And technically interesting too ... I thought that General and Park were dedicated to inland hunting only but now I know they can be used in dry beach sand too ... thx

Indeed you can use the General program or the park program or even another continental program. 

As long as the sand is dry and there is no too wet sand underneath. Sometimes 
I even use the gold field program if the dry sand is not too mineralized. 
This program is ideal for finding very small gold jewelry.

For the wet part use the P13 (Beach Pitch) which comes from the Beach sens program 
(multi frequency whose max frequency is around 40 Khz)

If you want to dig deep, accept the magnetic in the ground settings. 
It will perform well in magnetic black sand. 
The counterpart is that we will lose a little in audio comfort.
