blackflag
I recently got this 1236x2 because Keith Southern said it would pull silver out of nail beds and beat sites. How correct he was. I’ve been all over this coin with a few other machines. The 1236x2 got it with a clean hit. Thanks for looking. Todd Fayard
JCR
So called "old" tech still works, as it always did. Newer tech is great, but doesn't necessarily obsolete everything that came before. I enjoy that different machines have different capabilities & strengths. It keeps detecting interesting. Excellent finds, Sir.
DIG5050
That’s an awesome find. What coil do you have on your 1236-X2?

DIG5050
My 1236-X2 is sitting in the basement collecting dust. I’ll have to get it out and try it at a difficult old homesite with a lot of iron in the ground. Thanks for the inspiration, blackflag! Blackflag, you mentioned a 5” coil. I have the 8” concentric coil; I wonder if any other coil sizes/types still exist for this machine? blackflag
DIG5050, not sure about availability on coils but I’m thinking that they made a 3.75” , 5” , 5”x10”, 8” , 10.5” by fisher all concentric. Also made a couple aftermarket coils too , not sure who made those. What I do know for certain is that in the iron run silencer off sensitivity maxed out and disc clicked in to auto. It will be a little noisy, but I’m used to listening to a lot more noise than the 1236x2 can give. Ignore pops and clicks, just dig clean hits. It works I promise. Good luck.
