Masking Issue... Or Normal?

And finally, the only way to be 100% sure is to dig all the trash but that's often not practical nor necessarily fun.

Run the 6'' coil and cut your iron bias to 0 or -1 . For some reason someone at Minelab thought it was a great idea to lean on the iron side. I run an 800 and did own a 900 for about 2 weeks. This should help you with the no target syndrome. Just remember to verify all your strange tones from every angle possible, still nothing and you will hit it a month from now. Sometimes it comes down to the conditions of the soil (wet/damp) and some strange angle you didn't approach the last time out. The reason I dropped the 900 was because of the unstable ID's and the lack of tone break between a copper penny and a dime. I'm a tone hunter and it was really disappointing, I really wanted to love the 900 but in my area it just wasn't to be. This is not a 100% fix but it will help. Spend enough time in one spot and you will find all the stuff you missed the first time. Use your Horseshoe to try and verify iron vs good target. Detecting is mostly luck and paying attention, which sometime I don't have and don't do!!!
