  1. Boy.. isn't that the truth!! That was me this year up in Chicken, although my 4 wheeler and truck was broke down most of the season the river being high and muddy didn't help either when I was able to get back in there. I always said, when/if dredging ever becomes not fun anymore I will get a day job again..
  2. I am.. slowly selling off everything except the claims and small rec stuff. I'm back at AMDS permanently, you should stop by and say hi.
  3. Thanks Steve.. looking forward to it. Would be really great if you were here but I wouldn't want to leave Reno in winter either.. I have a new Condo in Laughlin, perhaps we'll have to go metal detecting sometime when I get down there.
  4. I'm glad your doing so good.. the previous owner of those claims couldn't find gold to save his life and he had a 6" dredge! hahaha
  5. Hey Neighbor! Just one little bit of advice.. put 5200 on your fingers and thumb on the gloves, it will make them last from 3 weeks to 3 months. Get the 5200 in the Red and White package.. NOT the blue and white. The Red and White package cures over night compared to 7 days with the other. Brian
  6. I'M BACK... and this time for good. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Brian Berkhahn.. I used to be the Mining Dept. Manager at Alaska Mining & Diving Supply (AMDS) of Anchorage, Alaska from 2001 to 2005 but really never left, only moved to the yard during the winter and started commercial dredging/mining during the summer. My plans are to once again bring the mining dept. back to it's former glory so if you need anything please give me a call at 907-277-1741 or email me at brian@akmining.com .. I'd be happy to help you. Any thoughts/suggestions are more then welcome. Thanks, Brian Berkhahn, Mining Manager Alaska Mining & Diving Supply, Inc. (AMDS) 3222 Commercial Drive Anchorage, AK 99501 907-277-1741 brian@akmining.com www.akmining.com
  7. Hey Mose.. come in and get the DVD and instructions, it'll help you out... you left them here on my desk. If you think it seems "weak" then just change the batteries, I don't know how old the batteries are but there's nothing wrong with the machine. Brian
  8. Turns out this was meant for Parkers camp at Haines.. since he's going to be in the Klondike they need professional miners to run Parkers camp. I guess John isn't going to do it anymore.
  9. Aw man.. I've never seen that pic before.. That does bring back some great memories. I believe the reason I actually dredged there is because Doug asked me to give it a go to see if it'd be worth having people come up and dredge so seeing as I love to dredge I said SURE!! He already bought Andy's 5" dredge and had it sitting there so half the work was already done. I still wish he would've let me dredge the backside of the flag on the runway, where we were pulling all the nuggets off the top off. I know it was the last scoop off the bottom but Doug said No because it was downstream from the outhouse. I was fully enclosed in my neoprene so I didn't care, turns out it was the same spot where (I think) Jesse found that 20oz'er. I think it would've been really good. Thanks for the pic Steve. Thanks!
  10. Finally made it.. My email kicked my validation out as spam, glad to see you decided to get another forum going. Brian
