  1. I can replicate the same thing with 0.7 and a 9 inch coil. I have 3 custom programs and the -6.4 discrim program is in between the other two. Now after power on and i'm in 'magic' mode I can go up to the next custom program then back down and the magic remains. Yet if I go down a custom program then back up it goes away. So in -6.4: If I + then - programs it remains. If I - then + programs it goes away.
  2. The manual is incorrect in the beach programs. It says beach discrimination -6.4--99 when in fact it is only 0.0--99.
  3. You can't go that low with the beach programs, they only go down to 0.0 for some reason.
  4. Would having differing electronic components across different machines be the cause? Chip shortages may have forced a change in components/processor manufacturer. Just guessing here.
  5. It should be labelled ver 0.06b
  6. A post from the UK distributor reads : "Over the next 2 months, there will be significant volume of Deus II coming to the UK this was confirmed by XP to me this Morning 16 March 2022"
  7. This has come up on my FB feed. Its looks like XP are listening. edit: It looks like it is already in the current firmware. People are re-installling and the option is then present.
  8. UK stock being sent from France this week. When they actually arrive in anybody's guess. Source: A post from the UK distributor.
  9. Could do, It would probably be over £200 round trip though. I'd rather wait.
  10. There are still very few in the UK.The next UK delivery is in around a month I am led to believe. With a larger percentage of 9 inch coils.
  11. They should add a stock program that starts wide open then you can add filters as required.
  12. Just from using a nox. I am on a waiting list for a D2. To be fair though Chase, the ferrous it is like a carpet of nails at this beach so depth is not really a problem. Now if the emi degrades separation performance, then the problem remains.
  13. I will be detecting a beach with EMI most of the time, so I need the SMF to counter the salt. Catch 22 for my situation. I guess nobody else will be able to deal with it (emi) either so nobody will have an edge. It will be a competition of who can tune it the best.
  14. I'm confusing myself here as well. What are you losing with a high setting?
  15. French is correct. This is a presumption as the manual was written orginally in French. I may be completely wrong here.
  16. Apparently the translation in the user manual is wrong. The English version says : when using higher levels of SALT SENS, low conductive targets that register around TID 30 may also be slightly attenuated. The French version says: By reducing SALT SENS low conductors around TID 30 will also be somewhat attenuated.
  17. I'm still on a waiting list for a 9". Coming from a nox, the tones of the deus fascinate me, I will probably get one anyway and find out for myself what it's capable of on my beach.
  18. We will have to see if it is a hardware fault I guess. It's certainly not making my decision to buy one any easier.
  19. It's not my video Rick, Is that the type of range a broken ring would come in at? I'm not used to deus TID's.
