  1. I have them. https://docsdetecting.com/product/knee-pads-doc-endorsed-best-knee-pads-i-have-ever-used/
  2. I hate to say I told you so, but I don't have to; DSmith you pretty much said it all. Thank you for the review. Doc
  3. Not if you are using my system. You will have more volume than you can use. In fact, you can take your headphones off turn the volume up and still clearly hear what is going on. With headphones you have to adjust volume to about 20% on the Gold Screamer it's just way too loud at full power. Doc
  4. Phrunt, I was the first company to come out with a Lithium Ion solution as far back as the SD2100 early 1990's. And it's amplified! I have sold thousands of these systems. It's called the Gold Screamer® Power pack. The major difference is my setup has a built in amplifier that amplifies your sound over 500%! And it comes with a cover with a built in pouch, 2 batteries that are absolute top quality, and we are now including the VidPro Dual SMART battery charger with AC and DC adapters. It is 110 and 220 compatible and we include the Aussie adapter plug, just make sure you request it. $469, with optional speaker, $505. Price on additional batteries is now $55. Prices have changed a bit since I did this video, Gold Screamer® Power Pack Regulator Amplifier Battery System - Doc's Place (docsdetecting.com)
  5. Phrunt here in the U.S. if you were to buy that little specialized screw and that neat little nut, your cost would be $5 all by itself at a hardware store, it you could find them. I really appreciate you showing that because I think I may start including them along with the SAGA to give customers another way to connect the SAGA to the detector rod, along with the clip I already provide. Doc
  6. Phrunt posted a pretty neat Clip he got from China. It works perfect for your Swing Arm. Especially if you have a Minelab Swing Arm that has no convenient way to store the Swing Arm if you don't want to use it. I ordered a sample and it has my approval. So I ordered 550 of them. Price $3.50 plus shipping in the U.S. Unfortunately depending on where you live shipping will probably be more than the clip. Doc
  7. $9 each plus shipping. Shipping $5 in the U.S. Message me your address and I will send you a payment link Doc
  8. Phrunt, I forgot to thank you for showing that Swing Arm Shaft clip. I got 50 of them. Next iteration of my SAGA shaft clamp I intend to incorporate some elements of that clamp in the design. The rubber elements are great because they make the clamp more resistance to breakage. However the ability to connect it to the detector shaft needs to be more versatile because it will not fit a lot of the detector shafts out there. I am thinking of a hybrid that uses the strap attachment I have designed with the rubber clamp. Never know what you are going to find on the Ali site. Some good some bad, but usually the good stuff is priced very reasonably. Thanks Phrunt. Doc
  9. Wait until your break your third Minelab guide arm. Because they do break and they break often. The longer rod accommodates folks who are tall. One size does not fit all. I make my products to be durable and to last. I used the Minelab Swing Arm until I snapped the third one. That is when I decided to develop something new, something different that actually guided the coil. Everyone has their favorite accessory, and I'm happy you found something that works for you. By the way I might mention if you want a valuable addition to your Minelab Swing Arm, buy one of those Swing Atm clips Phrunt has pictured, being Minelab does not supply a Swing Arm clip to store their Swing Arm when you are not using it They work wonderfully. Doc
  10. All of those things can be purchased on Ebay and shipped internationally. Here's the problem countries in the European Union require you to collect duty before shipping. You have to get a license, then you have to submit the tax to each of these countries. It's an enormous hassle, and I'm not getting involved in it. Australia is fine because I don't have to collect the import duty first. Ebay is fine because they already have the license and they collect the import duty and submit it to the country. All of the items on my website can be shipped to Australia, however as I said the shipping will be more. My Australian customers generally contact me tell me what they need I package it up, tell them what the shipping would be. If it meets with their approval I sent them a payment link with the invoice and were all set. Doc
  11. Sorry I stand corrected and you are correct it is a Pelxus manufacturing facility. But I also thought they were making the Codan communication equipment as well long before they also took on Minelab manufacturing? Or have I got my facts screwed up? Doc
  12. Mostly that has to do with Detectors that we are not allowed to sell outside the U.S. There are some items that are too cost prohibitive to ship. But I send stuff to Australia every week. On the GPAA Specials I'm happy to send the merchandise but the shipping cost will be higher. Doc
  13. Oh wow. Next time your detecting a wall using the SAGA snap a picture. Thank you. Doc
  14. Phrunt I'd love to have some pictures of you detecting a side wall that I could use for advertising. The Minelab Swing Arm is no help for this kind of overhead work. But this is where the SAGA excels. Doc
  15. The disadvantage of a Hip Stick is it transfers the weight to your belt and pushes your pants down. The disadvantage is solved when you use the Hip Stick in conjunction with an Ultra Swingy Thingy because the Swingy holds your pants up as you have mentioned. Doc
  16. The inventor of the Hip Stick has routinely bought my Swingy Thingy to package with the Hip Stick. The Swingy Thingy is the perfect fit for use with the hip stick. Doc
  17. If you have 10 seconds, you can detach the SAGA. You just leave the Pivot Joint on the rod, as well as the rod clip. Then you push a button pull the rod out of the Pivot Joint and set it aside. The SAGA is not just a Swing Arm, it's a coil guidance device. I understand why you think you would not need it for the smaller coils, but trust me, when you see what the SAGA does you need it for small coils as well as big coils because it will save you a lot of stress on your body. SWING arms do just what they say, it's an arm that allows you to Swing the Detector with both hands. The SAGA Is a Swing Assist Guide Arm. Watch this video and you will see that there is no "SWING ARM" ever made that does what the SAGA can do. I forgot to mention I had a customer that was using the 16 X 14 Mono coil and had a shaft clamp on the Garrett Axiom rod break. Garrett of course replaced it and it was probably a freak occurrence but since installing the SAGA the customer has had no further issues with the Garrett rod. But you have to remember that a large coil puts a lot of stress on a rod especially at the end of your swings. You are swinging in one direction then abruptly changing direction and swinging in the opposite direction. Changing the direction of your swing when the coil has momentum going in one direction causes a lot of stress. It's sort of like whiplash. All of that stress is directed at one place, the lower part of the detector rod where the weight of the coil is. Probably in a slow motion video you could actually see the rod flex as you change the direction of the swing. We saw that a lot in the Minelab lower rods is the SD/GP/and GPX series. If you were using an 18 inch coil it was not unusual to see the rod snap right above where it attached to the coil. The SAGA stops that stress because you are equally pushing with one arm and pulling with the other. The swing is much smoother and more controlled and you don't get that violent change of direction stress. Doc Start at the 2 minute mark.
  18. If Minelab was to do that. It would be in CODAN's own factory located in China. I can't see them sub-contracting where they would not have quality control over production. The machines made in Malaysia are made in Codan's factory. Doc
  19. LOL. They started calling Gerry, and Rob Allison and myself Minelab Legacy Dealers. That alone sounds like we are outdated. I looked all over my body when I took a shower, and I'll be darned if I can find an expiration date, but who knows? Doc
  20. But where are the pictures. You know what they say, if there are no pictures it really didn't happen. 😁 Doc
  21. I agree the hipstick is a remarkable device. However it works on a different principle whereby it directs the weight straight down onto your belt, which is fine. Your waist handles weight much more effectively than your shoulder. A hipstick with an Ultra Swingy Thingy is magic. Doc
  22. Well there is no doubt that is one of the many pluses of the Ultra Swingy Thingy and I love that about it too. There is just no way your pants are going to stay up with all the acrobatics we go through while metal detecting. That's why I think if I could use those features and combine it with something that is designed correctly to do weight transfer, it would be a winner. With most of these lite weight machines, the AXIOM GPX6000 the Ultra Swingy does the job without the need to transfer weight because they are relatively lite. Doc
  23. Gerry the Pro-Swing does have some serious design issues. That being said the concept of transferring the weight is genius. You are much taller than I am, hell everyone is much taller than I am... but here are a few tips for people who have not figured out how to make the Pro-Swing work properly Literally everyone I have fitted their Pro-Swing as described below loves it. 1. I only use one strut, and forget the yoke use it for a boomerang. If you swing right handed then put the right hand strut together, if you swing left, use the left strut. Using both makes you feel like you are in a straight jacket. You don't need two. No one uses two hipsticks. You might want to mess around with two struts if you are swinging a monster coil. 2. The upright strut, adjust it out as far as it will go and use electrical tape to secure the adjustment by wrapping it around the rod. 3. Where the struts join together tape those as well. 4. Adjust the back strut so that strut runs tight against your rib cage, and tape the adjustment. 5. Take the vertical back strap and fold it over by at least a 1/3 of the Velcro type material. Forget about leaving it the entire length even if you're tall because the Pro Swing Struts are noy long enough to work properly. 6. Forget about wearing the harness the way you think it should be worn, with the belt at your waist, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. 7. The belt of the Pro-Swing has to be fitted right below your man boobs. That's right, you're going to look like a ninny but you will soon see that the Pro-Swing is the duck's nuts. I'm sort of kidding but the proper position of the belt, but it has to be way way above your waist. It is fitted properly when the strut lifts the shoulder strap off of your shoulder. 8. In order for the Pro-Swing to work properly whichever side you have the strut on that strut and how you place the belt on your chest is critical. It must be adjusted so that the shoulder strap on the side where the strut is at is lifts the shoulder strap completely off your shoulder even with the weight of a detector attached. If you are right handed you should have so much clearance of that right shoulder strap sitting above your shoulder that you can take your left hand put it on your right shoulder and the strap should be above your hand. The strap SHOULD NEVER TOUCH your shoulder. If it does you defeat the function. 9. The entire concept of the Pro-Swing is sort of similar to a block and pully. The more times you redirect the weight of something the less force you have to use to pull the weight. The weight of the detector on the strut must never be interfered with until it is re-directed to the back of the belt. If the shoulder strap touches your shoulder then your shoulder is carrying the weight and it can not be re-directed properly. So basically the weight of the detector goes down the vertical strut and then is re-directed towards your back where it pushes the belt out and away from your back, that force is redirected to your chest area under your man boobs. LOL However, by that time the weight has been redirected and redistributed so many times you don't even realize the belt across your under chest gets tighter when the weight of the detector is being supported by the strut. Look at the pictures. In the first picture you can sort of see that the right strap is up and off my shoulder. Also the positioning of the belt is far away from my waist, it is right under my man boobs, but I think it's that high because I am sitting down. The second picture clearly shows that the waist belt of the Pro-Swing has to be worn high. It has to be high enough so you can see daylight under that shoulder strap where the strut is. So don't give up on that Pro-Swing it's amazing, it's just designed poorly IMHO. Some day when I have the time and money I will do a Harness with a Support Strut System that functions properly without all of these hoops you have to jump through. Doc
  24. BKelin, are you in the U.S.? If so give me your address and I will send you one of my new ABS plastic clips no charge. Is it the clip that goes on the shoulder "D" ring? If that's what broke that is exactly why I beefed it up. Doc
