CZ3D Sale At First Texas

Recommended Posts

Is it a deal? What it used to sell for does not matter. Compare it to what else you can get brand new with warranty for $445 or less. That will answer your question.

Not waterproof, 7 target id possible, progressive vs notch discrimination, 4 tones, 3.7 lbs.

Sure, it's definitely old tech, and you can get a lot more for the money.

I guess my real question is: Who would buy one of these in 2024? Is it like some of the old Tesoro machines that still have followings among analog fans?

I absolutely loved the CZ platform back in the day, especially when paired with the 5” hockey puck coil. Top performing saltwater detector also…. back in the old days. So I see stuff like this and get a nostalgia hit, think oh gosh maybe I should get one. But I’ve done it before and it never ends well. May as well buy a 20 year old cell phone or PC because they once were great. Realistically I think they really are worth maybe $299 new at most based on the competition today, if not less.

I offered $250 for one on their eBay page a few weeks ago but they didn’t accept.   Probably for the best because after the nostalgia of deep coins and the high tone nickel of the CZ3D wore off I’m left with the memories of a 4 pound detector that is rather hungry for 9 volt batteries 😂😂

I’ll stick to 2pound Tesoros for nostalgia!!

I had a CZ 6a (basic same tech as the CZ 3D) as my main machine for 10 some odd years. Loved it on the beach, but had a love hate relationship with it park and relic hunting as it loved deep rusty nails. I don't think I would even pay $299 for one anymore.

Ill admit im a first texas fan, great detectors , best pinpointers for my soil conditions and great service . I hope they slide on the new metal detector wave and  come out with a deep all terrain, rugged metal detector.I still see a few people using the  CZ-21 and t2 the rest of their detectors havent aged very well. people want AI now days to determine if they should dig or not maybe go in that direction.

I received the email too, perhaps they found some in a storage room somewhere they need to offload, so  I did some basic research.

Good ideas never get interest from those that don't understand.
