CPT_GhostLight
General, Relic, Dive, and all the Beach Programs are frquency subtractive programs that can be an adavantage when dealing with wet ground. I think that is why the beach hunter in North Carolina probably uses it and it may work well there in his conditions. I have only been on one beach so far with my D2. I used a modified Beach Sensitive and it performed very well in and out of the Pacific salt water. I did use Goldfield on the dry sand to check iffy targets and it was great for that, but was unusable in the salt surf.
ColonelDan
Relic may suit your needs in really dry sand but I stay with a modified Beach Sensitive anywhere close to wet salt sandy beaches....and wet salt sand is about all I hunt. Just the experience from my beachy foxhole.....😄
