat and how much they would have to spend. I still wouldn't have been interested in sharing the screen with Parker unless they would PAY me properly. None of the people on these 'reality shows' get payed properly they just get tidbits and 15min of fame.

Once you go wireless you can never go back!!! I've been using wireless transmission and lifepo cells for years too, first on the 4500 then the 5000 my first one was from Ismael in WA it was called the 'little ripper' and jeeze was it a ripper! I bought one of his first units and he even customized it to suit my requirements. Ismael is a real gentle man too.

I took a photo of the charger so you can source it. I bought them some time ago off ebay.com (not ebay.com.au). I've knocked up a few of the patch leads for friends who liked Amber’s setup. The last one I did my friend bought two 8200mah batteries I recall them being around $70 aud for two. The charger is awsome it automatically reads the battery type and voltage and charges really quickly. I always use LiFePo cell's over standard lithium.

I did look at other transmitters but I wanted the speaker as its WAY to hot where we are working to wear headphones and we prospect for a living so the extra cost is negligible to us. Amber more than payed for the whole setup on the first day with her finds anyway.

I payed $24 AUD each for the RC batterys and $60 for a charger that balance charges two at once from flat in under 2hrs off ebay.

Why not go completely wireless? You wont regret it! This is my wife Amber's setup on her 5000. The setup consists of a RC battery, minelab prosonic wireless system and a patch lead that I made from the prosonic wire and an old coily cord that I spliced together to make the patch lead. They are held in place with velcro and the control box cover easily fits over the transmitter and battery as shown. Its way lighter than the other setups pictured as the RC battery has no ally case or amplifier. And of course its wireless! Just carry the speaker anywhere or plug headphones into it, no annoying wires connecting you to the detector. After going wireless... using wired setups are like dragging a convict ball and chain!

I can carry my 7000 a spare 18in coil, 1100mm long HD pick, 6L of water and other supplies safely and securely even on a trail bike. Well worth the money they cost.

Look at the Generals setup.... Mmm I don't know about the diaper though. You might be able to go try a bunch of military backpacks I use the Eberlestock one's, they are a quality American made product and they all have attachment points on the shoulders for your bungee cord. But pretty much any military hydration type or day pack will do the job nicely.

Hi Guys I've started this post to inform members and non member detectorists that the NQMA (North Queensland Miners Association) is lobbying the Queensland Mines department to change access laws to EPM's (exploration tenements) The proposed change would ban detecting and prospecting on exploration tenements without the consent of the tenement holder. This would effectively ban metal detecting in any gold field as they are mostly covered by exploration tenements. Whats worse is that more than half of the members of the NQMA are detectorists or hobby prospectors. And they are using the money from their yearly fee's to lobby for this change. This change is the brain child of James Said the current president of the organization. I think this could be classed as recent and big lol They are still out there lurking in the depths waiting to be recovered by a patient methodical prospector.

Im replacing it with the ktm but still currently have it. As the ktm runs the full size wheel and weighs 5kg less even though it is a 350 vs a 150 and it handles like a trials bike because it has trials ergonomics and the gearing is set low in the first 3 gears to aid in rough technical riding but the other gears are set for speed. I also installed a rekluse auto clutch which makes it handle even better. Its the model called ktm 350 freeride but mine is the rare racing model with a worked motor and changeable map settings

Yeah I wouldn't be doing that too often¡¡¡¡ The ml pinponter is next to usless on nuggets under 5g.

Hi JW If you saw the crazy stuff I do every day ya wouldn't be worried about my shoulder. ................ you'd be wondering whether I'll make it to that age¿¿¿¿¿ A couple of months ago I got a 350 ktm so this may shorten my life expectancy considerably LoL

I don't have time to edit videos or have enough internet to upload them. And you try carrying around unnecessary gear all day when in 40degc+ heat and you have to carry 6l of water and another 3kg of other essentials. And for me I don't get excited over gold anymore its just money to me. For me its just a means to maintain my adventurous lifestyle. My excitement is dangerous bush bashing deep into wild country where no man has gone before, near death experiences on the motorbike and anything that gets the adrenaline pumping. Gold is just a yellow shiny rock that pays for the adventure!

My pinpointer is a minelab one it dose not interfere with the detector when off.

When out I performed an air test and it was much less could only get it at half way on the pick handle so about 575mm I got a 24g au content speci the same day in similar ground at about 500mm and when I swung over it I could only get the same response that pulled me up at 370mm I'll put up a photo for ya later.

The 14 was on my Zed. My mate runs a 5k 14in elite combo.

I've found most people are inherently negative about things, I don't think they realize how much a negative attitude effects what ever they are doing, this is even worse when they don't understand something its always easy to blame the tools and not look to the cause. I've noticed all of the most successful prospector's I have met have a positive can do attitude.

Hi guy's Thanks for the reply's! I don't bother filming any more as I don't have the time to edit and no internet where I live doesn't help either. I only have internet on my phone when I'm in transit or visiting a friend. And I'm that busy making a living and managing our company's exploration projects I no longer have time to edit film. I could not believe how deep I got such a small speci ether and how sensitive a coil of this size is to small gold, its now proven its self to me to be run as my standard coil! In a few month's those that were sensible enough to give the coil a proper run will not regret it. It will be just like when I said how good the 7k is, and got bagged on au forums, a bit of history repeating. It is funny how only positive accounts get bagged or scrutinized but negative ones get much less scrutiny. And most of the time the negative ones are full of operator errors.

I can't stand using a bungee as they impede my swing too much and I would have to wear a backpack or harness. I hate wearing backbacks and harnesses as I overheat! Its bloody hot most of the year where I work it easily gets over 43degc in the shade. And I like to have no shirt on for part of the day as it helps me keep my body temp down and manage myself in the extreme heat so I can work longer. Hydrolite sports in my water also helps as it replaces your tissue salts particularly magnesium as I have to drink about 6l of water per day, and if you sweat all of your salts out you will get cramps or dehydrated. The body can't hold water without any salts.

Forgot to say............ Minelab must have been listening to my previous comment, quote me 'I would swing an anvil if it would find me more gold'. Cause the 19 is like swinging an anvil! Its going to take some getting used to geeze its a heavy bugger.

That was when both of us were listening to the speaker on my 7k as I was waving over the target when I first found it. My friend is still learning and I was trying to show him how to identify a deep faint target, so he stood right next to me and put the speaker between us I was trying to show him how important it is to have the right swing speed and smoothness to get the best response out of the detector. And to show him what a deep response is like. I'm sure most would walk straight over this target without even noticing anything deep targets can be very subtle.

I've got my new battery so I'm heading back out tomorrow will do an air test while I'm out there. Don't worry I was as shocked as you when it was only 50g Au! I thought it was going to be 4oz+. Before someone says it fellin from the side I pinpointed it in the bottom of the rock crack with a pinpointer so it definitly didn't fall in from the side of the hole. And my mate that was with me could not hear the target at all until I dug off 150mm, I'm pretty sure that was because of our differences in our hearing.
