  1. Right, they've gone upstairs with the sterling silver. And they sound good... We don't have an iron filter so all you can do is slow Recovery Speed (to 1) and listen well for that 'looooong' tone, it's slightly shrill with every swing. If you slowly approach the top of the coil, negative ID's will appear. I'm finding more Silver than with the Nox 800 without a doubt. It is also true that it sounds throughout the extended scale, not just above and with that easily recognizable high-pitched squeal. I explain... This men's chain came out on an ID around 24-26. The Pandora bracelet rang very low, between 14-18. That heavy ring came out in an amazing 94-95 ID. The thin women's rings with stones jump around 42-48 and the heaviest around 74-82. I think it's better to cover the screen with a piece of duct tape... 😂 It works well on the beach. Yeah...
  2. ...deserved to be fixed at a jewelry store. That's how it has remained.
  3. ...I think it's more similar to the 700-900 range than the previous Nox. Extended scale, VCO audio, ML85 headphones... Only when you turn it on do you realize that the processor is much faster. I l want to see the test with the oscilloscope too. Plain and simple, it doesn't work like an SF. I don't believe it, experience tells me it's impossible... Underwater is amazing!!! I have also tried it on hard terrain beaches (where my Nox 800 has problems) and it still works just as well. I don't know how they did it... Far above Nokta's "multi" range. In my opinion. An excellent starter machine...🤣
  4. And taking Silver from the beach is just as good or better than a Nox. That takes out about 130 hours. It's not bad at all...
  5. ...I disagree. I have a Nox 800 since 2019 and an X-Terra Pro since the end of March of this year. The Nox has been in the garage for more than a month without leaving... This came out last storm. Two nights on the beach in a row, it had been a while since I had such a good time. It shouldn't be that bad...
  6. ......That piece came out at the doors of my house, first day; just taken out of the box. I live on the seashore and that area has been detected for years too! It was deep, about 10' inches, but it's not so much deep?! ...No ??? Take a good look at the photos, it's broken at the bottom...It was a weak signal, forget about the ID, but I could hear that clean tone in the background that I adore. Among all those familiar iron growls. Curious. And for the price of a coil. Master play!! 😎
  7. ...Last night I returned to the same beach, I knew that I had left gold; I could 'almost' smell it. And I wasn't wrong... A DANA has passed through the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula and has brought waves of more than 2 meters. You have to go out there and play, now! The night started with a silver bracelet signed by PANDORA, we're doing well... A lot of old currency, in Spain pesetas were used before the arrival of the euro. There were quite a few! The wind was beginning to take its toll on me, it was the second day in a row and my strength was beginning to falter. Another silver ring!... I found a patch where targets kept coming out, another hard coin, a lead bear and BANG!!!! Gold wedding band. Almost 10 grams in a couple of nights, thank goodness it was a 'starter' detector. I have already passed the limit of 100 hours (this weekend I try it with the other coils for real) and I can only say the same as a famous Spanish bullfighter: Im-presionante!!! I am exhausted and with a smile that does not fit on my face...😁
  8. I've had it since the end of March. You're going to love it!!!! I also sold my Legend, I couldn't tune in with it either... On the Mw beach I think it is too weighted for high conductors, there is no way to get gold... Stability runs at 5 in Factory settings, I don't get it, you're losing gold! Everything that does not "understand" goes to ID 11, in short, an error (in my case). The X-Terra Pro will be paid soon, It has got more Gold in a month than the Legend in a year. You will tell us...
  9. Good choice. I've had it for just over a month and I'm very happy with the new toy... Around here, when the colleagues saw it on the beach, another two have already been sold!. He loves gold like me...
  10. Eleanor !!!. My unicorn, I've been looking for this machine for a long time. I recently slipped that one in eBay Germany. And that the title was misspelled... Brand new, it had two hunts, aggghhhh... There is great demand for the Sovereign GT. Logical...
  11. Yes ,It's a little bit heavy...and you need to be in shape for the holes you are going to dig. This is the best combination I have found: - Detect-ed carbon upper shaft, and - Shorten the lower shaft a bit, your shoulder will appreciate it. An excellent coil.
  12. I'm a beach hunter and I like to carry a replacement for everything that can break. I have been using a Nox 800 since January 2019 and a Legend since Christmas 2021. It is easy to know who is going to replace this new Mini Nox...
  13. ...I save that appointment. Open mind is the first option that should appear in the configuration menu of any detector! When I started in this there were no screens, no VDI... and small findings came out even so. There were no forums either and nobody taught you anything...Rare was the day in which he coincided with some other detectorist. But all that changed. Now we are "a few" on the same beach. Each one with a better team and always the same ones in the same places... Typical expression: There is nothing, no Gold... Get out of your comfort zone!!! Try new beaches, new programs, another settings. If you always do the same, you will get similar results. I detect on the beach, I do it at night and I do it alone (less diving)... It is the only way to continue learning. If you are changing equipment every six months, if you only want to copy the configuration that they just told you, you are finished. Next summer you won't be on the beach anymore. If the wind bothers you, and the water is very cold... then I will arrive and the jewelry will be mine. That's Silver has come out of the new X-Terra Pro in about 70 hours. There is no tourism yet, why do you go out in winter, some colleagues ask me... Open Mind.
  14. That glow on the scoop at dawn..aghh what a feeling!. And more after a job well done. I still think that the Nox 800 has life, and when "it's hot" together with good hands, it gives brilliant results!... Beautiful piece and heavy. Congratulations.
  15. I'm so sorry you decided to sell it, that's not good news. I've been following the Manticore since the famous Christmas ad... I had decided, now, I don't see it clearly... Thanks for your sincerity.
  16. Hi, Sorry, I hadn't seen this thread. As I have already told you privately with any of these three units you will not be wrong to begin with. But that's what it's all about, starting... It seems that we have already forgotten the principles. I am a fan of speed motorcycling and owner of a Yamaha R1 '08. I would never have chosen it as my first bike. If you are going to start with a Nox 900 (easy to recommend and even more if the budget is not a problem), what will you have left for the future... a Manticore? a Deus 2? Or will that Nox 900 go to the bottom of the storage room as soon as the summer ends?... You should also consider the option of a Simplex and if ID is so important to you with the Vanquish you would be fully satisfied. My recommendation remains the same as what I have already told you, to begin with you will fall in love with the new X-Terra Pro and if you like it you can always buy the detector of your choice later... After learning with a Nokta Makro Anfibio when going to the Nox 800 I was blocked for almost a summer (they are completely different machines). The same thing happened to me with the Legend and the X-Terra never ceases to amaze me. I am now with the VCO audio. dP I'm liking it a lot and both the Nox and the Legend haven't set foot on the beach for a month... If you are not going to be able to avoid looking at your neighbor with his brand new Nox, buy a used 600 or if you want it new the 700. As I was telling you this morning, spend the money on a good scoop and good headphones! I don't like giving advice...
  17. Sorry, remember from Spain... Hi, I have that coil in a nox 800 and you have to adapt it a bit, let me explain... First of all, and this cannot be changed, it will be noisier the bigger it is. Yes, but also deeper! You can't have both. Obviously, pinpointing will always be more difficult. But, if you lower a sensitivity (which I see you've already done) and lower its recovery speed, it will become a weapon of mass destruction... I work in sensitivity ranges of 17-19 and recovery speed around 2-3. You will have "longer" tones but the serenity will return to your headphones... That coil is terrifyingly deep and well built. A little heavy (shorten the lower shaft a bit, you'll see that it feels much more balanced)...
  18. Hi,I have that coil in a nox 800 and you have to adapt a bit, let me explain... In the first place, and this cannot be changed, it will be noisier as it is bigger. Yes, but also deeper!. You can't have both. Obviously, the precise localization will always be more difficult. But, if you lower a sensitivity (which I see you've already done) and reduce the recovery speed, it will become a weapon of mass destruction... I work in sensitivity ranges of 17-19 and recovery speed around 2-3. You will have "longer" tones but serenity will return to your headphones... That coil is terribly deep, and well built. A little heavy (shorten the lower shaft a bit, you'll see how much better balanced it feels)...
  19. ..I think Minelab already did the test with v 3.0 by introducing 4 kHz in Nox seies. The X-Terra Pro in Beach mode runs at 8kHz. Part of the 'secret sauce' to get hat stability?.
  20. ...not funny, very funny!! And it will be paid several times this summer (I think). Last night waves and easterly wind, perfect conditions. I managed to get a gold ring out of the hole, but I lost it to the next wave... It sounded like "angels" ID 21 solid, again it will be...If I could get some coins. I'm already learning to the deep tone. I think for surf is another level... I'm having a great time.
  21. Yes, it's already paid. The vibration function is remarkable in the water (and you can cancel ferrous only). Keypad backlight! ...whoever has a Legend knows what I'm talking about. And pinpointer mode finally works. The wedding band rang out in a clear and solid 22-23. From the beginning I knew it was there. The audio is really good and now you got All Tones (At) and Deep (dP), what more could you want ?!?!... I reserve the test on the beach with the 15' Coiltek coil for a little later. I think it will be awesome! The €1 coin over 12 inches. Perhaps the new X-Terra Pro will be the next game changer...
  22. I have one since 03/22/3023 and I use it exclusively on the beach... Very good mechanics, the scuare shaft is a success, the coil no rotates during the hunt. The original coil is precise and very light ideal for wading and surf. I have tested it with the original 11' Nox 800 coil and the 15' Coiltek, it works perfectly. But I am doing the learning with the stock coil... Impressed with the battery life, more than 12 hours of search using shoft light on (I have 4 full charges). The stability on the beach is amazing, I think it's above my Nox. The fact that the coil enters and leaves the water is much better solved... The tones are clean and clear, it does not suffer from false signals. It is light and comfortable, you can hunt a lot of time without fatigue. I thought that being 8 kHz it would be good with Silver, I've been wearing 3-4 rings for a couple of nights. ID 72-84. But, it's also good with Gold, three pieces!!!. I don't know how they did it... Like a coinshoter has no rival, our best coin (2€) now goes to id 62-63. Much better than before with the compressed ID's. Pul taps have migrated to 31 and it's easier that way. I've come to hate 12-13 Nox. And if you don't dig it, there's no gold... For me, the extended identification it's better. In dry sand you can use Park 2 on 15 kHz also. Very effective, it reminds me of Gold mode, which I also use in dry sand, more reactive and with metallic audio. And now what I like least: - The bottle caps have gone up with the silver, - From 6 inches deep the ID reader simply does not work (normal in a SF). So far pleasantly surprised and very happy with the X-Terra. Who was going to tell us that it would cost less than €300... Thanks Minelab. 😉
  23. ......Old School, no screens. Only you, "your detector" and all the power of your experienced ears. Good job!. I have my eye on a Minelab Sovereign GT. To find good treasures, you have to get into the water. That "schizophrenic flute" (Nokta Makro Anfibio Multi) taught me the rules of the game... Location, location.
  24. ...old trash, fishing nets (some chain I have found tangled). Feel the beach. Detects barefoot (if the beach allows it). When walking along the coast, your feet get buried; it is not the place. Look for hard patches. You will feel them still warm under your feet the early hours of the night (effect of the sun as there is less sand). Move the big stones, don't be afraid to get wet. Dive, you need to know the seabed. Enjoy and be a pirate again! That silver bracelet came out with the Nox 800 and COILTEK 15' at I don't know what depth... BEST items are there, waiting for you!
  25. The interior texture is caused by the effect of the sea over the years. I have uploaded more photos of that particular piece so you can see it carefully. It's tested, it's 18k. If you look at the ring, it's broken at the bottom... It's the beach, not a jewelry store. This must be a "lot of luck"...
