I do wish the antenna was also black, but this new configuration which tucks most of the antenna inside the shaft is a big a aesthetic improvement. That is good news .Besides it being and aesthetic improvement, with the shaft being "all plastic" it will stop the falsing from the cam lock pin and upper shaft when the lower stem is retracted and coil folded in. It's good for everybody, and there should be no bad blood between Calabash and those involved. We're all just detectorists. That's a universal shaft maded by an eastern European factory with multiple attachments for almost any detector. Really scarce pieces in stock however.
