yep I intend on getting one of the new nokta pointers when they come out also, don't know if it will pair with my avantree torus neck band speaker or not but don't really care either, i do not use the headphones that came with the Legend but will still get one just to see if they are any good, the other thing about the New X Pointer and the older version is they are a tip only pin pointer which I like I also have the Simplex and that was the only reason i purchased the Pulse dive pointer to pair with the headphones that work with the simplex plus but I never have been able to get the pulse dive to pair with the headphones for the simplex at all and trying to get it warrantied was a pain in the butt so I just gave up on getting it fixed or replaced

definitely wait for the new X Pointer Max with the Magic Holster, I was lucky to find one and I like it a lot

yep and then wonder why they wear their pointer out the only thing I actually use my pin pointer for is to run it across the surface to se if the target is close to the surface before I ever stick a shovel or hand digger in the ground just because I do not trust the depth indicator on any detectors, my pin pointing with the detector is usually spot on but the depth indicators can be way off that is one thing that irritates the crap out of me with the you tubers is the first thing they want to do is dig craters with their shovels and then have this big open hole where the target is, only to find out that if they would have pulled out their pin pointer in the first place and ran the pointer across the surface they would have realized they did not need to dig to china to retrieve their target because the target is rite at the surface

X pointer max is also rechargeable and water proof to 16 feet, also has vibrate only mode

I have the nokta Pulse Dive (Pulse Induction), Fisher F Pulse (Also Pulse Induction), The original Garrett Pro Pointer (VLF) The F Pulse for me is way to quiet and the vibration is so weak you cannot even hardly feel it vibrating when pin pointing a target, the F Pulse is my least favorite pointer I currently own The Nokta Pulse Dive I do like except it is very very heavy pin pointer, which for me personally makes it a very UN comfortable pointer to use one suggestion I have for you is to also check out the new 2023 model Quest X Pointer Max pin pointer, that comes with what Quest calls the Magic Holster, what the Magic Holster does is allows you to turn the X Pointer Max on while out detecting and while in the new Magic Holster the X Pointer Max is in stand by mode until you are ready to pin point with it, you just remove the X Pointer max from the holster and it automatically turns on and is ready to locate your target, once finished pin pointing put it back in the Magic Holster and it goes back into stand by mode, another nice feature with the X Pointer max is it is a discriminating pin pointer which works very very good, the Quest X Pointer Max is also a (VLF) pin pointer and is currently my favorite pointer I use

Personally I think a coil cover (Skid plate) should be supplied when you purchase a new coil or a detector, would I ever let it stop me from purchasing a coil or detector because some manufacturers do not supply a coil skid plate absolutely not

I am anxiously waiting to get one of the V80s # 1 on my dealers list to receive one just wish the testers of the V80 would post up some more videos of real world detecting with one of the V80s

If i were to place a piece of tape over the speaker on my F Pulse i would never hear a sound come out of it

I never had any falsing issues with my F Pulse, I just could not hear the dang thing and the Vibration was so weak you could not feel it when near a target, why fisher did not add the ability to turn the volume up in the F Pulse and Tec Point I will never figure it out, that's the other thing I really like about the X Pointer Max is it has 5 volume levels, I had to turn both mine down to 3 because they are extremely loud at 5 but I would rather have to turn the volume down as apposed to not being able to hear my pointer LOL

I Like the Quest X Pointer Max so much I picked up a second one, I purchased the new 2023 model which is identical to the previous model X Pointer Max except now they added a sensor inside the body of the new 2023 model and a magnet in the holster which they call the holster (Magic Holster) what this does is while you are out detecting you power on the pointer and leave it on and when you re holster the new X Pointer Max it goes into stand by mode then when you remove it from the Magic Holster it automatically turns back on for target retrieval I am liking the two X Pointer Max pointers I have a Lot the new 2023 model also does not false near as much as the first one I purchased either, the first X Pointer max I had to turn the sensitivity down to medium or high because in boost was when it would false, the new 2023 model I picked up I can run it on boost all the time the 2023 model also seems to be deeper than the earlier version I have also, when I compare both in equal settings the new one is deeper by about an inch I also have been on a search for a pointer I like I have a Nokta/Macro Pulse Dive which I do like but it is way to heavy, also have the F Pulse and hate the dang thing because I can not hear it and the Vibration is so weak it is useless, I kept going back to my original Garrett pro pointer I purchased in 2009 but this new X Pointer Max I am really liking a lot

giving the Xterra Pro a serious look but I have a question on connecting a set of wireless neckband speaker to the Xterra Pro will any wireless earbuds or headphones work with the Xterra Pro or do you have to use a set from minelab ??? what is the wireless connection that the Xterra Pro utilizes to connect to the headphones ???

that's a heck of a deal, I have been in contact with Avantree to produce a pair of Bone Conduction headphones that utilize aptX LL Bluetooth connection, so here is hoping LOL

My Avantree Torus last about 2-3 days on a charge and I listen to music and metal detect with them they will alert you when they are getting low on charge

One thing I noticed when pairing my Avantree Torus to my Legend is I have to make sure the Bluetooth in my cell phone is off and also no other things with a Bluetooth connection like a lap top is near by, then I set the Bluetooth connection in my Legend to 1 and turn on the Avantree Torus neckband speaker and it pairs rite up also as phrunt stated sometimes it takes a bit for them to pair, but once they do pair they connect almost immediately every time you boot up the Legend in the future wish you would have said you were going to purchase the Avantree Torus because I would have advised you to purchase straight from Avantree site because when you purchase straight from the Avantree site they give you a two year warranty instead of a one year like when you purchase from eBay or Amazon

Thank you Mr H for moving this to its proper place I was kind of in shock when I posted this up because I had just recently with in the last few weeks been in a conversation with Monte about purchasing one of his nail board test for my own personal use, and it just kind of took me by surprise when I read of his passing, again have sent prayers for his family

As Voyager32 stated I also am using the Avantree Torus and love them for the same reasons as you stated they allow me to stay aware of my surroundings they work very very good

Well I just appreciate the fact that someone is putting up a video trying to show the V80 which is a detector I am very interested in, even if it did not show everything that people are interested in.

Absolutely agree with you on the Bone Conduction, Avantree did make a pair of Bone Conduction headphones that used aptX LL, at one time but no longer make them which is disappointing
