    Hello everyone, i'm Mark from Italy.

    I'm an impact owner since aug.17.

    I'm using it every days but i'm experiencing a lot of problems with standard DD coil.

    Suddenly it stops working in some positions and progressively it stops working in any angle (no balancing, no sound at all...).

    I’ve already changed 4 coils because i’m still under the warranty period but i really want to solve the problem.
    My dealer has already sent me the new coil and stem but periodically coil fails again.
    So the question is: it’s only me? Is it a know issue?

     Please read the below info carefully regarding the 2.4 GHz Wireless Headphones compatible with Racer 2/ Gold Racer and Impact:

     WE SHIPPED ALL DEALER BACKORDERS AS OF TODAY.

     The headphones have been updated and finalized with hardware and software changes. We have also added a battery level indicator tone when the headphones are turned on.

    FOR RACER 2 AND GOLD RACER - The headphones will ship with a dongle and MAKRO LOGO on them.

    FOR IMPACT – They will ship with NOKTA LOGO and without the dongle. In other words, there is only 1 headphone and they will work on all 3 machines – without a dongle on the Impact and with the dongle on the Racer 2s and Gold Racers.

     We apologize that they were delayed so long and thank you for your patience!

  5. Hello all...I get emails from customers asking for an update on the optional coils and headphones for the Impact.

    IM24 Waterproof DD Search Coil 24 x 13 cm (9.5" x 5") and IM40 Waterproof DD Search Coil 40 x 35 cm (15.5'' x 14'') are now in production and have shipped to most of the dealers around the world.

    Wireless headphones - test samples have been received by the testers and we are waiting for their feedbacks. If no issues are encountered, we will go to production. Will keep you updated.

    I wonder if Kellyco "repairs" LRL's too? I find that concerning. Kinda like going to a doctor who prescribes pixie dust, doesn't inspire confidence. 

    That said, I'll be patient once again and see how this gets dealt with - I responded to Dilek last night and forwarded our old email chains where I had already explained this as it was happening in 2015, with no resolution. 

    I'd love to finally get a working detector, but the reality is it's been so long that I've already planned to buy a Deus. It's a bit like finally receiving an outdated computer you bought but never got to use 2 years ago, all the reasons I bought it for are gone now and if it had been functional I would have sold it already to fund the next purchase.

    Hello Jason. As I explained to you in my email, it is very unlikely for me to not to respond to a customer who is having an issue with our device. I had an email from the service center confirming that they had already talked to you which I just forwarded to you. Since I have not heard from you after that point, I thought it was all OK on your end. I still apologize though on my behalf although I tried my best to do the right thing for you. 

    I believe the most important thing here is for you to get a working unit in your hand and I already gave you my word on that. 

    My team will follow up with you with further instructions tomorrow.

    Nokta on the other hand - well, I still don't have a working detector after 2 years.  :angry: All that happened is I was referred back to Kellyco when I contacted them directly, the same Kellyco that had already botched up, and kept passing blame (and charged me for their errors in shipping) twice already.  Who then proceeded to keep sending me broken detectors with the exact same problems (I suspect they sent me the same detector back on at least one occasion). Now, 4 detectors later, still don't have a working one. Gave up. Posted about it twice, after trying all other avenues since Nokta seemed to respond to public posts - nada for me. Just a total and complete waste of $700 and being entirely ignored. A frustrating and baffling experience all around for me and I will go out of my way to recommend avoiding them, especially since even now no one has tried to make it good, just...nothing. Did people actually get customer service from Nokta or just shovelled off to Kellyco?

    I'll take the engineers any day...

    Hello there... I am quite surprised with this post. It is true that we refer customers to Kellyco because  they are the authorized repair center. It is just more convenient for people in the USA. However, once we refer them to Kellyco, we assume that the problem is being handled and the customer is taken care of. Can you please do me a favor and email me with details of your issue and I will personally make it right for you.  dilek@noktadetectors.com

    2.4 GHz Wireless Headphones
    Pairing Instructions
    1. Insert the dongle in the socket located on the left side of the system box and turn the detector on.
    2. Switch the on-off button located on the right side of the headphones to ''on'' position.
    3. The blue LED on the left side will start blinking fast.
    4. For channel selection, push and hold the trigger switch forward and press the down button simultaneously. Each time you press the down button, channels will change between 00-05.
    5. When the pairing is successful, the audio will be heard through the headphones and the blue LED will start blinking slowly.
    6. If no pairing occurs, press on the button marked with a white dot on the headphones with your finger to switch to the channels at the alternative frequency. Then repeat the pairing process at number 4. Each time the white button is pressed on, 1 or 2 beeps will be heard from the headphones. Each beep indicates switching between channels at alternative frequencies. 
    7. Once the pairing is complete, the headphones and the device will connect automatically at the next start-up.
    8. If the paring is not successful after you remove the dongle and insert it again, repeat the above processes.
    6. To adjust the volume, use the on-off/volume knob on the device. 
    NOTE!
    1. If the connection is lost during pairing, turn off and restart the device and the headphones and repeat the process.
    2. If the disconnection continues, turn off the device and the headphones and remove the dongle.
    3. Insert the dongle again in its socket and repeat the above process.
    Charging
    1. Insert the supplied charging cable into a USB socket (PC, adaptor etc.)
    2. Insert the other end into the charging jack on the headphones.
    3. During charging, the LED next to the charging jack will light up red.
    4. Charging will last approximately 4 hours.
    5. Upon completion, the red light will go off.

    You may be right about this California, and thanks for posting this test. There is so little information posted on this detector from actual users, and especially with this particular coil, that every little bit helps.

    My dealer called Detector Electronics and said he talked with several of the folks there. No one there has heard of this problem with this coil before, but they are sending a new one to replace it and we will see if that one also does it. Email to Makro has not been answered as yet.

     

    Hello! This is Dilek. We have not received any email regarding an overloading GR small coil. Which address did you send it to? I personally check each email (just like I try to read the forums on a regular basis) and I make sure that each email is answered by somebody in my team if not by myself.   16. Hello all. Just to give you guys an update - we have made a change in Makro brand distribution. 
    We will distribute the Makro brand to multiple dealers in the USA moving forward meaning we will not have an exclusive distributor.
    There is no change in the Nokta brand distribution. It is still distributed thru Kellyco to other dealers. 

    For Makro, we are evaluating dealership applications and will assign a few more new dealerships based on certain criteria with location being the most important one. 
    Any dealer interested in selling Nokta products, should still contact Kellyco directly.
