  1. Agree with your assessment of the sounds of the Simple wish Nokta would update the sounds to actual tones or something that is the only thing I do not care for on the simplex
  2. Kinda surprised me Chuck, if it actually happens that would be something
  3. well I did get confirmation from Quest in the same PM they said they are going to be offering a package with just the 9x5 so that is good news, in my opinion at least they are listening to their potential customers, they relayed to me that several dealers expressed this to them also
  4. I also expressed how offering a choice of three different packages would be a good thing, there are a lot of us including myself do not use a 11 inch or larger coil, and that a package with just the 9x5 coil would be an ideal package along with their other offerings would be a great thing, I also recommended doing the same for the the V60 would be good
  5. Received a PM from Quest detectors on Facebook saying early March for the V80 and V60 is when they will hit the Market. thought it was pretty cool they took the time to PM me personally, (Tail Features Wagging) LOL I replied back to them thanking them for reaching out and expressed my thoughts on the packages that will be offered for sale, I asked them to consider adding a third package for sale with just the V80 and the 9x5 coil, so we shall see here is hoping
  6. Agree 100% a 6 inch round would be the only other coil I might want but not a 11 inch, that is just me though because there are those that will want the larger coils for beach detection or wide open fields
  7. Have not personally seen one but am planning on purchasing one when they come to market, already have my name on a list for one with a dealer in the U.S which I also believe will become the go between for Quest and the U.S for after service sales, and repairs That V80 really intrigues me so I am going to pick one up to try one out, I have read many good things about the Quest detector, but never pulled the trigger on one simply because of the after service being non existent in the U.S, I have a feeling that is going to change but will hold all other comments until it is a for sure thing again I am going to purchase a V80, which I made a suggestion on the Quest Facebook user group to offer three different packages for the V80 currently Quest is currently offering two different packages for the V80 and one for the V60 What I suggested to them and as far as I know no other manufacturer does is this offer three different packages for the V80 and two different packages for the V60 V80 current packages are V80 with a 11x10 inch coil and a package with 9x5 and 11x10 coil V60 current package is V60 with 11x10 coil personally I would never use the 11x10 coil on either the V80 or the V60 so my suggestion was this Package A-V80 with both 11x10 and 9x5 coils (they already will be offering this) Package B-V80 with just the 11x10 coil (they already will be offering this ) package also this one I suggested Package C-V80 with just the 9x5 coil only for the V60 I suggested they add a package with just the 9x5 coil only again if they would do these packages like I suggested to them i truly believe that Quest would up there sales on both of the V60 and V80, and they would start a sale trend that no other detector company offers of course who am I to suggest anything to these companies but just one end user that wants it my way will I not purchase the V80 if they do not do this, I will still make the purchase but will have the 11x10 setting there collecting dust
  8. She is most likely referring to the AG (Audio Gain) being added to Gold Mode, The BC (Bottle Cap Rejection), and the GS (Ground Suppression), I have been testing all of those settings especially the GS setting because of the ground I detect, I do not know if there are any other feature's that were added that were not mentioned in the feature list or not but maybe Nokta is going to add a few more features that were not mentioned in the list when 1.10 came out who knows, as I said I am really enjoying the newly added features in the 1.10, I feel that once the 1.10 is finalized as long as only a few tweaks are done with out dumbing the Legend down, I truly believe the Legend will be complete. There will always be those users that no matter what is done by a manufacturer they will literally pick a detector apart because those users are never satisfied with anything no matter what, you could give those users a perfect be all to end all detector and those users will still never say (good enough), Legend users are complaining now saying there is to many updates, the problem is there are those unsatisfied legend users that keep asking for more and more so Nokta keeps delivering the more and more, for me after this next update as long as nothing changes but for the good, the Legend needs no more. Again these are my opinions and I am only one Legend user in the scheme of the whole picture.
  9. I have been also testing the 1.10 beta test version installed both Beta 1.10.1 and 1.10.2 I am not seeing the same thing as you, in fact I have been able to push the sensitivity up quite a few notches since installing both Beta versions areas I once could only push the sensitivity to 15-19 I am now able to run 26-27, the ground balance on my Legend seems more stable then what it is in 1.09 (which was one of my biggest complaints) With the Legend in other versions, also I am finding the TIDs seem much more stable and the depth has increased for me, on the ground I detect, The tones also seem even more cleaner than in previous versions, even though the tones were good they just seem better to me. I am really liking this new 1.10 soon to be 1.11 version, my hopes are with some seeing what you are that reports to the provided email does not dumb the Legend down like they did with the Simplex from my understanding 2.77 was a good version on the Simplex and because of unstable TIDs that people reported that is why 2.78 came out everyone I have chatted with says the 2.77 was a deeper version, I do not know if this is the actual case but it is what simplex users have told me, I just hope Nokta does not do this with the Legend. I am fortunate enough to have two Legends to allow me to do comparisons between two different versions, so I am running one with the 1.09 and the other with the Beta test version's 1.10, 1.09 is a good version but I am finding 1.10 to be even better These are my opinions, (on the ground I detect), But others may see something totally different on the ground they detect
  10. there was a question posed by Carl on another site about does the coil weights of all the Legend coils, as to whether the weights listed for the Legend coils included the coil cable also. can someone answer that question do manufacturers include the coil cable when they list a coils weight my thoughts are the coil cable is part of the overall weight of a coil, is this correct
  11. Yes Sir George and those types are the ones that are letting their dogs run loose off leash and crapping all over the place and then they do not even pick up after their dogs
  12. same with the difference between the LG28 and LG30, 2. some thing Ounces may not seem like a lot when held in your hand but add that, 2. some ounces to the weight at the end of a pole and it then becomes significant and noticeable, its amazing how the feel of a detector can change just by removing a little weight at the end of the shaft I could not even imagine how that LG35 coil would feel to swing because it is a huge weight difference between the LG35 and all the other coils, I picked up a 14x8 inch coil for my 24K and the weight difference it added as compared to the stock coil and 6 inch round coil is huge
  13. I am going to say yes to the question, I have one that I absolutely did not like, most likely was my fault but it was the vary first detector I purchased the AT PRO me and it just never did mesh together purchased it the first year it came out and I used it for about 4 months and sat it in the corner and went and purchased a Xterra 705 which I absolutely loved, and I know there are many that will not agree and say I was crazy to not give the ATP a chance but I just never did mesh with the ATP, I do still have the ATP but I have donated it to Terry Solomans Veterans cause, if he can ever get someone to come and get it
  14. Well for me the 11 inch feels toe heavy, so I use the back up battery pack to act as a counter balance to compensate for the toe heaviness, the difference in weigh between the LG 28 and LG 30 is not much but in my opinion the LG30 will balance out just a little better than the LG28, and even though the weight difference is slight it will make a difference in the over all feel of the Legend in my opinion I have the LG24 on the way and will get the LG30 at a later date and most likely once I have both new coils they will be the ones that are mounted to my Legends all the time just because of the weight differences, personally I see no need for me to purchase the LG35 ever as the weight of it would be to much at my age to swing for vary long, and the areas I detect the LG15,LG24,and LG30 would be all I need
  15. this is for anyone that wants to know what each coil weigh's and to compare the weight of one coil against another Legend coil LG15 - 381g - 13.43 oz LG24 - 385g - 13.58 oz LG28 - 565g - 19.93 oz LG30 - 499g - 17.60 oz LG35 - 751g - 24.49 oz
  16. I do understand, and I think you can tell by my responses, that I just could not believe someone would actually attempt to purchase one of these snake oil detectors, wonder how many new detectorist actually did purchase one LOL
  17. Hey Mr H it is quite all rite with me if you delete it, I just could not believe the price they had up on their site makes the Deus 2, Manticore, and almost any detector made, in the VLFs quite reasonable when you look at the price they are trying to get for that Qz80 LOL
  18. will send you a PM with a Link for them they are made by a company called Inductive, that was the first pair I tried, the second pair I purchased off of Facebook the Inductive brand are like $60 and the second pair was like $30 here are the Inductivv brand and I will warn you it took me about 3-4 weeks to finally receive them https://www.inductivv-headphones.com/v0/?flux_fts=tclcxtzoxtixttioztzeticoiozzacqzaaxtzqt607e4&gclid=0&network=g&campaignid=19462607955&adgroupid=143588967494&creative=646095907913&keyword=inductivv bone conduction headphones&device=c&target=&targetid=kwd-1688373339287&extensionid=&matchtype=e&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImdL2uYT6_AIVsA2tBh2HyAASEAAYASAAEgIBevD_BwE
  19. that's true LOL, maybe they would throw in a monkey to do the Digging there is two companies in the U.S selling them I would be curious to know if they have had anyone purchase one
  20. I seen that Falke, hell that is GPX6000 cost the Qz80 is only a 14 KHz VLF from what I read unless I am reading it wrong, I have no clue what that Falke detector is after I seen the price of the Qz80 the Qz80 does have a pertty screen though but not $2700 Pertty, for that price they better include a pretty woman to dig your targets for you LOL That Qz80 price is almost two Deus 2s LOL
  21. And people thought Deus 2 is expensive https://vogeldetectors.com/qz-80/
  22. What, which ones do you want us to look at reviews on LOL I have two different pairs of Bone Conduction headphones from different manufacturers and both work great as long as you are not using the Threshold
  23. did not really figure you would suggest them Jeff if they did not work but you would be surprised at the responses and suggestions I have received on earbuds and things that I have already tried and that did not work, I specifically stated I did not want anything that plugged my ears or wen over my ears, and stated the reasons why but people keep making the same suggestions, of things I specifically stated I was not looking for. it gets frustrating to say the least. again I do not want earbuds because they plug your ears to the point you are UN aware of your surroundings the same for over the ear headphones, my wife goes out with me all the time so I have to be able to hear and know what she is doing at all times, there has been bears reported in the area I have been detecting and also recently Mountain Lion's with my wife's dementia she does not always have the best judgements, and I do not want her to mistake a bear for a over size dog, not saying she would on purpose but it is just a fact that people with severe dementia do not have the best judgement it one disease I would not wish on my worst enemy.
