I was with my grandfather in Co. when he got a real good signal and I went to see what he had found.

It was a fairly deep signal of about 10 inches, and when he had finally got down to the object he told me to go to the car. I saw him slowly walk up and grab the cell phone and dial 911.

In about 20 minutes the county sheriff pulled up and started asking grandfather questions. I was told to stay with the car and direct anyone else to his location. There seemed to be almost 6 cars in about 30 minutes that had pulled up before grandfather came back to the car.

I asked him what was going on and he told me that he found a gold ring, but it was still attached to the hand.

I believe that had to be the most interesting thing that my grandfather had found, as for me I was detecting a campsite near the house and only found a condom still in the foil package about an inch in the dirt.

So I hope someone has something better than I do.

The ring still on the hand may be hard to beat!😱

I did have my ears almost blown out when I swung over about an 5" super magnite.

Two things, an ancient Chinese coin in a creek.

And a silver and ivory ring that I believe is likely also Chinese.

还有一枚银象牙戒指,我认为很可能也是中国的。

I found the coin on a Chinese coin database not long after finding it, it was a very old coin, thousands of years.  I can't remember now as I had that thread deleted so I'd have to research it all over again.

I wonder why they were there...someone buried them on purpose?

Both were areas the Chinese heavily were involved in gold mining at, the coin I think was around someones neck on a string or something, maybe their good luck charm and it was broken off, this creek has wild vegetation, it's so difficult to even get from the bottom of the creek where it falls into the lake a mile up the creek, damn near impossible in fact, it's path is down a mountainside, I've only ever detected the very bottom section of the creek and done remarkably well there on the gold, it's interesting to see all the old stacked rocks from the Chinese miners along the edges of it.  I'd love to get further up the creek but it's just too hard, I hear you can access it from higher up the mountainside to get to higher areas of it with a fair hike involved but I've never tried.

The ring was found at another area the Chinese heavily mined over an hour's drive from the creek with the coin, their cave huts are still there, and some old stone makeshift huts they made, I think it was simply just lost, even though quite a big ring in size its finger size is very small, it doesn't fit my fingers and I have quite small hands.  I think it's a man's ring, but a man with very small hands.
