  1. Sounds like you had productive couple of days! I agree, the Tarsacci is one heck of a detector on the beach!
  2. After five months of testing with Tarsacci on the same site, I can say that this detector performs better in an environment full of iron and ceramics compared to DEUS II and The Legend Nokta Makro. Requires more time to learn and the audio is slightly less describing the objects in the ground. On the one hand, it is not distracting, on the other hand, it causes questions. Iron does not mask as much as in SMF devices. Similarly, the temperature above 30 degrees C The Legend and Deus II lose performance and stability after 15 - 20 minutes, the Tarsacci is doing much better. Maybe it's a performance issue or maybe it's a hybrid technology. I do not know. Target signaling comfort is better in The Legend and D2. In Tarsacci, the object must in DISC mode produce a fast repetitive ding-dong signal. A small copper coin 10mm in diameter by 25cm from a very irony spot is not a problem. Sand soil. Ergonomy is slight better with D2 and The Legend.
  3. Just read the warranty Chuck - it's the exact opposite of what you say and has been since day one. Just like the last poster is telling you. https://tarsacci.com/warranty-policy/ The limited warranty will be considered void/invalid if the product was not properly registered to Tarsacci. This warranty is extended to the purchaser identified in the Product Registration Form (“Purchaser”) and is transferable.
  4. I'm confused why Dimitar would tell you the warranty is not transferable? Here is a copy and paste from the warranty policy for the Tarsacci - The limited warranty will be considered void/invalid if the product was not properly registered to Tarsacci. This warranty is extended to the purchaser identified in the Product Registration Form (“Purchaser”) and is transferable.
  5. What I’ve posted is coming straight from the guy that makes the Tarsacci. Chuck
  6. Well just a short time later I’m back with nothing but he did respond. I did ask if I could buy the Tarsacci without the backpack 🎒 and was told it’s free it comes with the packaging. That type of packaging cost money and I’ve yet to find anything free in this world. I ask about updates and one I’d like to see for myself are If any updates he would have for the Tarsacci in whenever . His statement was short but not so sweet in he didn’t have any as in none updates for the Tarsacci. He did invite to call him but I’d say he already told me what I wanted to know. Chuck
  7. Aaron you done more for the company than the man who owns it, The videos you went to the trouble of making done more for the Tarsacci detector in promoting it. He really needs to come out of that little world he’s living in . For what you get it’s the highest Price detector. It’s got the shortest warranty than anyone else. I forgot you pay shipping I don’t know why I’m posting this being everybody knows it already. I think it’s a good detector but needs some updates to make it a great detector that don’t look as if they coming. Chuck
  8. I’ve already said the forum is going nowhere until 2025 at earliest. I’d say that’s pretty generous given close to zero activity for quite some time now. In the event I pull the plug on the forum no threads will be lost, they will simply be moved to another location, most likely the Tesoro, Compass etc forum. It’s not anyone's job other than Dimitar's to try and single handedly keep things going. Ultimately it’s up to him to keep not just this forum but Tarsacci itself alive. If the manufacturer can’t be bothered to promote their own product then there is little reason anyone else should care.
  9. I’ve seen more activity in a funeral home than what I see here. This is what happens when even the company don’t show interest in what people have to say and don’t respond to questions ask bye email. Sad to say something good could be something great in given time. Chuck
  10. I’ve said it here before that the Tarsacci is one of the few detectors I’ve sold and regretted it. At the same time I’d want to see some updates on it before buying back into it again . A gentleman did offer to sell a used Tarsacci he had for a number of years but waiting on pictures first. Chuck
  11. Yeah, it's a moot point now if it was impossible to operate over 9 khz. But for the sake of discussion, you could have set disc to 25 or 26 and those wraparound coins would have been muted from the non-ferrous tones. All non-ferrous, ferrous and the notched ferrous would still be audible as All Metal tones but only non-ferrous would be audible as undiscriminated "ting" tones. Using mixed mode audio would allow you to simultaneously hear all the non-ferrous "ting" tones and the non-ferrous/ferrous AM tones (which are fully distinguishable from the non-discriminated "tings"). A ferrous target (including wraparound with the notch set as above) will only have the AM sound and non-ferrous will have the AM sound and a slightly delayed non-discriminated "ting". It's a powerful implementation that I used successfully in hot dirt. The only issue is if you care about any non-ferrous targets that might show up in the notched IDs. My only issue with Tarsacci was that the TIDs were very jumpy, so it was hard to get a handle on just what the non-ferrous target was. In hot dirt, I was digging all non-ferrous anyway, so it was a non-issue. But it was not a machine I was going to use amongst a lot of non-ferrous trash. I would be digging it all. No Thanks. It excels primarily as a beach or hot dirt relic machine. Otherwise, there are better options out there and highly versatile machines like Manticore and Deus 2 and to a lesser extent Equinox and Legend that are almost as good as the Tarsacci under those specific conditions.
  12. I had been viewing something other than the Tarsacci and was trying to make my way back to the forum when up pops I believe every video made on the Tarsacci. It’s so hard believe after all this time not one word of anything new about the Tarsacci. What I seen the last video was made in October 22 on the Tarsacci. I would think a dealer out there should know something but if not be asking the man in the know. I sure didn’t get anything out of him . I got a thank you for being a customer but not one word about just maybe coming out with a small coil. Detector Stuff I know you’re not a dealer for the Tarsacci but you had planned a interview with that company . Do you see yourself doing that anytime soon? I don’t see myself buying back into the same I had but I wish I’d keep it. That’s more I can say for all the other detectors I’ve own. The Tarsacci had be the best built detector I’ve owned but’s just in need of some updates. Only time will tell where the Tarsacci will be in a year from now. I truly hope not in a dead file somewhere. Chuck
  13. Just a FYI you can buy two of the batteries used by the Tarsacci off of Amazon for under 19 dollars that’s if you have the need. Chuck
  14. Dave - how high up the scale did the Tarsacci throw those coins? I ask because there is a way you can adjust Disc on the Tarsacci that covers the whole ferrous range and notches out 3 or 4 points of the high wraparound region (e.g., if you set Disc to 28, then all negative (ferrous) ID'S are disc'd and also 26 to 30 (Max ID on the Scale). Just wondering if you used that feature, but still found it to be ineffective.
  15. Mark If I had interest in buying one now I would do just that. My thinking was it would maybe lower the price and with that maybe it would be more interest. Talking with a dealer he couldn’t remember when he sold one. Detector is like buying a car in I don’t want to be putting my money for the same thing I bought 5 years ago. That’s unless it’s dirt cheap and in great condition. The Tarsacci I had and sold is the only detector I kick my rear for selling it because it was in great condition. I had conversed with the man about maybe making a smaller elliptical coil but after doing the two step with him I knew that was a no . That’s when I sold it being he’s the only detector company that don’t hear what a customer wants. I believe it’s the only company that the customer has to pay shipping to get his detector. That’s the way it was on the first one I bought and talking with a dealer nothing has changed. Like I said in another post you don’t get that extra backup battery anymore. Chuck
  16. I guess you could call this a update on the Tarsacci when you buy a new Tarsacci now you only get one recharge battery to go with it. I know when I bought mine it came with two but I didn’t see the price drop it’s the same as before. In my opinion he could keep the backpack and cut the price of the Tarsacci. For myself I had no need for it and it was set aside until I put the Tarsacci up for sale. Something was said about a Tarsacci 9000 but we’ll be lucky to see 8001 as fast as the updates are coming before it goes under like others before it . That truly will be a sad day if it does. Chuck
  17. I liked it......But could not get past the iron-wrap around. Here in Mexico there are bi-metal coins and the Tarsacci would throw those into the positive end of discrimination. Also, while it handled Black sand good. I could not hunt past 9kHz in Black Sand. I thought this was a handicap for gold. If not for the Iron-wraparound on these particular coins. Might have kept it.
  18. @Rivers ratThe Garrett headphones are about 30 ohms impedance and have too much Bass for me on the Tarsacci. My 150 ohm Killer Bs sound very crisp and make a world of difference. I use them with the Garrett Z Lynk receiver unit. Same setup on my Vista X.
  19. Thanks for reminding me to put mine up on the classifieds. It was the deepest detecting, non-PI detector in hot dirt I ever used. But with the improved ergonomics of the Axiom PI and decent versatility and performance of the D2 in mineralized dirt and at the beach, the Tarsacci really no longer fills a niche for me. Look for it soon. 🙂
  20. I half regret selling mine but the tones and the need to use the notch to eliminate high end falsing on my location killed it for me. Impressive detector though and I would be first in line to by an MDT-9000. Hopefully such a thing comes to pass because otherwise Tarsacci will end up just being a minor footnote in detecting history that most people never heard of. I'll give it until 2025 before I decide what to do with this forum. No finds being posted, no discussion of settings, etc. means no forum and if things don't pick up by next year I will roll it into the Compass, Tesoro, etc. forum.
  21. That makes sense to me. My Tarsacci can be effected by EMI but not as bad as some of my other units. It has always been huntable no matter where. Change frequency or drop Threshold/Sensitivity and it is still very effective. Maybe you will get a chance to try one again.
  22. JCR I myself didn’t find what you stated be the case for me . It could be I didn’t give myself more time in the field with it. I do thank you for any input you can give me and any other potential buyer on here . If nothing else guys we have put some life back in the Tarsacci forum Chuck
  23. CalReg On my last Tarsacci I had both coils and in my opinion I didn’t think the large coil was that great at all. If I do buy another Tarsacci I’ll get it with the stock coil. I just told a Tarsacci dealer I wish he’d leave off the backpack that in my opinion will never be used . That would help the customer save some money on something he don’t have the need for. I do have the need for a smaller coil but that ain’t happening. Chuck
