  1. Thanks Chuck I never even took into consideration that not everyone ventures into Facebook, when I posted those videos up, but I will from now on, honestly I am thinking about asking one of the Admins or Mr H to remove the thread until they are up on You Tube and then re post here
  2. Hey Chuck I did ask Andy if he would post those videos up on YouTube and he said he will but he is going to do some videos with the V80 while doing some digs and add those videos together with the other two videos, so as soon as he post them up I will post them up so people can watch them if someone does not beat me to it LOL
  3. I did ask Andy if he would post it up on You Tube so maybe he will, I will keep an eye out and if he does I will post it up for those that can not watch the ones on Facebook
  4. Sorry about that Chuck he has not posted them on youtube and I did not realize people would not be able to see them because they were on Facebook, wonder if I should just delete them you probably are not the only one that will not be able to see them then

  6. OK I kind of jumped the gun on this, these (WILL NOT WORK) with the Legend, only the transmitter that comes with them utilizes Codec aptX LL, the Bone Conduction Headphones themselves do NOT I apologize for the confusion LOL, now I need to go and cry in my Wheaties or soup LOL
  7. I have been using a set of Avantree Neckband speakers called Avantree Taurus and really like them a lot, there is a couple other Legend users that I am aware of that also uses the Avantree Taurus neckband speaker, @Chase Goldman can attest as to just how good the Avantree Taurus work, well the reason for this post is Avantree has now come out or getting ready to come out with a new Bone Conduction head phone that is also compatible with the Legend and any other detector that utilizes aptX LL https://avantree.com/medley-air-open-ear-wireless-headphones-for-tv?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=featured&utm_campaign=6015 Specifications Details - Transmitter • Bluetooth Version: 5.0 • Audio Codec Support: aptX-LL, aptX, FS, SBC • Supported Profiles: A2DP, AVRCP • Operating Range: Class 1, 100ft/30m Earphones • Bluetooth Version: V5.0 • Audio Codec Support: FS, SBC • Supported Profiles: A2DP, AVRCP, HFP • Play Time: Up to 8H
  8. My previous statement was incorrect it was in version 1.08, because prior to 1.08 we did not have the ability to do a factory reset, so again it was in version 1.08 when I started doing the Factory reset prior to installing a new update.
  9. As I told Chase Nokta or Dilek has never stated to do a factory reset prior to installing a new update, I started doing the factory reset because I was having a different issue at one time and someone suggested to do a factory reset before I did a re install of what ever firmware update I was on at the time I believe it was and issue I was having in 1.06, so I just started doing it before I install any new update and also when I do a re install, it seems to work better when I do it this way, the way I look at it either way you loose any saved custom user setting because you have to do a factor reset any ways and it only takes a few seconds to do the factory reset so I do one before I install a update and also after I do a update and I also do the same thing when I do a re install of any of the updates.
  10. Dam phrunt all that stuff is like me trying to read Chinese LOL you may be correct in what you are stating but personally I have absolutely no clue about it Nokta never has told anyone to do a factory reset before installing the updates they just say to do the factory resets after you install the updates, I just started doing the factory reset prior to doing the new firmware updates, so everything was cleared out before I did the installs some one suggested it to me to do it that way when I was having other issues and it seemed to work so I just do it that way now
  11. Chase here is the thing with this statement every time someone has had issues similar to what I am describing, Dilek and Nokta has suggested to do a reinstall and a factory reset, so for me it has become common place to do both before contacting them I understand what you are saying about bricking the legend but, what I have just stated is Nokta's recommendations each time before activating a service ticket, about an issue, so any more i just attempt a few re installs before contacting Nokta, I will say Nokta has always been vary quick about responding to issues which I absolutely love about them, the only other company that I am aware of that has that kind of customer service is Garrett, there may be others but I have not had to deal with service issues with others.
  12. Here is something else for you to ponder and i am still scratching my head on before I downloaded the Beta test version 3, I checked the updater tool that was already on my PC that was for the Beta test version 2, the Beta test version 3 was already in that updater tool and the Beta test version 2 was gone, which like I stated I am still scratching my head as to how the new Beta 3 test version got there before I downloaded it, I did go ahead after checking the previous update tool download the beta test version 3 and used the new download though, I just found it strange that it was already there with out downloading it
  13. believe me Chase I have the same questions as you going through my head and I am one that has to get to the bottom line (WHY) these installs of new versions seem to work correctly for some and then others they do not go so good at all it is just like the freezing up issue, my first Legend I never had a freezing up issue until 1.09 came out then my first legend froze 5 times on me, which I did report by the way, I did several re installs of 1.09 and factory resets doing that seemed to stop the freezing up, then I installed the first Beta test version one no freezing, then came the beta test version 2 my legend started freezing up again more re installs and factory resets seemed to fix the freezing again, at least with the 1.10 version 3 my legend has not frozen again, but all those things are starting to make me gun shy LOL if you get my meaning
  14. to answer this no I did not test anything between the re installs, I did the initial install and when i noticed what I noticed after debating myself as to whether to do the re installs, I did them, I also have not re mounted the LG28 or LG15 the LG24 seems to be working now but I will have to perform some more test to actually verify that is the case, I do intend to try all three coils just to make sure, nothing else is off with the Beta test version 3
  15. It is rite in the instructions when you download a new version, to do a Factory default reset after a install of a new version, and you are not the only one that does not read through the instructions
  16. I understand what you are saying Chase, I do a factory reset every time I install a new version and occasionally after, I do not believe Nokta is doing anything intentionally as far as the update and having to re install the new versions, I just think sometimes it takes a couple of re installs for the updates to set in correctly it could be that it glitches at some point while installing or something was just off I am not really sure what the deal is
  17. OK after I posted this thread, I decided to re install the 1.10 Beta Test version 3, so what I did, I did a factory reset and then did the reinstall of 1.10 version 3, then I performed another factory reset and reinstalled the 1.10 version 3 again and another factory reset, I then took it out in my yard where I have some targets buried and tested it out again with the LG24 coil it seemed way way different and much much better, prior to these re installs it would not hit a 10K wedding band at no more than 1-2 inches, with the 1.10 version 3, and the tones seemed really weird also prior to the re install of 1.10 version 3, after the re installs and factory resets it seemed to help a ton, I am starting to think each new version needs to have a few re installs before the update sets in correctly, if that makes sense, this new beta update is not the first time I have had to re install a few times before it seemed to work correctly, I will try it out again when it is not dark outside, and having to do the testing by headlamp though, but it did seem to help my Legend My recommendation to you is to do a couple of re installs on your Legend with what ever version you are currently using at the moment and see if it does not make a difference on your legend with the LG24, if you do decide to do the re installs do not forget to do a factory rest between each re install
  18. Well I will be honest, I am not sure about this third beta Test version 3, I installed it on my Legend I have been trying all the Beta test versions on, prior to this latest 1.10 Beta Test Version 3 and prior to the LG24 coil I was seeing great depth and great stability out of my Legend and was really liking the Beta test version 2, but something has changed in my legend with the new 1.10 version 3, the only thing that was changed according to Nokta is they added a zero setting in the iron filter settings, but something just does not seem rite now with my Legend, up until today I was unable to get out and detect because of snow on the ground and it has been cold, I received the LG24 coil and had been unable to try it out until today Friday, we got a warm up, and Nokta put out another 1.10 Beta test version number 3 so I installed it, it is like Nokta has now done what I was fearing the most that with all these updates my legend seems like it has been dumbed down, the depth just seems to be gone, I was seeing great depth prior to this 1.10 version 3 with the LG15 and LG28, my next step is I will remove the LG24 and mount the LG28 and or the LG15 back on my Legend just to see if it might be the LG24 coil itself, I can not go back to 1.10 version 2 because it is no longer available, so if nothing else I will revert back to version 1.09, which I did not want to do I may try to re install the 1.10 version 3 again just to see if it might not have installed incorrectly and do another factory reset again, not sure what to do on this one, but something is just off with my Legend now since installing the 1.10 Beta Test version 3, the Beta test Version 2 was working great for me, but no longer with the Beta test version 3, it makes no since because there was only one new thing added in the Beta test version 3
  19. No way send them every thing that's for sell and keep the detector
  20. oh hell no all that stuff will open up a can of worms and work I pass LOL, find another sucker, I suggest you auction it off or send it to Flea Bay, you might even try Facebook market place, or just donate it to some poor fool LOL

  22. Just a heads up I have installed this new 1.10 Beta Test Version 3 already on my legend that I have been running the Beta test version 2 on when I opened the updater for the Beta test version 2 update tool the 1.10 beta test version 3 was already in it but I had downloaded the test version 3 and extracted all the files first before I checked the updater tool so anyone choosing to install this 1.10 Beta test version 3 may want to check the updater tool to see if the 1.10 beta test version is there before downloading the file.

  24. i HEAR what you are saying phrunt, I am vary interested in the V80, I have read everything about it several times, and each time I read through things I notice something I have missed each time, I just hope it comes out as good as it sounds, we shall see, I keep telling myself I do not need any more detectors LOL, but we know how that goes, the V80 peaked my interest when I first read about it, I had my order in for a Manticore but the longer i waited, the more I lost interest, I ended up cancelling my order for the Manticore, I do have my name on a list to get the V80 though
  25. Read my two last replies it is pertaining to your question
