  1. Good then. I'll just run it with my bone conduction headphones. Who cares if there is a micro second delay.
  2. Who said it was a "no"? I thought it was quite informative and I think he reloaded it after removing that long black screen section at the end. It is only 46 min. long now.
  3. Then will it connect with regular old Bluetooth headphones or only with the aptx or LE?
  4. If there are no or few other Bluetooth LE headphones available to test it on or unless it is somehow backwards compatible with other Bluetooth devices how would anyone know if it is Bluetooth LE or proprietary?
  5. Dave, I hope the Manticores are on this ship that docked Friday. It looks like there are 23 pallets of new detectors from Malaysia so I am hoping those aren't all Nox 900s. I know Gerry is expecting some of those real soon. Maybe we'll get our Manticores next week and I'll have to send Minelab an apology! But, enjoy your trip. I'm pretty sure you will have your Manticore before you leave.
  6. This on the Customs Import page. Could these be Manticores or the Nox 900s that Gerry is receiving that somehow got ahead of the Manticores that everybody wants? Bill of Laden says these were shipped from Malaysia and going to Norfolk, VA. The buyer is Minelab Americas in Naperville, IL. (Chicago area). I think I read that there are about 40 detectors to a pallet so that would be about 920 detectors. And, Calabash Digger just released a short video saying his Manticore is on the way, so maybe this shipment is the Manticores! ARRIVAL DATE: 12/9/2022 (Yesterday. Worth noting was that this ship was expected on 12/03/2022 and was 6 days late) FROM: MINELAB ELECTRONICS C O NEW SIGN LOGISTICS (M) SDN BHD NO.39 JALAN 14/KS10, TELOK GONG PELABUHAN KLANG MY BRONWYN BLAKE DESC.: 23 PALLETS METAL DETECTORS HS CODE: 8531.80. 9051 INVOICE NO: MLU888162SCAC CODE: RLUSHBL N O: S03847300
  7. Blackscreen starts at 46:15. Some edited scenes are near the end.
  8. I watched it. Didn't see or hear anything about the Bluetooth. Best is to try to connect after your get your Manticore home in 2023 or 2024. The last half of the video is just black screen and some of his edits that needs to be deleted. So, it isn't as long as you think.
  9. Great! Thanks, dsb. I'll take a look at that this afternoon. There is a new video on the unboxing, assembly and more on the Manticore. this guy goes into great detail that some might want to watch and pick up on.
  10. I'll have to look up that video and see where the legal (to detect) beaches are. I think Padre Island is off limits now but I'm not sure.
  11. Dave, I have Galveston and the Gulf shore a few hours south of here but I haven't gone down there since we moved to Texas (about 15 years). I've heard the water isn't that nice since the Mississippi drains into the Gulf then currents send the muddy water west. Still, I probably need to schedule a few days to go down there with my non-existent Manticore. Since there are still two weeks 'til Christmas, I guess there is still time for Minelab to get it to me and other Americans in their advertised time-frame.
  12. Well, I am done with discussing whether dealers should keep the first detector of a miniscule shipment when customers have already paid for it. It is pointless to repeat what I've already said. Minelab and their dealers aren't going to be swayed from what they are doing anyway. Everyone here knows my opinion.
  13. I think when you have customers who have ALREADY pre-paid for a product, they deserve to be filled as soon as product arrives. They stand ahead of the retailer in that regard. That's the policy at every electronics retailer.
  14. Well, it seems one customer was lucky enough to receive one of the 14 Manticores sent to distributors/dealers. His dealer apparently was honest enough to give it to one of his pre-paid customers instead of keeping it for himself.
  15. Of course, it isn't the dealer's fault, Gerry. But I do blame Minelab for advertising the Manticore would be available to put under the Christmas tree then not delivering. 14 units is NOT honoring that promise. It doesn't matter if the U.S. is #1 or #10 in sales. It's about customer service and following through with promises. As far as brand loyalty, a company that gives customers the runaround then fails them with delivery promises deserves no loyalty. I'll buy a Minelab product as long as I think it is the best product for my needs but if another company comes out with a better detector that I think better suits me, I'll be right there to switch to that machine. Dealer loyalty is another matter entirely.
  16. They will be coming out with the new CTX 4040 next fall/winter so you'll be able to get in on that waiting game, Chase.
  17. Minelab, if you read this forum, and I suspect someone in management does, it is only 16 days until Christmas and not a Manticore in sight in the U.S.A.!! The 14 units for the dealers to play with doesn't cut it. How about having the CEO fly over here and present us with one or several ocean freight containers full of Manticores so those who have already pre-ordered will have them in time for Christmas? If you can't do that then don't run full page ads saying they will be here for Christmas. Time is almost up!
  18. Trying to get a Manticore is like pulling teeth!!
  19. Oh no!! I hope you get it maybe tomorrow or early next week! Maybe they are busy shipping them out to answer your email right away. Isn't it very early in the morning there?
  20. From the videos I've looked at (and I've looked at almost all of them) sometimes the TT seems to be a little different than just a ferrous vs conductive TID number. I don't claim to know why but sometimes it looks as though the width is outside the TID numbers flashed on the screen. BTW, phrunt did you get your Manticore this week?
  21. Unless there is two feet of snow on top of frozen ground by the time we see our Manticores!!
  22. Yeah, that's what I need - a horse tranquilizer. Send one for my dog too, she's young and sort of hyper. I'm not only gumpy but I have no patients either and I've been waiting over two months. My psyche doesn't deal with that very well but don't worry, I'll survive the wait.
  23. 100 is a few days too, strick. Specifics, buddy!!
