  1. just noticed this the Ground balance on the V80 can be adjusted in the settings which in my mind would mean you could adjust the GB to a more positive or more negative setting which if I am reading the specs correctly the V60 does not have the ability included to adjust the GB more positive or more negative so there is a few differences in the two.
  2. The Main differences is the V80 runs 80 KHz in Hyper Q (Multi F) both the V80 and the V60 runs the same coils, the V60 is the same as the V80 but only runs up to 60 KHz as far as who is going to be selling them in the U.S I have only heard of one so far which is Andy Sabisch whom is also one of the testers of the V80, but I am sure there will be other dealers HYPERQ: Transmit multi essential frequencies ranging from 7 to 80kHz to the ground, simultaneously. Higher detection frequency. The HYPERQ platform is able to deliver multiple frequencies, including signals up to 80kHz, simultaneously to find fainter targets deeper with higher precision in difficult conditions. This is possible due to its use of a high-performance micro-controller unit(MCU) with a 480MHz speed Cortex-M7 STM32H750 series, as well as a low latency and low noise 4 channel 768kHz sampling rate ADC5140 from Texas Instruments. Higher processing speed. The V80 machine is able to generate and transmit frequencies of 5, 10, 15, 20, 40, and 60, thanks to its powerful MCU and analog-to-digital converter (ADC) unit. Additionally, this combination allows for the processing of multiple targets simultaneously and quickly reporting the most valuable results. Auto noise canceling. The high-speed processing capability enables us to run high-accuracy automatic noise cancellation with just one click. It will select the quietest channel for the upcoming detection in just 10 seconds. 3. Nice wright up, and I will agree with others still vary pertinent to day
  4. I thought George was talking about a different video not the one I posted up LOL that was what was confusing me, since I have been checking YouTube every day to see if there are any new videos
  5. I agree with everyone on the Predator tools I have the model 24 phoenix shovel, and the Lady Bug also have the model 85 hand digger the problem with the predator tools shovels is trying to make up your mind which one to go with LOL but they are fantastic shovels and vary well made The way the Model 24 Phoenix shovel is made on the blade it is almost impossible to not dig a great Plug
  6. remember this statement by me I will never say anything about the weather I am getting again LOL received my LG24 coil Tuesday and what do you think happened yep you got it we now have 6 inches of snow setting on the ground in Oracle AZ LOL 😒😷
  7. I received my LG24 Tuesday afternoon and that same day it started Snowing we have about 6 inches on the ground, the temps went from 65-70 degree temps to 22 degrees and I am in the southern part of AZ, the only thing I can say is it feels good on the Legend, been setting in my recliner waving different rings, and coins over the LG24 just to see if the target IDs remain the same LOL probably will not be able to actually try the LG24 out until the week end maybe if we do not get anymore snow
  8. the shovel he uses also plays a huge part in how well he cuts plugs, he is using a Predator tools model 24 Phoenix shovel, I also purchased the Phoenix shovel and it is almost impossible to not cut a great plug with the Phoenix shovel because of the way it is made, after purchasing the Model 24 phoenix shovel I will never purchase a different shovel again, just a great shovel all around, I also purchased Predator tools model 85 hand digger and will say it is also a vary well made hand digger
  9. I actually use the Mineral meter for the same thing you suggested it also allows you to follow the black sand I.E Magnetite, as well as the salt content The meter reading to the right is for salt content the Left is for iron particle content
  10. Thanks Mr H for the response, I have always done a factory rest when changing coils on all my detectors until I got my legend, the Legend did not have a way to factory reset until one of the updates was released to us and then the ability to factory rest was added, I never could figure out why Nokta/Macro did not put a way into the Legend at first allowing the Legend to be factory reset it just never made sense to me
  11. ok think I have found the answer on Garrets web site, what I read does not specifically talk about the Garrett 24K but I watched a video where they stated all Garrett detectors you perform a factory reset when changing to a different coil so I am thinking the 24K would be the same
  12. Switch on the Mineralization meter on your Legend that meter will tell you how mineralized your ground is, the mineralization meter was added in the 1.09 version, when the Mineral meter is active you will no longer have a ferro check, because when you activate the mineral meter in the Legend it changes the ferro check into a mineralization meter this is how you activate the mineral meter hit the ground balance button and then click the horseshoe button you will now see GI (Ground Indicator) on the Legend screen to change back to the ferro check do the same thing as when you activated the mineral meter only now you will see FC (Ferro Check) on the Legend screen the left side of the mineral meter is (Iron Particles) in the ground the right side of the mineral meter is (Salt Content) in the ground
  13. Back when I started using the AT PRO back in 2009 Garrett recommended doing a factory reset when you changed to a different coil on the ATP my question on the Garrett 24K is this also the recommendation when changing to a different coil, or is performing a factory reset UN necessary on the 24K when changing to one of the different coils still learning the 24K and liking it a lot
  14. Me to Jeff at 63 no way am I going to detect that quick, unless I have a death wish LOL
  15. I like Jeremy but there is no way in Hell that I would ever recommend to anyone to detect like he does, or take the way he detects as educational, he swings all detector's way to fast, it works for him but that would never work for me, or in fact most people that detect, in my opinion, I can only watch his youtube channel for a short time before I am pulling my hair out and screaming Slow to F down dude.
  16. I agree with the others on the 24K, I actually have 2 of the 6 inch coils and the 10x6 as well as the 14x8 the 14x8 I use in more open areas because you sure are not getting it under rocks and stuff been giving some thoughts to parting with one of the 6 inch coils, but not sure yet because just as sure as I sell it or give it to someone the one I keep will quit working LOL
  17. Here is a good coin program for the Legend 1.09 version, by Scott Luppro on YouTube known as Mental Metal Detecting, I have been using his coin program in my Legend that is updated to 1.10 Beta test version 2 but beware you will miss gold jewelry and some other targets if you set this up with this, this is a coin program, I did tweak it a little so as to not miss some gold rings, but not much it is a vary good coin program https://mentalmetaldetecting.com/nokta-makro-legend-coin-program-setup/
  18. That would be a good thread to start, the question is always asked by new detectorist about other accessories like pin pointers
  19. I do not know what the weight of the Nokta/Macro Pulse Dive is but it is also vary heavy and long, compared to the Fisher F Pulse and the original Garrett Pro Pointer the Pulse dive is 3-4 inches longer maybe actually 2 inches than either of the two I mentioned i have never weighed any of the three
  20. here is Andy's post on Facebook Andy Sabisch · The Weight Question: =============== . Several people have questioned my posted weight of the V80 with the larger stock coil since it differs from what is being posted elsewhere. I am not going to say that the factory has not made a last minute change but weighing the unit I have been testing and was updated about 4 weeks ago, it weighs 3 pounds 1.4 ounces . . . here is the scale and weight. It is well balanced and as those that have used the CTX 3030, weight properly balanced can feel better than a lighter unit that is not balanced.
  21. According to Andy Sabich the actual weight is not correct in the specs he posted up on Facebook it weighs 3 pounds 1.4 ounces with the 11x10, that is what he said his test unit weighs
  22. I sure wish someone would make that little coil for the 24K i was able to pick up the 14x8 inch coil off of Jim McCulloch and I really like it but man did it add some weight to the 24K, I would really like to try that 4x6 and it would also give me every coil for the 24K
