Garrett Z-Lynk Adapter For Tarsacci

Hi.  Just received the mdt 8000. Would love to hook up the garret z link.  Which adapter do you all use if you use the wireless with the tarsacci?  And, any suggestions for the settings in red dirt??  Thanks in advance!

The tarsacci comes with a pig tail that screws into headphones port and uses 1/8 female plug for your 1/8" male plug from the receiver for your headphones.

Your going to need a plug adapter for the Z-Lynk. The Z-Lynk plug is too big for the Tarsacci (I think the Z-Lynk plug is 1/4" and the Tarsacci accepts a 1/8" plug). You can get one on Amazon for less than $10. The Garrett headphones also are built better than the ones that come with the Tarsacci. They also have a volume control which is nice. It makes the MD'er a bit heavier, but I'd rather deal with that than to have to deal with the headphone wire...just my two cents.

Or if an adaptor is needed the buy a 12" 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor and mount receiver on arm cuff.  I always do that so there is no extra weight on coil end of unit.
