John-Edmonton
My buddy and I headed to a different location today. We shifted gears......I used my California Mini, he used his Le'Trap mini. I brought along my metal detector, searched the gravels, and thought I may have dug up a nuggy. However, it was not so. Anyhow, here's today's adventure......lots of pics
Gold Seeker
Could that nugget be a platinum nugget? Is it heavy for it's size?

Just a guess but here goes, 1.3 grams of gold? Good luck on your next hunt.

I forgot to mention that that creek looks a lot like what I pan and sluice in when I get a chance. The top picture, at the furthest spot is what the creeks around here look like that I have found some nice gold in. The areas near the buckets is where I start at and then go to the bend and dig about a foot above the water to get to the gold. Sometimes we just set up the sluice and dig some of the bottom of the creek and run through it. I don't remember the model of sluice but it is a Keene about 3 feet long. It sits in the water nicely and I funnel as much water that I can through it. When the water is not moving I have a 12 volt pump that does the trick. Glad I have a 4 wheeler to carry my toys for me and a girlfriend to hang on to them as I go over the bumps to fast.
