  1. I can see if it’s not over a 100 Tarsacci in the field it wouldn’t be profitable but at the same time I’m surprised they making the 12” one. That the same time I can see why the high cost of the 12’ coil. I don’t see a high number of sales of it either. Chuck
  2. Most detectors that come out will start with a large coil and then work their way down in size . We all know that the Tarsacci started out with a fair size coil and then went bigger. What I’m wondering if Tarsacci will ever see the need to making a smaller coil say something around a 9.5 X 5 are maybe a 5” round one? Chuck
  3. Yes you’re right schoolofharfNox and I realize that when I seen his video on the AQ . What was said about where you can find the detector now happens to a lot of detectors and one day you find it in a estate sale. I found more rings way back when you had to dig everything. Chuck
  4. I’m sorry to hear that he’s not willing to spend the time to learn to use it . Some people just don’t want to learn new tricks you could say. Maybe he too should been the one to pass it up and let it go to another . If he’s a friend keep him they can be hard to find. Chuck
  5. Okara gold I’m sorry you having to wait so long to get your detector back. What I’m wondering if you had to pay shipping? I had a detector just one month and the speaker went out and I had to pay shipping to them. The turn around time was great and they paid to ship it back. I ask the rep. about that and was told that is their requirement that the customer pay the shipping to the repair center. Ok but this was in the first month of having it . She did say she would check on that and I guess she’s still checking.haha Maybe they’ll give you the new model if you have to wait much longer. Chuck
  6. I’ve been getting the email from Minelab about this contest that will end tomorrow for a cap are T shirt . After that I’m sure a 18 wheeler will be coming down my street to deliver all the caps and T shirts I’ve won . I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve entered. I did tell them while they going to have to make that trip anyway go ahead and bring my 6000 with them. I’m like George Washington in I cannot tell a lie but I can stretch heck out of the truth. Chuck
  7. You know another pulse detector company shows what their new pulse detector has over any pass pulse detector of their own. They show in detail what or why you should be willing to put out your hard earned money on their new product. Now I can understand when told the Limited AQ was made at a limited profit. Again when told the new AQ has so many features that the price will have to be double. I just want to make sure I’m getting a new detector not a new paint job on a old model. I say Fisher lay your cards on the table and quite beating around the bush about cost and what it has to offer . Chuck
  8. Rick When the TDI detector first came out only dealers who had training on it could sell it . Did you Rick have any training from First Texas before you were to sell them? Chuck
  9. Rick Has the limited hundred of the original run of the Limited AQ been reached as of yet? If not where is that number now! Chuck
  10. If we look at the detectors that are already out and the one’s coming out what do you want? The Nox 800 may not be the best swimmer but other than that it still does a good to great job of detecting. I can pick it up to go relic, coin and gold hunt on land or water. The Tarsacci bye the videos I’ve seen can be a good to great relic detector . What being said it really shines as a beach be it land or water. I myself haven’t seen it at a straight dirt digging coin detector. Then here comes the new AQ from Fisher and up front they say this is a water detector. It’s specialty is to find gold deeper than ever before in wet sand are in the water. The Nokta/Makro we just not sure but according to Dilek they are working hard to get it to us . The Garrett people not too long ago came out with the Apex . Any new detector some will say it’s as great as moms Apple pie and another say it’s not for me . What all this comes down to would you want to buy one detector that can do everything good to great? In a roundabout way getting something free. The other choice you would have is buy one for water another relic and another for nugget hunting. Then to if you wanted to go digging in the dirt for coins only you best add another detector. I really don’t want to be hauling all those detectors around that fits in it’s own little niche. I could see were it would be best to have a water detector if it’s made to handle saltwater. My reasoning is saltwater is unforgiving if it gets into the electronic of your detector. Now if you don’t do saltwater hunting but just freshwater I know from pass experience it is forgiving. Then you may not have need for water only detector. It comes down to buy one and get three free in that one. The other choice is buy and buy until you’ve got yourself covered in all of what you like to hunt . Chuck
  11. CCadrin You may not believe me what about to say. You could get a long jail term by owning two AQ but I’m willing to save you and that’s by you sending me one . I’m willing to help you out and that’s out of the goodness of my heart by I’ll pay postage.haha Sorry to hear about your back trouble and I will look back on your post about the rings found. You be careful down in Florida they things that will eat you. We don’t have a problem like that but we got mesquites that’s big in south Texas you have to be careful of. If over a hundred pounds no problem but keep a eye on the kids. Chuck
  12. CCadrin Okay on what you said you have my undivided attention. The AQ you’re talking about does it belong to you? My reasoning behind this is I for one would like to hear more on what you think about the AQ . I don’t guess we’d be so lucky you do videos but if not I’m willing to read whatever you post.. The Best! Chuck
  13. Carolina I don’t have a Tarsacci as of yet but I’m still on the fence looking. That price on that 12” coil is adding up plus you still don’t have a coil cover. I hope to see more videos on it and I’m sure in due time we will. The trouble with anything if you want to play the game you have to pay the price. The best of luck with that 12” coil if you bite the bullet and purchase it . I do like the way it’s setup offering different ways you can buy the Tarsacci. Just remember you’re not going to take it with you and for myself I want it be a sad day for everyone when I go. The Best! Chuck
  14. Alexandre and Rick I thank you both for the quick response. I do understand profit and loss being I have found myself on both sides of the fence over the years. I also understand people not liking the jump in price on the up coming AQ . I can’t say I’m any different than anyone else but if I want it bad enough come hell are high water I’ll have it . Like said You get what it pay for but at the same time if I feel that’s not true I just don’t buy it. Chuck
  15. I may have fell out of my tree again because here’s something I just don’t understand. You got a Limited AQ selling for 1500 and here come summer you have another AQ that will be selling for over a thousand more than the Limited. The word Limited is just referring to the number of detectors made on that run and as we’ve been told that number was 100 . What I’d like to know is the Limited ones also limited in brains as one would have to think that justifies the new AQ such a increase in price that goes with it . If it’s face is one only a mother could love with a bunch of knobs that okay . I’ve seen some of the best detectors ever made have nothing but knobs. I do have ears and I’ve been digging on sounds for years. I thank you ahead because I know somebody out there can answer my question and at the same time reduce the pressure on my brain when I think too hard. Chuck
  16. Chase I understand from where you’re coming from and no I’m not going diving with it . I do know how salt water has a bad effect on anything over time. Some time back I drop a non water detector in freshwater. I picked it up and emptied the water then removed the battery pack. Went to my car and turned the heat on and within 20 minutes I was up running. I’ve never had trouble with that detector but if that was saltwater it would been history. The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask. Chuck
  17. I see that some may not have the external speaker and I think that’s good but may not have the upgrade battery compartment . Dealers out there now may have one option are none but can you get a upgrade at no cost to you the buyer? Chuck
  18. A little positive news is better than no news at all and I thank you for posting.. Chuck
  19. I thank you dewcon 4414 for any info you have on the Tarsacci. A speaker on any waterproof detector makes that a weak point that don’t need to be. I find myself in no rush to buy due to weather at this time. I have one waterproof detector that works okay in water but may be better on dry land. Then three others I need to keep away from water especially if it’s salt water.. Maybe not to much longer I’ll get off this fence and buy the Tarsacci. Chuck
  20. No company is in business for their health and all have to make a profit. If I make a PI detector do I want to sell one are do I want to sell hundreds. I can’t make a profit even selling one out of a hundred then why bother with a PI . If it’s some great detectors out there for under 1500. for land and beach then anything above that in price will be a hard sell. You can always find some willing to go for the high dollar ones but again it’s volume of sales that pays the bills. Chuck
  21. Unless this new coil has good to great depth if you’re swinging that stock coil correct are you really missing anything. I’ve been what you call a dirt digger more some of you are old. I’ve always swing my coil around half over my last swing. So that 3/4 inch more don’t do a lot for you unless it has overall greater depth. Like said we shouldn’t be covering a foot after foot. It shouldn’t be over 6 after 6 inches. If you not doing this you can be missing targets. Chuck
  22. When that 12 incher get in the hot hands of Tarsacci users that’s when it will get interesting. Looking forward to the show & tell of different people in the field. Like anything we got to know the price of a new coil. Chuck
  23. Hey Paul Like said no place like home and we welcome you home. Great place to express yourself and we all love show & tell . The Best To You! Chuck In south Texas and its snowing.
  24. When in the AF I went to Thule Greenland in 64 and that’s one place I’d want to go back to. You couldn’t get far from the base because a storm could come up and you couldn’t make it out there if it did. I do know what I’d carried back to the USA in larger quantity would have great value. Down in a bowl where the base was the winds had got up over 150 mph and gust up to 175 mph. That one time ran for 3 days straight. So you can see you just can’t throw a backpack on and go . I never seen any Polar Bears on the base but you could find them at trash dump . You’d look like one big steak dinner to them . That’s just another little problem you have to deal with. Chuck
